Chapter 284: Training

After selecting the second round for battle, the blue screen disappeared.

The cheers of the crowd stopped as a familiar figure entered the arena with a cold look on his face.

The bell then rang in the area and announced the start of the battle. The crowd looked at their favorite participants with complete focus. They didn't want to miss even a single move made by them.

Right after the bell rang, Aakesh stretched the bowstring and released it. He repeated the process at least hundreds of tis in less than a second. Each attempt resulted in an arrow aiming at a different part of the opponent's body.

Even though Aakesh was fast, the opponent wasn't slow either. He didn't make a single wasteful move.

Every flick or swing he made resulted in the arrow failing to hit him.

The battle between the opponent began with full flow. Aakesh couldn't help but smile, seeing the opponent stopping every single shot he released. These kinds of battles felt more interesting to Aakesh than the one-sided battles he had in Panagea.

If he used a sword, these battles would also beco one-sided, but defeating a swordsman with archery in one-on-one combat would always be an exceptional fight.

"Clang!"

"Clang!"

"Clang!"

Continuous sounds of tal clashing rang in the area as the opponent was able to stop each arrow Aakesh shot.

The opponent didn't just defend himself. With every swing he made, tens of arrows got decimated while he took a step forward.

Aakesh didn't do anything to stop the opponent from coming closer to him and continued doing what he had been doing since the start of the battle, shooting arrows.

The opponent didn't know why Aakesh wasn't making any moves to stop him from approaching Aakesh, but he still made his way forward. He knew Aakesh would never get tired no matter how many arrows he shot or how much ti passed, it would be him who would get tired due to defending hundreds of arrows every second.

Aakesh understood what was going through the man's mind, so he continued shooting hundreds of arrows every second.

While every second that passed, the distance between the opponent and Aakesh grew closer. Aakesh still maintained the sa rate of shooting, but this ti he had changed his shooting patterns.

With every shot Aakesh made, he changed his releasing hand. Aakesh was an archer that had gained an equivalent ability in shooting arrows from both hands.

Aakesh wanted to extend the battle as long as possible without the use of any skills/spells. Using the wind and the random change of his releasing hand, deflecting the arrow beca difficult for the opponent.

From the last ti Aakesh had co here, his shooting speed had grown. Even if he slept all the ti, he would still grow stronger quickly than the majority of the people, so even when Aakesh wasn't training these past several days and only in the store, he was still growing stronger.

The opponent's moving speed had slowed down after Aakesh began randomly changing his string releasing hand. Even though he was still quick enough to dodge the arrows, since Aakesh wasn't following a pattern, the arrows ca randomly at him.

If he were defending his heart, an arrow aiming at his foot would co, and similarly, the next mont, the arrow aiming at his head would co.

Ti flew by.

It has been twenty-six seconds since the battle between Aakesh and the opponent had begun, but for the crowd, they felt like they had been watching this battle for years.

Suddenly the aura around the opponent turned chillier as the sword he had been using his right hand was now in his left hand. Aakesh already knew that the opponent was stronger and quicker when he carried the sword in his left hand.

As expected, the random arrows that were giving a little trouble to the opponent disappeared, and his moving speed toward Aakesh increased even quicker than before.

The smile Aakesh had been carrying all along since the battle began turned wider, seeing the opponent only a second away from him. The speed at which he was shooting suddenly grew at a terrifying rate, making the opponent take a step back.

"Let's fight," Aakesh comnted as the smile disappeared from his face and turned expressionless. He had finally beco serious about the battle.

Only Aakesh and the opponent didn't fight, but the aura around them was also fighting to choose who had the coldest aura, which in turn made the crowd watching the battle shudder.

The shooting speed of Aakesh has begun touching the threshold of 1000 arrows per second, while the opponent's hand movents had turned blurry due to quick movents.

Even though the crowd shuddered while watching the battle, excitent could be seen in their eyes as the battle was going on until now purely on the level of skill in their respective field. Neither Aakesh nor the opponent had used any supernatural skill/spell.

Since the opponent was a swordsman, he had an advantage over Aakesh when it ca to the battle. The sword was always faster than a bow, so finally, the opponent was able to reach Aakesh, decimating every arrow that ca in his way.

A swing ca in Aakesh's way as the opponent appeared in front of him.

"Clang!"

"Clang!"

"Clang!"

Continuous sounds of tal clashing rang in the air as Aakesh's bow may not be quicker than the opponent's sword, but Aakesh was quicker than the opponent. For every sword swing that ca Aakesh's way, he shot an arrow.

Now, the situation had turned opposite as earlier, the opponent was stopping his arrows, but now Aakesh was stopping the opponent's sword.

Ti flew by, and a few seconds passed.

Just in the span of around three to four seconds, Aakesh had shot more than thousands of arrows and stopped the opponent's sword from killing him and ending the battle.

Even the opponent, who had a cold expression couldn't help but smile as it was the first ti their battle had been this fun. Here, they both ca out as equal in the clash of skills.

"Clap!"

"Clap!"

"Clap!"

Suddenly, the crowd in the arena stood up and began clapping for both the participants while cheering as loud as possible.. The sound of clapping even overtook the sound of the clashing of the arrowhead and the sword.
