Chapter 1234: Akonos(2)
Stacy looked at the beast card. On the card's top half was an illustration of the beast.
It was Stacy's first ti seeing that beast, and she felt nothing but awe when she looked at it.
The Akonos looked awe-inspiring, to say the least. It had a humanoid physique, and it stood at an enormous height. Its white body was covered in shining armor, engraved with intricate patterns that resembled the stars in the sky. Its head was significantly larger than it should have been for soone of that height. Its piercing blue eyes glowed with an otherworldly radiance. A majestic crown-like structure made of white bones with an ethereal hue around it adorned its forehead.
From what Stacy could tell after looking at the beast, it looked more like a powerful demon than a beast. But since it had appeared from the Beast Summoner Device, it was a beast.
The Akonos had appeared in the Sacred Dinsion long after Stacy's disappearance, so she had never seen the beast.
The Akonos were the strongest beast race as well as the second-strongest race in the Sacred Dinsion. These beasts' mastery over the supre elents of space and ti strengthened their positions at the top of the table.
The only reason the Akonos weren't the strongest race in the Sacred Dinsion had to do with their lack of numbers. There were only seven of them in existence, and all seven of them were Sacred Creators. To be more accurate, there was only one family of Akonos beasts; one Akonos male, the patriarch, two wives, and four children. The Akonos patriarch prohibited incest, so there was never an eighth Akonos.
As for reproducing with another race, they had tried and even succeeded in impregnation, but the fetus never survived, failing their attempts.
The Akonos had suddenly appeared in the Sacred Dinsion, and since their appearance, they have been part of the top rung of races, never falling below the fifth position. And for the past several trillion years, they have been the second-strongest race.
Stacy decided to ask Aakesh about the beast, but before that, she focused on the skills.
[Cosmic Union] surprised Stacy since it allowed the owner to use every skill the Akonos had, and even the weakest skills related to space and ti were better than most of the elents. There was also the side effect of linking lifeforce, but that was a risk not worth considering when the benefits were imnse.
Stacy then read the following skills and finally reached the last skill. She couldn't help but raise her eyes in surprise when she saw [Akonos Blast]. Having a skill nad after itself showed the power of the beast, and the ability was just as dangerous. For Stacy, that was the most destructive skill she had co across.
Since there was nothing else left to see and she also liked the beast, Stacy decided to buy it. Aakesh had already told her that summoning the beast was only the first step. The second step was the most significant, and it ultimately determined ownership.
After reading the details on the screen, Stacy wasn't very confident about defeating it and winning over the beast. But since there was no second way, she took a deep breath and joined the line.
There was a line of ten-plus custors already waiting there, but since the battle was instantly over for the other custors, it didn't take long before it was Stacy's turn.
Stacy stood in front of the square device. She then looked at the beast on the card and then at herself.
Sigh!
Stacy wanted the beast, so she took a deep breath, placed the card in the card compartnt, and put her hand on the respective section.
The next mont, a prickling pain attacked her. It was the sa as what had appeared before entering the training area. Despite already experienced it once, Stacy still felt an unbearable feeling.
The pain disappeared as quickly as it had arrived, while Stacy also found herself in a different environnt.
As Stacy looked around, she found herself standing deep in the void, with small trinkets of light above her. Stacy felt the surroundings familiar, as the concentration of elents here was the sa as what she faced in the space-ti storm.
Even though things happened instantly, Stacy still found herself in the middle of the space-ti storm. Being there had mutated her blood, taking it closer to the elents of space and ti. Since it would take ti for her physique and bloodline to fully adjust to the mutation, Stacy wasn't that comfortable in the environnt, but she was still several tis better than she would have been without the influence of the storm.
An ethereal mist began to form in front of her, taking her attention. Stacy felt wondrous looking at the scene, but soon after, that wonderful feeling turned into a terror that erged deep in her heart.
Not long after, the mist fully condensed, forming the silhouette of the beast she had seen on the card's illustration.
***
ROAR!
The Akonos let out an angry roar as it opened its mouth. The next mont, an elental storm erupted all around the area as the temporal and spatial energies began to condense. It soon took the shape of a ball, with the other half being white, while the second half was blue.
The energy ball only kept growing larger and larger. In no ti, it had reached the sa size as tens of Stacy.
Stacy had lost her left shoulder, and there was a deep gash in her chest, showing her pulsing heart. As she looked at the scene, she could sense her death approaching.
Stacy couldn't give up on the battle, so she decided to use an attack she hadn't used in years. It was an attacking skill Aakesh had given her, but once she forgot everything about Aakesh, the sa happened with the skill and its knowledge.
After seeing and talking about Aakesh, the mory returned, and similar was the case with the skill's knowledge. Even though Stacy wasn't sure whether her body would be able to handle the power or even be able to activate it since she was in terrible condition, she had no other option but to try to use it.
