Chapter 123

"So what do we call our gang huh? Leader?" Jake asked with a teasing smile.

"Okay, that is an issue." Max muttered as he stroked his chin and sat down. "How about we put our heads together huh? And mind you all, no cringe nas like the Black Veil Cartel. That’s so cringe."

"Got it." The duo said almost in unison. Jake began pacing around the room in thought, while Jim stroked his chin too, pretending to be serious.

"Got one!" Jim snapped his fingers with a grin on his face. "How about: The Silver Fighters?"

"How about you shove that cringe ass na into your ass." Jake shot him a glare before scoffing and continuing his pacing.

"Hmm. That one is bad." Jim muttered as he rubbed his forehead, looking like he was calculating the aning of life.

"One." Jake said as he snapped his fingers too, causing Max to raise an eyebrow. "How about: The Red Velvet Gang? It sounds kind of cool."

"Wow, Jake! And I thought you were supposed to be the brains of the gang." Jim sarcastically comnted as he let out a mocking clap.

"Isn’t it catchy? Max?" Jake asked as he turned towards the dragon.

"Sounds nice, but sothing is kind of missing in it." Max muttered as he rubbed his temples in thought.

"Hmm... what can we use again?" Jim muttered as he stroked his head, his face scrunching up.

’I’m getting an idea. I rember how I used to read a few webnovels back on Earth during my free ti. There was this novel where the MC was trying to create a gang too, and he used a na befitting his race. I think he was a werewolf, and he created a gang na that tied back to his nature. Especially with the fact that he had the power to turn humans into werewolves.

So I need a na that ties back to my own race. I can’t deny it anymore, I’m slowly losing touch with my human side and I will beco fully Draconic sooner or later.

So why not embrace this change and create a na that reflects what I am? A dragon should roar proudly, not hide in silence.’ Max thought as several ideas skimd through his mind, though he kept tossing them away.

"Yo! I got one." Jim snapped his fingers again with an excited smile.

"Please, no more cringe ideas." Jake muttered with a hand on his face.

"Since Max is a dragon, and he is basically going to be the leader of the gang, why don’t we create a na that will be as fearso as a dragon? A na that carries the weight of a draconic bloodline." Jim said with confidence.

"Your point exactly?" Jake asked with a raised brow, curious despite his sarcasm.

"How about: The Draconic Syndicate?" Jim suggested with a proud smile on his face.

"I’m stunned. That is actually a nice na. Don’t you think, Max?" Jake asked as he turned toward the dragon.

"Sounds nice and sowhat elegant. But one problem though," Max said as his gaze fell on the duo.

"Which is?" Jim asked.

"Am I trying to announce to the world who I am? If we use that na, there are two problems here. Firstly, it sounds like so mafia-type stuff, and secondly, it puts an unnecessary target on our backs."

Max leaned back, folding his arms. "The mont that na spreads, the demons, the Cartel, and even the association will start connecting dots. Do we really want that kind of heat before we’re even strong enough to handle it?"

Jake and Jim exchanged a glance, realizing he had a point.

"Secondly, those that hate dragons would start targeting us. And when our na slowly spreads, they would co find us and put us down totally." Max explained firmly.

"So what’s your suggestion?" Jake asked with a raised brow.

"How about a na which will be fearso but not scream, ’Hey! These guys got a dragon with them.’" Max added, tapping his chin in thought.

"So? Anything in mind?" Jim asked, his tone curious, and the dragon smiled faintly.

"Actually, yes, sothing is in mind."

"Let’s hear it." Jake said as he walked over from the corner of the room where he had been leaning earlier.

"How about: The Crimson Scales." Max suggested, his voice calm but resolute. The duo froze for a mont, exchanging glances, before smiles flashed across their faces.

"Simple, morable, and fear-inducing for our foes—especially when they feel our power." Jake smirked at this, clearly pleased.

"I love it." Jim added with a grin on his face.

"Great then. So from henceforth, we will be known as The Crimson Scales." Max declared, raising his fist into the air with conviction.

"Now, we just have to get our symbol down, work on a uniform, recruit more mbers that we can trust, and get more money to fund ourselves and pay our minions." Jake sighed as he rubbed his temples in thought. "hn! This is a lot of work."

"Told ya." Max smirked as he rose up and began walking out. "Anyway, I need to go stretch my limbs, have fun." He said, and then he left the room, his footsteps echoing faintly as the door shut behind him.

anwhile, in a massive corporation that had been working rigorously to produce more hybrid serum, the atmosphere was tense yet buzzing with anticipation. For the past few weeks, scientists and engineers had been working tirelessly, burning through sleepless nights on an entirely new idea.

After the governnt officially banned lethal weapons such as guns, bombs, nukes, and other destructive arms, corporations had shifted their focus. They had been tasked with creating technology that could give humans an edge against hybrids in case the hybrids suddenly decided to overthrow them.

It was not about destruction anymore but about survival and balance—tools that could suppress and weaken hybrids without outright wiping them out. The risk was great, the responsibility even greater.

Finally, after so much sacrifice, endless testing, and pouring every resource they had into the project, the breakthrough had co. In the center of a heavily secured laboratory, a single weapon floated on a reinforced pedestal, its blue light casting an otherworldly glow across their faces.

"We... we actually did it! After so long, we have created weapons that would give us an edge against hybrids, won’t be lethal against them, and would put us far above the competition." A man rejoiced heavily, his voice shaking as his colleagues stared wide-eyed at the weapon.

Its design looked almost alien, sleek and compact, but with veins of radiant blue energy flowing across its surface. It pulsed with restrained power, as if eager to be tested.

Smiles spread across the room. So clapped, others simply exhaled in relief. The tension of months seed to wash away in a single mont of success.

"We need to inform the director of this breakthrough imdiately." Another scientist said, his tone brimming with urgency. He quickly turned and hurried out of the room, his lab coat flapping behind him as the others remained, marveling at the birth of what could potentially reshape humanity’s future.
