Chapter 1352: Second Store Upgrade Quest(20)
Laney tried to ask many people about the city, but everyone treated her with disdain. Her eyes had almost beco teary since that was the first ti she had been treated like that.
Even a battle where there was a ninety-nine percent chance of her death seed like a better option to her compared to what she was going through at that mont.
But since she didn't know how to leave the city, she needed to bear with the situation.
Ti flew by, and after crossing another of the many streets, she suddenly ca face to face with the boy again.
Laney suddenly stopped and cautiously looked at the boy. Since the boy had put a tracking mark on her, he certainly had no good intentions.
The others present froze as well and gawked enthusiastically at the scene in front of them.
The boy suddenly raised his right foot forward and approached Laney. That step felt like soone was stepping on her heart, making Laney extrely uncomfortable.
The boy ignored Laney's expression of discomfort and kept walking. He only stopped a step away from Laney.
The boy then raised his hand, and a dark glow appeared around it. Laney wanted to back away but found that the space around her had frozen, and she could no longer move.
The boy suddenly floated up, stopping at the sa height as her. He then made a slapping gesture using the hand covered in glow.
Laney couldn't let herself be slapped like that, as that was a humiliation she wasn't able to bear. She tried to force herself to move backward, but the harder she tried, the tougher it beca for her to move.
She could feel the hand as it was about to hit her cheeks. She closed her eyes, filled with anger, but the feeling of getting slapped never ca.
She cautiously opened her eyes and found the boy smiling at her. The next mont, the boy raised his hand and patted her head.
Before Laney could comprehend what was going on, her hand suddenly began to burn. It was the pattern.
Boom!
The next mont, the sound of an explosion rang, and Laney grunted in pain as her hand exploded.
"Haha, he did it again!"
"The girl will never dare to look that way at anyone else from now on."
Laney suddenly heard bursts of laughter ringing in his ears, and the pain had also disappeared.
Laney focused on her hand and found that it was without any injury, and the pattern had also disappeared.
When she looked up, she found a cloud above her, and it was in the shape of a clown.
It didn't take long for her to understand the situation after seeing the scene and hearing so of the conversations between the people there.
The boy was still floating at her height and looking at her with a smile.
"Sorry for my rudeness." Laney imdiately apologized to the boy.
The boy didn't say anything and turned around to leave when he suddenly froze as a voice rang in his head.
"You didn't do the welco."
The owner of the voice was familiar, and it was none other than the bird.
The boy stopped and turned again, facing Laney.
Since Laney didn't hear the bird's voice, she didn't know why the boy turned. She was already surprised by the situation.
She didn't want to see herself getting into a sudden showdown with the boy, so she decided to greet him.
But before she could, she felt an invisible force of repulsion acting on her while a light appeared around her.
The next mont, she was completely shrouded in a burst of light. The light disappeared as quickly as it had appeared, and with it, Laney had also left Panagea.
The eyes of the boy and the people in the area suddenly froze, but imdiately after, they returned to calm and dispersed.

The next mont, Laney found herself in the portal room, standing in front of the virtual portal.
Laney had seen too much that day, so she took a deep breath to calm her pounding heart.
She then summoned the exchange window and looked for Destrun. Since she hadn't exchanged Destrun for money inside Panagea, she could only pay a large amount of money to bring Destrun out in reality.
If Laney were to profit, she would have thought of exchanging Destrun by paying Sacred stones, but the price was clearly higher than the price at which it was sold in the Sacred Dinsion.
Laney was relieved to find out that Destrun was there without any change in its quantity. She then waved her hands, and the exchange window disappeared, waiting for her to call it back another ti.
Laney then turned around and walked out of the room. She had the thought of discussing what she went through that day with Aakesh, but she decided against it after so consideration. Aakesh had done more than enough for her in Panagea.
After walking out of the room, she noticed that there was a small line of custors in front of Aakesh. She had her training for the day left, so she turned right and walked toward the weapons room.
Since she already had a Higher Store Card, she didn't need to talk to Aakesh to enter the training area below the Gods & Demons level of difficulty. Laney's target for the day was Immortal level, so she could directly pay from the card.
After walking inside the room, Laney was greeted with the familiar sight of nurous murals. She glanced at the ones related to knives and then walked in the direction of the pillar.
After reaching the pillar, Laney repeated the process she had long grown familiar with. The next mont, a golden, transparent barrier shrouded her to protect her while her eyes dimd since her consciousness had left her body and entered the infinite space inside the training area.
After entering, Laney chose a random race and random environnt, and soon her training with the knife began. Ti flew by, and hours passed in the blink of an eye.
Since the ti flow inside the training area was faster, only an hour had passed in the store when Laney was forced out of the training area.
