Slash!

Right before her eyes, a prince was beheaded by a group of guards of another prince. What caused Halie to beco angry was the identity of the prince.

That was the sa prince chosen by the Emperor to marry her. Even though she didn't like the prince, no one could change the Emperor's decision, so the marriage was certain.

She wanted to help Aakesh search for others of his race, and it had to do with that. If she left the world, she would lose her connection to the race and would no longer need to marry.

But seeing the prince get beheaded before her eyes gave birth to feelings of anger and guilt, and she imdiately charged in anger. When the group of guards saw her, they ignored her since no one could dare intervene in the fight of the princes.

Halie wasn't a part of any prince's camp or guards, so she could do nothing but accept the death. If she attempted anything, she would beco the enemy of other princes.

Halie didn't care about any protocol and punched the closest guard to her once she reached there.

The guard exploded into a blood cloud imdiately after the impact. Before the other guards could understand things, they were t with the sa fate.

Halie's entire body was covered in the guard's blood. She then bent down and picked up the head of the prince and then the headless corpse. She placed it in her inner world and then wiped the blood off her face.

She didn't stay in the royal palace any longer and left for the tallest mountain in the Empire. Once she reached there, she found a large grave with nurous tombs.

That was the gravel land for the royal family, so Halie brought her future husband's corpse to bury it.

Before the burial, she changed her clothes and then buried the prince. She sat there for a few minutes in silence, and when she stood up, a determined expression was there in her eyes.

She then climbed down the mountain on her legs as a show of respect to the dead royal mbers and took flight imdiately after reaching the leg.

Her destination was the royal palace, but she suddenly turned midway toward the area where she had left Aakesh.

When she reached there, she found Aakesh ditating on the ground. Her flying sound woke Aakesh up, so he opened his eyes and looked in the air.

There was an aura of blood around Halie, showing that she had killed so people recently.

"Do you want to be my general?" Halie imdiately asked after landing on the ground.

Aakesh didn't imdiately answer but looked at the entry point and then Halie. 'It must be the challenge of this building,' he thought in his heart and then nodded, accepting Halie's request.

A cruel grin spread across Halie's face since getting Aakesh took her one step closer to her goal. She no longer wanted to remain a general or beco soone's wife at the order of the Emperor. She now wanted that top seat for herself, and Aakesh's strength would be a big help to her.

"Attack with your strongest move," Halie stated, wanting to see Aakesh's limit.

Aakesh nodded and then released [Apocalyptic Blast] at his full power.

BOOM!

A loud explosion rang in the area, causing a small earthquake to erupt, and Halie was in the middle of all of it. Once the cloud of dust and smoke subsided, she appeared unscathed.

There was a weird grin spread across her face since Aakesh perford better than her estimation. His attack failed to cause any damage to her, but it had more than enough destruction to kill an interdiate True God instantly.

***

Aakesh descended to the ground after Halie and looked at the scene before him. There was no change in his expression since he had seen countless more brutal and gory scenes compared to that small scene of death.

A few monts later, a group of soldiers suddenly appeared and surrounded the two of them.

"How dare you betray the Empire for a nobody?" A cold voice rang in Halie's ears as a man covered in blood slowly walked to her.

Halie's eyes turned cold when she saw the man since it was the sa prince whose guards killed her future husband.

"Kill him and throw him out of the palace. As for her, don't harm her body, I want to taste the fruit reserved for my dead younger brother." An evil grin spread across the prince's face as he gave the order.

"Can you handle these soldiers on your own, or do you need my help?" Halie ignored the prince and asked Aakesh.

Aakesh didn't reply with words but with the weapon, and he shot one arrow after another, turning an early level True God into a porcupine in less than a mont.

Halie nodded when she saw the quick defeat and then returned her focus to the prince. The prince was one sub-level lower than her, so there was no chance for him to defeat her unless he had so heaven-defying item.

The prince wasn't a threat, but the man next to him was the source of danger. It was a peak Lesser God level cultivator, one sub-level above Halie's late Lesser God level cultivation.

***

Aakesh relished in challenging battles, and he showed his superiority over the Neuislys. He killed three early True Gods so quickly that fear crept into the souls of other soldiers.

No one dared to fight Aakesh alone but tried to bombard him with multiple skills.

Crack!

A cracking sound rang as the bow in Aakesh's hand was unable to handle his superior archery skills and shooting rate.

Boom!

After another shot, it finally gave in and exploded into dust. The soldier's eyes shone when they saw an opportunity, but before they could celebrate, a pitch-black light appeared on the tip of all ten of his fingers.
