Aakesh heard the alerts ringing in his head as the 150th sale for the cultivation art was complete. With that, the second quest was complete.

Aakesh was relaxing on his chair when he heard the sound of footsteps coming from outside the store. He opened his eyes and turned in that direction, finding an unfamiliar face approaching the store.

Xynal belonged to the race Fretari. It was a non-demon race, falling only one step short of becoming a top-tier race in the Sacred Dinsion. Its current ruler was the peak Sacred Monarch, and once he stepped onto the Sacred Creator level, Fretaris would also beco one of the top races of the dinsion.
The Fretaris were a humanoid race with heights varying from five feet to several hundred feet. They were bulky in appearance, with two pairs of hands. Their skin was a mix of gray and gold; their eyes were white with black pupils, and their hair was black.
Fretaris were average-looking creatures, but Xylan clearly stood out in the group, as his presence alone warranted the attention of many female Vurrons on the street. A sly grin spread across Xylan's face as he waved his hands toward the girls, clearly liking their attention.
"Why don't you et when I co out?" Xylan's eyes lit up as he found a girl he liked in the group, so he went toward her and whispered in her ears.
The girl's face turned hot being in such proximity to Xylan, but at that mont, a broad hand patted her back, resulting in all her fantasies disappearing just like that.
The girl covered her face and imdiately ran back to the store, while her father glared at Xylan.
Xylan ignored the glaring father and left with a smile on his face. He finally reached the store's stairs.
The people on the street also began to return to their work as the scene of seeing strange creatures wasn't a rare oddity anymore.

"Hello, store owner," Xylan addressed Aakesh with a gentle bow.
Aakesh nodded in response to the man's greeting and waited for him to ask the question about the store's products.
"Store owner, I am Xylan, and Garian is my teacher," Xylan introduced himself.
"I am Aakesh," Aakesh replied in his usual response to a custor's introduction. He rembered Garian. He was a regular custor at the store for the past few months, and his cultivation also wasn't low.
"Store owner, I want to buy the beasts," Xylan requested Aakesh since he had co here for the beast.
It was a mission from Garian for him to find a beast. He didn't know why Garian wanted that, but since Garian and his father were best friends, and Garian would never want the bad for Xylan, he didn't ask any questions and imdiately left for the store according to the direction given by his teacher.

Aakesh nodded and then introduced the Beast Summoner Device to him, with so most-asked answers.
Xylan, who was only here to finish the mission given to him by Garian, beca stumped by what he heard from the store owner.

Xylan stood in front of the pillar after taking his ti looking over the beast's murals painted on the room's walls. His eyes shone with excitent when he pressed the button, beginning the summoning round.
The square light began to rotate, and soon, its rotation speed surpassed the cognition of Xylan. Soon, five seconds passed, and miraculously, the rotation slowly ca to a halt, with a beast appearing on the screen.
Xylan recognized the beast, and not long after, a card containing its details erged out of nowhere and flew into his hands. Even though Xylan decided not to go ahead with the beast, he still read the content on the card.
After reading the details there was no change in his heart, he went to the return compartnt and placed the card there. He then returned to the screen and pressed the button.
Ti flew by, and several minutes passed in the blink of an eye.
If it were before, Xylan would have left the store with the first beast he summoned, but after learning about the product from the store owner, he decided to go for the best one. Money wasn't an issue at all, as he ca from a family of Sacred Emperors. It wasn't the ruling family, but still having a Sacred Emperor at the helm made them one of the top families of the race.

While Xylan was going through the summoning in the store, in a part of the Sacred Dinsion, a battle was going on.
"Hehe, where will you run now?" The man called out with a cruel grin, looking at the female escaping for her life.
The female was none other than Maria, who had been searching for ways to travel to the store for the past year. Her eyes showed despair as she ran for her life.
She didn't want to die, and even if it was her end, she wanted to see Aakesh's face for one last ti.
But it seed fate had sothing else planned for her, as suddenly, a bullet pierced through her left knee, unstabilizing her posture.
She crashed to the ground, with her face roughly hitting the ground.

The man eerily laughed as he casually approached Maria. He couldn't help but lick his eyes when he saw the helpless Maria, struggling to escape.
Heat seed to rise from his lower body as he grabbed Maria and picked her up.

Maria was soone that had lived the first half of her life in tragedy, so this was nothing for her. The only regret she had was that she failed to find the store and see Aakesh for one last ti.
The man frowned when he saw Maria's mind wandering sowhere else, even though her life was in his hands.
