Since Aakesh now had his candidate, there was no point in continuing to activate the skills.
The next mont, light particles started moving away from the smaller projection. It didn’t take long for it to disappear, waiting for Aakesh to call it back again. A similar phenonon happened once again as the second projection also vanished.
The next mont, a blank transparent screen only visible to Aakesh appeared in front of him.
It suddenly lightened up as Aakesh’s candidate appeared on it.
Aakesh could only hope to gain so rewards, which wasn’t a waste of his twelve hours since the number of golden lines wasn’t in overwhelming quantity when he had looked at the Elf using the Fortune Eye.

While Aakesh was selecting his candidates, a group of people was in discussion inside the lord’s house.
“Is the news credible?” The lord of the settlent asked one of his henchn, with a heavy look on his face..
“Yes, boss! I have gotten it from none other than Gordon after paying a large number of Soul stones,” The henchn replied, with a mixture of confidence and heartbreak in his voice. The reason for the heartbreak in the man’s voice was none other than him spending Soul stones from his own pocket.
“Hmph, you are more worried about Soul stones than what’s to co?” The lord of the settlent couldn’t help but rage after sensing the tone in the man’s voice.
The henchn couldn’t help but shudder as he knelt straight away and apologized for his mistake.
‘You don’t pay a penny, but I shouldn’t worry about spending my money,’ At the sa ti, the henchn thought in his heart. He didn’t dare to utter those words out loud as he knew that if he did, death would be the best result for him.
“Call Carlen for ,” The lord wasn’t impressed with the henchn’s apology as he ordered the man.
“You all have heard it. What do you think should be our next step of action?” The lord of the settlent then asked the people seated on chairs. He didn’t use the sa tone as he did with his henchn, as every single person seated on the chairs ca from an affluential family. They had their own issues for coming here, but it wasn’t sothing the lord could do about, despite him being several levels above.

Aakesh, who had been silently waiting for an event to happen, suddenly stood up. He knew the ti of action had arrived after hearing the warning alarms going over the city.

The next mont, an announcent about so debt rang in the area.
Aakesh didn’t have to think much about the reason as not long after, another round of announcents rang around the settlent.

The announcent still rang three tis so that no one would be able to miss it.
“Adventurer, co with us. The Lord wants to et you,” The sound of the announcent hadn’t even subsided when a man appeared in front of Aakesh.
Aakesh didn’t refuse the invitation since he could sense a new quest approaching him. He was here for an adventure, and how could he let go of that?
Ti flew by.
As Aakesh had expected, right after eting the lord of the settlent, a new blue window appeared in front of Aakesh.
The blue window contained the details of the quest.
After reading the details, Aakesh found out that the content of the announcent was different from what was happening in reality.
It was correct that the Phoenix settlent was attacking Nevada, but the reason for it wasn’t Nevada’s lord finding a Soul stone mine. Instead, it was the other side that had found the mine, and Nevada was the aggressor.
It was a stealth attack, and unfortunately, the son of the ruler of the Phoenix settlent was also one of the casualties of the attack.
Aakesh then looked at the reward section. Since the quest wasn’t manually generated but automatically, the system set a price of ten trillion XP as the reward.
Aakesh considered the danger of the quest, and after thinking for a mont, he decided to accept the mission.
ɴ[0)ᴠᴇʟ Aakesh didn’t care about the reason for the conflict, as it was natural for others to attempt to gain resources. If he would have been in Phoenix right this mont, he would have fought from their side. But since he was in Nevada, he would fight for them.
Aakesh then tapped yes on the screen and accepted the quest.
There were many Level 250 cultivators on both sides, so Aakesh knew that he couldn’t fight without considering the danger.
Ten trillion XPs weren’t a lot for the amount of XP he needed to gain a level.
Aakesh told the lord of the settlent about it, and he was more than willing to give four Level 255 n to help Aakesh in such a situation. Those four people were for Aakesh to decide what to do with them
Ti flew by.
Around an hour after the announcent, the battle between Nevada and Phoenix began.
Aakesh skillfully used the four Level 255 guards and killed anyone he could kill. He beca an untouchable being in the war.
Unfortunately for Aakesh, despite his efforts, Nevada lost the war. The lord of the Phoenix also ca from an affluential family, so he had called his uncle before attacking Nevada.
At the sa ti, the quest only asked for Aakesh to fight on Nevada’s side; he didn’t fail the mission.
