Chapter 144: Winner(1)
Only ten out of four hundred and righty participants remained on the tower, fighting for the top position.
Out of the 10, four people were fighting with their equivalent level opponent, while the other six were fighting with opponents below their actual cultivation level.
Shalia was fighting against her opponent on the forty-second floor(interdiate Heavenly Monarch). Her opponent was also a Moonlight Elf like her, but it was a male Elf and way more talented than her.
Though she used the sword, she failed to land a single strike on her opponent, while her opponent had already caused nurous injuries to her.
Even though she was one grade superior to the opponent, she wasn't able to push him even once and get on the top of the battle.
Ti flew by, and three minutes passed. Shalia wasn't able to defeat her opponent, but since she was able to survive the battle and not get disqualified, a blue light engulfed her the next mont.
When the blue light disappeared, she found herself devoid of any injuries, and she was demoted by one floor, so she was currently on the forty-first floor.
Considering the environnt was the sa as the last ti, she thought she would encounter the sa opponent again, but when she took her 108th step, her face turned pale from fright.
It wasn't the human opponent she had fought before. Instead, it was the race that stood at the top of the Primal dinsion, Hygar.
The Hygar was the race descended from two Primordial creatures, Garuda and Hydra.
Hydra was a Primordial snake with nine heads, while Garuda was the progenitor of all the flying bird's species of the Multiverse with the Phoenix as their mother.
No one knows how a species like Hygar ca into the Primal dinsion, but the mont they set foot in this dinsion, they beca the strongest beings.
Even though Hydra had nine heads, Hygar didn't have that much. They had six heads, with each head corresponding to a different elent. From the mont they took birth, they learned the mastery of those elents. They were Fire, Earth, Water, Air, Poison, and Illusion. Since half of their genes were from the Primordial Garuda, they also had a pair of wings. Those pair of wings made them faster than any species in the air.
Shalia couldn't help but shake her head disappointedly, seeing the Hygar as her opponent.
She had no choice but to fight, so she took out her sword.
The mont she took out her sword, the Hygar disappeared from where it was resting, and the next mont, Shalia found herself turning blue.
A surprised and fearful expression appeared on her face as she looked up at the Hygar and found it sitting in its place with closed eyes. She couldn't do anything anymore, as the next mont, she lted into a pool of blue liquid.
The next mont, she appeared on the platform. She heaved a sigh of relief, seeing herself alive and without any injury. She then found her daughter looking at her with a look of pity behind her mask.
A wry smile appeared on her face seeing her daughter.
"Bad luck!" The next mont, her daughter's voice rang inside her head.
"Yeah, I never expected the store owner to add races like Hygar," She nodded, and her voice rang inside Lenna's head.
She then focused on the screen her husband was fighting on. He was currently on the forty-third floor and was fighting against a human opponent.
He was also at a disadvantage against his opponent and didn't look like he would win it. As expected, a few monts later, the opponent severed Ivanar's head. The next mont, he also appeared on the platform.
Only six participants remained fighting in the tower. Evelyn was fighting on the forty-third floor with an Elf opponent. George was also on the sa floor, but his opponent was a wyrm. Elasha was on the forty-fourth floor, the topmost floor. Her opponent was a daitya, a complete Maharathi on the verge of ascendance.
Of the other three, two participants were fighting against the opponent having the sa cultivation level as them, while the third participant was fighting against an opponent, one grade lower than him.
Ti flew by. George turned out to be unlucky as the wyrm killed him right before the three-minute mark. If he was able to stay alive for a few monts more, he would've gotten demoted by one floor and may have gotten opponents of other races.
Evelyn also lost against the ELf opponent on the forty-third floor, so she appeared on the platform.
Elasha was able to challenge her opponent for so ti, but as the battle proceeded, the opponent turned out to be the stronger, so she also lost the fight. She couldn't help but shake her head in disappointnt after being disqualified. But her eyes shifted to determination the next second, and she decided to postpone her ascension to the Sacred dinsion until she didn't beco the strongest Immortal.
She would only go for the breakthrough when she is truly the strongest Immortal of the Primal dinsion.
There were only three participants left now out of the 480 that participated in the event. They were Brinda, who was fighting against her peak Nascent soul opponent for the third ti. Timothy was fighting against his Late Soul Formation opponent for the third ti. Randal was fighting against the interdiate Void Forging opponent for the third ti.
A few monts later, Timothy wasn't able to defeat his opponent in the required ti limit of three minutes. Since it was the third ti he couldn't defeat his opponent, he got disqualified, and the next mont, he appeared on the platform.
Randal, the king of the Blue Wyrm Kingdom, a neighboring kingdom to the Bisan Kingdom, successfully defeated the opponent who was one grade below him. He then proceeded to the next floor, the next mont, and he would now confront the late Void Forging opponent.
Everyone in the crowd who lived in the Bisan Kingdom was cheering for Brinda since she belonged to the royal family. It was the third ti she was facing an opponent with the sa cultivation level as her. The prayers of the citizens of her Kingdom worked, and her opponent turned out to be an Orc.
She successfully defeated her opponent by using the enlightennt she had gained yesterday after the battle against George.
