Chapter 252: Kneel

It had only been a few seconds since Xator appeared in the town when he noticed soone coming in his direction.

His jaw almost dropped to the ground, seeing the identity and race of the being in front of him. Even though he himself had the blood of two Primordials flowing in his vein, he and his clan mbers knew they were a failed race.

Even for the Sacred dinsion, they didn't have a high-level bloodline, let alone the third dinsion, where Primordials and the top two races lived. So, seeing one of the top races of the Sacred dinsion ca as a shocker to him.

"Hey, co here."

Xator was in a trance, thinking about the bloodline and dinsions when a gentle yet cold voice broke him out of his thoughts. Even though the language was sothing he had never heard, he had no problem in understanding what the words ant. He then looked up and couldn't help but get dumbfounded.

The Saint Valkyrie who was approaching him a mont earlier had stopped five ters away from him and then called him toward her.

"You're just a few ters-" Xator subconsciously began complaining about her behavior when his voice ca to a sudden halt as a suffocating pressure appeared on him.

"Less talking. Co here," The guard said again, without any change in her tone. It was gentle and cold at the sa ti.

Xator hurriedly nodded and took a step forward to approach her when he suddenly felt the suffocating pressure grow on him, forcing him to kneel.

Even though Xator was laidback and was a failed race, he had the blood of the Primordial Garuda in him. Even the progenitor of Valkyries wouldn't dare to talk loudly to Garuda, so how could his blood, even though it was as minimal as possible could kneel to her.

Xator beca angry, seeing the sudden actions of the Saint Valkyrie in front of him. He thought she was making a fool of him, but the next mont, he found the reason behind her actions as a blue screen appeared in front of him.

[Adventurer, you need to prove your worth!

The Saint Valkyries have always been proud and had looked down on weaklings. The Townhead of Skruor had sensed an arrival of an adventurer in her town, so she had sent her weakest guard to test you.

Without kneeling, reach the guard and prove your ntal strength.

You would gain the ability to manipulate energy if you successfully reached in front of the guard, and if you succeeded in touching her, you would gain an increase in lifeform.]

While Xator read the quest screen, he noticed that the pressure on him had disappeared, but the mont his eyes moved away from the screen, the pressure would reappear and force him to kneel. He then refocused on the screen.

After he read the entire content on the screen, it faded on its own before Xator could prepare for the pressure to co.

Unprepared, the pressure ca. It almost made Xator kneel, but his bloodline affected his will and made him balance his steps.

Even though he had his actual bloodline inside Panagea, he didn't have the power. So it didn't matter what level of bloodline he had when he only had power equivalent to an ordinary mortal.

Xator sohow managed to balance due to the bloodline strengthening his will, but he hadn't expected that the stronger the fight, the stronger would be the pushback.

Even though he stood up after struggling, before he could even raise his legs for the next step, a pressure so vast and threatening appeared on him that he got exploded.

The guard who had released the pressure had no change in expression, seeing Xator getting burst since she knew he would get revived again.

Thirty seconds later, Xator reappeared in the sa place from where the guard Valkyrie had called him. Since he had spent thirty seconds in the waiting area, he had the ti to think and didn't act like soone who didn't know anything.

"Co here."

Xator heard the sa gentle yet cold voice again as the pressure reappeared on him. Since he had prepared himself for it, he didn't get caught unexpectedly as before.

Xator didn't say anything in response to the guard. He glanced at her once and took a step forward.

The guard was only five ters away from him, and Xator had noticed that his single step would be of one ter no matter how long strides he took.

He needed to handle the pressure for only five steps, and he would be able to complete it.

Xator took the first step, and the pressure on him increased two-fold. He tried to take another step, and after a lot of struggle, finally put his foot down, taking the second step when the pressure increased two-fold again, making it four tis the initial pressure.

Xator's body began cracking due to the pressure. He could kneel, and the pressure would disappear since he would've failed the quest, but despite being a laidback guy, he couldn't kneel and sha the bloodline of his progenitors.

Ti flew by, and hours passed.

It had been three hours since Xator entered Panagea. During the past hour, he had already died tens of tis by exploding into smithereens. The number of deaths could've been in hundreds if there wasn't a thirty-second waiting ti for a revival.

It didn't matter how many steps he had reached before exploding. He would always revive and would be five ters away from the guard Valkyrie.

Even though he had died so many tis, it didn't an he hadn't progressed. In the last round, he was able to take four steps and only died while landing for the fifth and last step.

Xator had hopes that his body would get accommodated to the pressure after dying, but every ti he revived, he noticed his body acting the sa to the pressure as the first ti, as if it was facing it for the first ti.

But, he also noticed that his will was getting stronger with each death. If his ntal strength remained the sa, he would've never been able to complete the quest.

"Co here," The guard Valkyrie called Xator for the umpteenth ti and then released a tiny bit of her pressure.

Xator expressionlessly looked at the guard Valkyrie and took a step forward.
