?Chapter 1481: Huo Jinglin(3)

Huo Jinglin felt a suffocating pressure enveloping him as the black hue grew in intensity.

A few seconds later, a small blood pool had ford below the bed in a pitch-black color. At that mont, the intensity seed to have reached its peak.

Huo Jinglin heard eerie sounds ringing in his ears and found the source all around him. Imdiately after, the blood began to burn, and in no ti, a cluster of black gas had ford.

Huo Jinglin was the destination of the gas as it slowly seeped into his body through his mouth. He wanted to struggle, but anything he tried was of no avail, and in less than a second, he had inhaled every bit of the gas.

Huo Jinglin felt maggots crawling inside his body while the world around him began to rotate as if he had taken so hallucinogenic drug. He found staying awake to be a challenging task as his eyelids turned heavy. His senses also stopped working.

Huo Jinglin didn't want to close his eyes to restrict his visibility, but his struggle resulted in no change, and he soon fell unconscious.

Imdiately after, his body floated midair. His hair grew at a crazy rate, and in no ti, it had grown bigger than him. It still kept growing, and soon after, it ford a cocoon around Huo Jinglin.

Rapid changes were happening outside and inside Huo Jinglin's body inside the cocoon. His skin was slowly turning darker, in the sa shade as the blood pool.

The King grade armor he had worn over his body had already disintegrated, leaving him naked. Incomprehensible devilish patterns began to erge on his chest, and at the sa ti, his life level was growing.

Huo Jinglin was still a peak Supre God, but at that ti, his life level seed to be even more terrifying than that of a Sacred Creator.

After a long ti, the process finally stopped. The cocoon ford of hair turned into a ball of gas, and then it seeped into Huo Jinglin.

Exhale!

Huo Jinglin opened his eyes with a shocking exhale, coughing up blood. He couldn't help but frown when he saw the changes in himself and his surroundings.

Huo Jinglin had a solemn expression and imdiately went to his sea of consciousness. His mouth widened in shock as he found that it was completely different from what it should have been.

At that mont, the sea of consciousness looked more like a small world—and it was a dead world. There was a rotten tree with several branches in the center of the area, and each branch had a black fruit.

When Huo Jinglin counted the number of branches, he found it to be similar to the number of sacrifices and the statue. He walked to the tree and was astonished to find that each fruit had a distinct shape and appearance.

From what Huo Jinglin could gather, the fruits looked like sacrifices, but since they were covered, Huo Jinglin didn't know their appearance.

Before Huo Jinglin could touch the tree or fruit, the tree suddenly moved, and imdiately after, the closest fruit to him fell into his hands.

Huo Jinglin solemnly looked at the fruit and then at the tree. It wasn't a complex skill, so Huo Jinglin could easily understand what the tree wanted from him.

Not having any idea of what had happened to him, Huo Jinglin didn't want to add another situation, but as he grabbed the fruit, a hunger rose in his heart.

Huo Jinglin wanted to fight against it, but the intensity grew to such a height that he had no choice but to bite into the fruit. He didn't find eating the fruit repulsive, but what was making him hesitate were the consequences.

As he took the bite, the fruit beca liquid and seeped into his mouth. The next mont, a comfortable feeling like never before erged in his heart as a wave of energy rushed through his body.

At that mont, Huo Jinglin felt his strength increasing at the rate that was visible to him. In only a few monts, he had grown taller by several feet. At the sa ti, his body mass had shrunk, further tightening his muscles. The pattern between his eyebrows had grown in intensity.

He couldn't help but look at the changes with shock. His mind couldn't comprehend what was happening to him.

Huo Jinglin imdiately left his sea of consciousness and returned to the room. As he looked around, he found that the statues were no longer there. Huo Jinglin would have felt he was in a different location if not for the corpses on the ground.

Suddenly, courage rose, and he decided to look through the hooded figure. He had no idea why that thought rose, but unable to control himself, he walked down the bed and then to the closest corpse.

A mont later, Huo Jinglin had seen through the covers of all the corpses, and as he had expected, the fruit looked like them. In addition to that, when Huo Jinglin went to the sacrifice whose lookalike fruit he had eaten, the two pieces of their body had turned to ashes.

It seed the fruit of his sea of consciousness affected the physical world as well. Huo Jinglin had no idea of what had happened, so he ignored the corpses and walked toward the door.

His heart was beating loudly in excitent as if sothing much more desirable was waiting for him there.

Huo Jinglin forcefully stopped his steps when he was only a few steps away from the exit, as it wasn't like him to take such risks after what had transpired to him. But soon after, he stopped hesitating and exited the room.

Exhale!

Huo Jinglin exhaled and inhaled a large breath of air as he saw the clear blue sky and the fresh air filled with rich elents. It was as if it had been a long ti since he felt such fresh air.
