Chapter 1394: eting!
"Where am I?" Aakesh mumbled after suddenly finding himself in a dark place when he ntally touched upon the newly added mory.
He tried to look around, but nothing except darkness welcod him. Aakesh stopped trying and waited. There must be a reason that he was there, so there was no point in wasting ti.
After what seed like a long but brief period of ti, tiny but precise rays of light started to pierce the darkness, as Aakesh had anticipated; in no ti, the dark had disappeared in its totality, and Aakesh found himself standing on a small island in the middle of an endless water body.
Even though the island was smaller than a dust particle, when compared to the vastness of the water, it was nonetheless a large body. Aakesh couldn't see the end of the island from where he stood, so he decided to walk forward since he had a feeling that sothing was waiting for him at that end.
No sense of ti or space existed there, so Aakesh had no idea how long he was walking or how much distance he had covered in his travels.
After an unknown amount of ti had passed, Aakesh finally reached the end of the island. Nothing was there. If he took an additional step, he would be entering the waters, but he stopped himself from doing that.
Looking at the water, Aakesh could feel chills crawling down his spine. He understood that nothing great would co out if he tried to enter the water.
Despite not seeing anything there, Aakesh simply stood there like a statue. Aakesh trusted his instinct, so he kept waiting there.
Ti flew by, and an unknown amount of ti passed.
Since there was no concept of ti, the mont was short and long for Aakesh at the sa ti.
Rumble! Rumble! Rumble!
Suddenly, a rumbling sound rang as the entire island began shaking. Cracks began to erge on the ground, and the island started sinking. But at the position where Aakesh stood, not even a drop of water or any damage from the intense shaking reached it.
The shaking intensity kept growing, and in reference to that, the island's sinking speed also increased. But as in the earlier situation, Aakesh remained fine despite all the trouble.
After an unknown amount of ti, the only piece of land left on the endless water body was the land where he was standing. Even if Aakesh moved an inch, he would touch the water; such was the gap.
Aakesh had an expressionless face as usual since the mont he had been waiting for hadn't arrived.
Aakesh was waiting when his expression suddenly changed, and he turned to his left. The next mont, his face turned pale, as if drained of all his blood.
Around an unknown distance away from him, a wave of unknown size had ford and was slowly descending.
Even soone like Aakesh felt dread emanating from it. He was confident that if the wave touched him, he would be dead.
But despite that, Aakesh didn't make any movent and stood at his position like a statue while the wave kept descending. Finally, after an unknown ti, the wave fell and hit the water.
What was surprising was that the maximum range the wave could reach and cause damage was at the exact spot where the land began. Similar to the last situation, Aakesh remained out of harm without even doing anything.
"How long are you going to test ?" Aakesh suddenly comnted. His words had never been chillier than that mont.
Aakesh had no idea where the person was, so he didn't have a fixed direction to look at. He instead looked all around him while calling out to the person.
When Aakesh called out, he didn't expect to get an answer since the other party was clearly stronger than him. He was inside a mory and a sentient mory at that. If the said person could be so overwhelmingly powerful in mory, he didn't even dare imagine how powerful the person would be in reality.
"Just these two tests forced you to call out." Unexpectedly, a response ca from the owner.
Aakesh felt a chill seeping into his bones since he could clearly hear the anger in the owner's voice. It was as if Aakesh had imnsely disappointed the person.
The next mont, cracks began to appear in the space as an intense, horrendous pressure erged in the area. Aakesh could sense familiarity from the pressure, but despite that, he was forced to look down.
Aakesh's blood revolted against the pressure, but for the first ti, his bloodline revolt was crushed like an Immortal crushing a mortal. Aakesh had no choice but to look down since even death was no longer in his control.
As the space kept cracking, the space shards joined together to form a blurry figure. As the formation was complete, the pressure on Aakesh disappeared, and he could finally look up at the figure.
As was his sensation with the bloodline projection, the sa was his feeling toward the figure in the sky, but no matter what he tried, the figure remained blurry.
"Am I going to see another disappointnt?" The blurry figure comnted. It wasn't certain whether the figure was asking Aakesh or themselves, but when Aakesh heard the words, a painful expression spread across his face.
Seeing Aakesh in pain, the figure in the sky sighed, and the pain attacking Aakesh disappeared.
The blurry figure then snapped their fingers, and the next mont, the ti and space changed.
Aakesh found himself back in a familiar place with gigantic beings sitting on their seats, looking down on him. Aakesh couldn't see anything but blur, but he could clearly feel that those beings had questioning looks on their faces.
"Oh, you seem to be better than your past life." A chuckle suddenly rang in Aakesh's ears.
Aakesh tried to look at the being who said it but could see nothing but blur and an endless golden halo around the being.
As for talks about his past life, it didn't affect him much since Aakesh had been aware of that fact for years now.
"Will we see another disappointnt, or will we finally get an answer this ti?"
Another being comnted, but the question wasn't directed at Aakesh but at the other beings in the room.
Aakesh couldn't see their figures, but he could clearly feel the change in their expression after the question.
"What is this disappointnt that you talk about?" Aakesh wasn't so coward, so he directly asked the person who had asked the question.
"You are too young and weak to know your truth." The being who had chuckled earlier responded instead of the being who had asked the question.
Other figures in the room seed to agree with the response, so they also nodded their heads in response.
"We are all waiting for you. Don't disappoint us this ti."
Another being spoke and snapped their fingers. The next mont, the space and ti changed, and Aakesh found himself back on the island.
The island had returned to its previous situation without any cracks, while there was also another figure there waiting for him.
It was the sa blurry figure, but Aakesh no longer felt any anger from them.
"Co and sit," The blurry figure called.
The next mont, Aakesh's body moved on its own, and he sat down on a chair. Following that, Aakesh exclaid in surprise since the chair he sat on was his chair in the store.
It wasn't a similar material, but the exact chair. Aakesh recognized it since it had begun to have an aura of him after he had been sitting on it for tens of thousands of years.
The blurry figure ignored Aakesh's surprise and simply sat there silently. Aakesh had to beco the initiator of the conversation, and he asked, "How much can you tell about my past?"
"You need to grow your authority by two more levels to know one thing about your past. You need to reach the ultimate level of authority to know your race." The blurry figure responded.
"Two more levels just to know one thing about my past?" Aakesh couldn't help but repeat the sentence since it was clearly outrageous.
Aakesh understood that just by doing two store upgrade quests, he couldn't get enough authority to know anything about his past, but to complete four things just to know one thing was certainly excessive, and Aakesh didn't like it.
"Yes, but you have gained enough authority to know one thing about the system." The blurry figure added, not caring about Aakesh's reaction at all.
It was as if Aakesh was getting treated the sa way he treated others. If not for certain differences in the aura between the two, Aakesh would have believed that the blurry figure was none other than himself of the past.
