Resisting the intense pressure emanating from the creature, Laney raised her head and looked above, capturing the sight of the creature.
It was a humanoid creature that was several ters tall. It had hairs all over its body, while its three eyes, with a combination of black sclera and dark red pupils, stared at her with nothing but brutality.
Laney got ready to defend herself, but the sudden change in the circumstances caught her off guard. The creature's red pupils turned white, and the pressure it had been releasing vanished. Sanity seed to have returned as the creature disappeared from the scene, and with it, her and Hanswan's last opponent had also disappeared.
Sheis, who was watching the scene from afar, was also surprised by the way the situation had played out. Since he had been the King for thousands of years, he knew about the powerful creatures living at the peak of the mountain.
He recognized the hairy creature that had suddenly appeared in the sky. It was the ruler of the peak and would descend from ti to ti. Whenever it would descend, the Kingdom would see a large number of deaths.
But surprisingly, the creature appeared and left without killing anyone. Sheis couldn't help but take a severe glance at the woman.

Laney exclaid loudly in surprise after finding out that the hairy creature was the ruler of the peak. Since Sheis was also curious to know what caused the scene to play out like that, he didn't hide the truth about the hairy creature.
After the surprise of the situation dimd down, Sheis finally focused on Laney and asked her reasons for being in the city and what happened with his son.
"Why don't you ask your son about it yourself?" Laney replied. All her worst fears hadn't co true during the battle with the beast, so she no longer had to worry about Sheis and his counterattacks.
At the sa ti, Laney's mood didn't seem good due to what transpired with the hairy creature. She wanted to end the battle as soon as possible and then look for Aakesh to find so answers.

"Why don't you ask your son about it yourself?"
The response rang like a thunderbolt in Sheis's head, making him imdiately pull away. Since he had erged here, he had been feeling an ominous premonition.
Laney's response seed to prove that, and without waiting for anything, he imdiately flew away. Sheis wasn't a coward but an imnsely cautious figure.
He didn't treat Laney with contempt just because her cultivation was low. The situation that had played out made him take her seriously and no longer think of her as just an early True God. The ominous premonition further added to the caution in his heart.
He wanted to be fully assured of his protection, so he imdiately returned to the protection array around the royal palace.

Laney looked at the scene with a calm expression since she was aware of the extrely cautious personality of the King. Since she ca to attack despite knowing that, it ant she was not afraid of the situation at all.
She followed the direction in which Sheis had flown and soon stopped above the garden of the royal palace. A visible energy barrier greeted her sight when she looked down.
Sheis was standing in the middle of the energy barrier. His eyes were raining fire as they looked at Laney. He not only lost his son, but he also had to return to protection to fight against her. It was humiliating, but for Sheis, his life was worth more than his pride. To solve the anger in his heart, he could only vent it on Laney once he had defeated her.
Rumble!
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
The next mont, a rumbling sound rang in the area as the ground shook from the march of the Kingdom's army. At the sa ti, there were tens of thousands of arrows raining down on Laney.
Laney didn't take the army or the arrows seriously since the power difference between a True God level cultivator and cultivation levels below that couldn't be equaled with quantity or weapons.
Laney wanted to shed as little blood as possible before conquering the territory, so she didn't use her attacks to repel the army. She simply released her pressure to an intensity where every being below her level was forced to beco unconscious. Sheis couldn't help but frown when he saw Laney not killing the people on the ground since the more deaths, the more negative energy he would accumulate. Still, since Laney killed several peak Divine Lords, the negative energy was only slightly below the desirable level.
The next mont, a puppet appeared next to Sheis. The negative energy accumulated from the killing imdiately rushed to the puppet as if it were so treat.
Sheis felt slightly heartbroken when he saw the scene since the puppet was an extrely expensive item. Considering the toil Sheis had to go through to own the puppet, the anger toward Laney surged even higher, which seed impossible before.
The puppet, which was gray before, turned black while a terrifying aura started to develop around it.
Laney felt palpitations in her heart when she saw the puppet. She prepared to attack but before she could, she felt the world around her turning dark.
The next mont, light returned to her eyes, and she found herself standing in what seed to be a gory hell.
There were mutilated corpses strewn all across the area, while pools of fresh blood were here and there.
Laney only scoffed when she saw the scene, and soon after, she found herself back in the garden.
At that ti, the puppet had been released from the protective shield and charged at Laney.
Laney imdiately manipulated gravity around her, slowing the puppet down. The puppet slightly slowed down, but as if adapting to the change in gravity, its speed soon reached normal.
The window where the puppet slowed was more than enough for Laney, and she released a powerful attack.
The next mont, Laney's jaws dropped in shock as she looked at the scene in front of her.
She couldn't help but rub her eyes to accept what she had seen. The attack released by her hit the puppet and even caused severe damage.
But similar to the last ti, the puppet adapted to the attack and instead of damaging the puppet, enhanced its abilities.
"As long as you are an early True God, you can't defeat the puppet," Sheis suddenly comnted. His tone was chilly enough to freeze the air.
Laney certainly didn't believe Sheis, but soon she had to co to terms with what he had said.
No matter what type of attack Laney used, the puppet would be damaged for a mont, but it would then adapt to the attack and use it to enhance itself.
The only saving grace for Laney was that it was unable to use Laney's attacks to attack her back.
Laney was slowly growing frustrated and used her ultimate attack. The next mont, the puppet disintegrated completely.
But before Laney could focus on her actual opponent, she found that the puppet reappeared out of nowhere.
"I told you, as long as you are an early True God, you will never be able to beat it," Sheis comnted, seeing the futile struggle put on by Laney.
Laney disregarded what Sheis said since she noticed sothing after the re-ergence of the puppet despite getting destroyed.
The negative aura around the puppet had dimd in intensity. To test that theory, Laney used the attack once again.
As she had expected, the negative aura around the puppet was dimming with every destruction.
Sheis would never have thought that Laney was extrely sensitive to negative auras due to her experience in Panagea.
The only worrying issue for Laney was energy, but she had splurged a lot over the past year, so she had a lot of energy replenishnt pills from the store. Repeated bombardnts of her ultimate skill finally resulted in the decimation of the puppet.
After the puppet no longer erged, Laney noticed that it took the sa number of destruction as the number of beings she had killed in the army.
