Chapter 1029: Beginning!

"You can't harm him!" Jamie cried out and charged toward his father.

Jero, who was about to break Asher's neck, stopped and looked in surprise at his son.

The pause was enough for Jamie to reach Jero, so he appeared before him. Jamie then told his father about the store and why there was a contract.

"A re store gave you so much fright that you agreed to give up part of your territory," Jero growled.

Nonetheless, his grip on Asher's neck had loosened, providing him with so relief.

A weak smile appeared on Jamie's face, and he told about the few custors of the store. Jero's expression turned ugly when he found out that the store had custors from races mightier than his.

Aakesh had postponed the event till the end of the ceremony, as Asher and Alfred had requested.

Around an hour after the event was over, Aakesh woke up from his ditation. He smiled when he saw Lily ditating next to him.

Aakesh rubbed her head, waking her up. She opened her eyes and beca disappointed when she didn't see a screen showing her improvent.

Aakesh only smiled after seeing such antics from her and stood up. The next mont, the door to his room appeared, floating in mid-air, and soon after, the stairs connecting it to the floor also erged.

After a while, Aakesh and Lily returned to the store, looking the sa as ever. He then looked at the store and waved his hands.

The next mont, the system did its magic, and in no ti, the entire hall beca empty, null of any item. At the sa ti, the open rooms also had locked doors.

There was a platform several feet higher than the store's floor at the end of the hall. On top of it, there were two chairs, one for Aakesh and the other for Lily.

He opened the door of the store since it was ti for the competition to begin. As he looked outside, he found a crowd already waiting there.

Aakesh found Asher and Alfred in the crowd, but Asher's condition didn't look good, as if he were extrely tired. Besides the duo, there were two new faces that weren't Vurrons. When one of the two looked at him, he had enmity deeply hidden in his eyes.

Aakesh didn't care about them and turned around, emptying the door to welco the custors.

The next mont, the crowd of people entered the store like a raging tide, and in no ti, the store beca overcrowded, while many people in the street beca disappointed since they couldn't enter the store.

The number of people was a thousand, as Aakesh had put out the number. Outside the store, the number of people was more than what was inside the store. Aakesh even found many of the beast's owners outside, trying to enter.

Aakesh then looked at the crowd inside the store and found the number of non-beast owners higher than he wanted. Still, he had received more than the quest required.

But this way, many of the custors who specifically bought beasts would be left alone, so Aakesh decided to make a deal with the system.

As the years grew, similarly, so did the expansion rate. It was the reason why a year's worth of reduced commission only doubled the available space, but ten years' worth of reduced commission multiplied that number by a whopping thousand.

Aakesh didn't imdiately answer but began to think about what to choose. He couldn't pick more as it would affect his cultivation, and at the sa ti, he couldn't choose less because it would affect the number of attendees and participants.
