"How about we actually create job opportunities in the town? And then finance a business there which will not only employ the townspeople, but also make sure we gain so resources from it too," Jim suggested as he looked at the duo, who were nodding their heads along.
"I like that. Along with that, we make sure the slum residents are employed in the business. Because all of them are poor as fuck, they need to be employed first. Only then can they pay taxes," Max added to the suggestion.
"Okay? For that, we would need about twenty to maybe thirty thousand dollars. Well, I guess we would have to work for about three months to get that money," Jim sighed, and the duo did too.
’That even reminds . I almost forgot about that overpowered skill I have. Now that my MP bar has increased, I can use the skill, but right now, my MP is low. Now his jawline was sharper, his eyes brighter, and there was a strange charm around him that hadn’t been there before. Even the tiredness that once made his face look older was gone. Jim and Jake exchanged glances, almost as if they couldn’t recognize their friend anymore.
But right now, he was easily standing at 6 ft tall, his face so smooth and handso that he currently rivaled Jake standing beside him. His eyes were now sharper, his hair neat and styled to perfection, making it look like he had just stepped out of a magazine photoshoot rather than a rough fight or a hospital bed.
’I really do look different from before. But how? Is it because of the evolution? Because I could have sworn that a week ago, I wasn’t this tall nor was I this handso.

The mont the door snapped shut, the dragon ca back to his senses as he looked up to stare at Jasmine standing awkwardly in front of him.
"Hello." Max said as he waved his hand in front of the C rank hunter, causing her to snap out of her thoughts. "Any problem?" he asked, tilting his head slightly.
"Actually, there’s sothing I want to speak with you about." Jasmine sighed, her shoulders dropping a little as Max led her to his bed and they both sat down side by side.
Secretly, the dragon activated his dragon eyes, letting him view her aura, and right now, it was yellow just like a normal human and not pure white like the ti they battled against the demon.
’I wonder what a white aura ans though.’ he thought as his gaze narrowed slightly.
"Wow. I can’t believe that you really are a dragon. It’s amazing because I’ve only heard about them in novels, movies or as bedti stories. anwhile, a real one is seated beside . So aweso." Jasmine chuckled nervously as she stared at the dragon, trying to keep herself calm.
’Huh? That’s strange. Why are my dragon eyes showing sothing odd? Her aura, it’s flickering slightly to the left. What does that an?’ Max thought as he stared at her with his brows creased.
"Yo... you aren’t going to eat , right?" Jasmine asked with a slight stutter as she stared at the twin yellow eyes glaring softly at her.
Hearing her words, he noticed that her yellow aura flickered uncontrollably and that was when it hit him.
’Oh. She’s nervous. So the ability has evolved too? I can now see whether soone speaks the truth or lies or is even nervous? hn, being a dragon is great except for the part where an entire evil race is after though.’ he chuckled slightly inwardly.
"No, I won’t eat you." Max said as he deactivated his ability with a soft and calm smile on his face. "So, what do you want to speak about?"
"Actually, not ... she wants to speak to you." Jasmine said as she nervously stood up, her voice quiet.
"She? Who’s she..."

Sothing imdiately slamd into Jasmine, cutting her sentence short. Max’s dragon eyes flared up on instinct and he could see the unknown female’s aura changing from a bright yellow to an intense pure white, like a blazing fla in the darkness.
