When Fang Linyan made these plans, he put Fernand’s personality into full consideration: manic, irritable, reckless, and crazy. That’s why he ca up with this bullfighting-like plan, calculating every step and focusing on provocating him.

If this guy was cool, cruel, easily suspicious, and shrewd, then most of the plans would have been vastly different.

Of course, any plan was full of variables and risks. For example, Fang Linyan didn’t expect that one of Fernand’s trump cards turned out to be the fireball attached to the necklace around his neck, which burst out fire damage to force back the enemy!

Fortunately, the magic power for most of the magic-infused equipnt was determined by the infuser rather than the wearer. Thus, it wouldn’t be affected by the spirit of the wearer.

Not to ntion that Fernand himself was a dark wizard, the damage he inflicted wouldn’t be lacking. So, his lifesaving equipnt would most likely have the functions that he lacked.

This was why Fang Linyan could survive the fireball, but it also scared him enough to drink a bottle of healing potion imdiately.

To be honest, Fang Linyan used a lot of energy and money to plan out this trap. He also took a lot of risks at the sa ti. But now, it seed that he had won the bet, and this was the ti for the sweet finishing touch.

***

Facing Fernand who was digging for sothing, Fang Linyan threw out another [Machine Gun Turret] again, then he disappeared into the simple shack on the side.

Just because Fang Linyan was hiding, it didn’t an that he left. He was more like a poisonous snake lurking in the dark. Once Fernand showed any signs of weakness, he would erge for the kill.

What was Fernand looking for? It was a magic potion he kept close to his chest, which restores a certain amount of MP after consuming it.

But after he saw Fang Linyan hiding, he imdiately realized that even if he took out the potion, it would be difficult to drink it smoothly.

Instead, he looked around and staggered to another shack beside him hurriedly.

It was just that his actions were already in Fang Linyan’s predictions, so Fang Lingyan imdiately threw a TK Stick Grenade out. It was fun to use aoe damage items since he didn’t have to be too precise.

Fernand only rushed about 6 steps when he saw the smoking TK Stick Grenade coming to him from behind. It landed in front of him with a clatter.

Having extrely low basic attributes (except spirit) that were close to that of an ordinary person had always been the bane of most magicians. Fernand, who practiced black magic, was no exception to this.

In the next second, he felt a huge scorching wind blowing on his face. His whole body was overturned on the ground, and his mind was blank. He only felt intense pain all over him after his mind went blank for a mont.

The most terrible thing was that this ti, the [Machine Gun Turret] deployed by Fang Linyan had completed its calibration and began to shoot ruthlessly!

The [Machine Gun Turret]’s damage wouldn’t be mitigated when attacking plot characters like Fernand. Moreover, a dark wizard’s defense toward physical ranged attacks was very low, and their magical robes weren’t used to protect them. So, a 5 round burst would be at least fifty damage points!

Not only that, Fang Linyan noticed so additional features to his Basic Shooting LV4: movent speed slows on the enemy. As the [Machine Gun Turret] shoots 5 rounds in a row, it had 25% to trigger the special effect which decreases the enemy’s speed! This lowers the chances of the other party escaping even more.

At the sa ti, Fang Linyan also set up his Lee Enfield Rifle and tilted his head with 1 eye closed to aim.

Fernand finally felt death approaching slowly with a sinister grin. He frantically struggled and scread, but his panic made things worse. Just as he struggled to get up on his feet and ran a few steps, he stumbled and fell to the ground again.

With this fall, his last chance of survival was imdiately annihilated.

Fang Linyan tilted his head while looking at the beating HP on his retinas,

He closed his eyes,

Aid,

Pulled the trigger!

The muzzle fired instantly, and the bullet pierced through Fernand’s throat. The number 74 popped up distinctly.

Fernand was stiffened on the ground. The luster of life was rapidly fading. He originally managed to stand up, but he fell to the ground again, then he stopped breathing.

Fang Linyan then got a prompt,

“Your shot dealt 74 damage to the enemy.”

“You killed the Dark Wizard Magian: Fernand Ludos Mattes.”

“Contestant ZB419, your strength evaluation coefficient is single digits; the dark wizard: Fernand Ludos Mattes’ strength evaluation coefficient is three digits, the difference in strength between you is huge. It was more than a 1:10 ratio, and you dealt the full damage.”

“The quality of the loot you get will be upgraded.”

“If the word of you killing Fernand spreads out, then your reputation in the secret organization: Death Eaters will drop. Its mbers will beco hostile to you.”

“The ancient dark magic book (incomplete) you carry has sensed the sll of food, so it is on the verge of losing control.”

The first few prompts were nothing and didn’t surprise Fang Linyan too much, but he never expected that by killing this dark wizard, he accidentally solved the problem of satiating the (incomplete) ancient black magic book’s hunger.

Who would have thought that the food for this damn (incomplete) ancient dark magic book turned out to be the corpse of a magician who also practiced black magic?

At this ti, he could see a silver key floating above Fernand’s body!

This was the first ti Fang Linyan had seen such a high-quality key, so he excitedly inquired the Space.

The final response showed that any equipnt inside the treasure chests summoned by this key would have a 75% chance of being silver story equipnt or item.

There was even a small chance (8%) to get item or equipnt of higher quality. However, there was also a small chance for lower quality (black) item or equipnt to drop.

Fang Linyan grabbed the silver key and put it into his private space, then he took out the (incomplete) ancient dark magic book he was carrying.

As a result, as soon as this thing appeared, a huge force ca from it imdiately and broke free from Fang Linyan’s grasp, then it pounced toward Fernand’s corpse.

Then a strange thing happened. After the book fell on the corpse, the strange face on the cover made a strange motion of inhaling up to the sky as if there was so wonderful sll in the air. After that, the book jumped in place, bit sothing in the air and chewed fiercely before swallowing it.

After witnessing such a strange thing, Fang Linyan imdiately thought of 1 thing. It was devouring the soul generated after Fernand’s death!

Not only that, after this incomplete ancient dark magic book ate the soul, it was still unsatisfied. It threw itself on Fernand’s corpse and started to eat it. Fortunately, it did not eat ssily like a beast. Instead, the areas that it gnawed on dried up and turned into dust that dissipated under the wind.

After the (incomplete) ancient dark magic book devoured Fernand’s corpse and turned it into dust, the book turned motionless. Its satiety level had increased to 61%. Fang Linyan turned around and left after picking it up. It wasn’t a good idea to stay at a cri scene for too long.

When Fang Linyan walked more than 100 ters, he suddenly felt a faint throbbing from the (incomplete) ancient dark magic book. Then, an arrogant voice ca from Fang Linyan’s mind,

“Aha, what a sweet soul and flesh, worship ! My humble servant, I will give you great power and long life!”

Fang Linyan smiled,

“I’ve given you a delicious al, so shouldn’t you give sothing in return?”

The voice imdiately beca furious,

“Ignorant fool, how dare you to speak to the great Demon God phisto like this?”

Fang Linyan said lightly,

“Mr. phisto, I’m a very utilitarian person. If you can’t return any benefits to , it’s really unfortunate. Please forgive for throwing you back to where you once were.”

Hearing the threat in Fang Linyan’s language, the so-called Demon God “phisto” was silent for a while, then he roared in a low voice,

“Okay, okay! You greedy guy, feed . Once I am full, I will give you a surprise!”

Fang Linyan showed a strange smile, shrugged, and said,

“Okay, then it’s settled.”

***

After disappearing into the crowd, Fang Linyan found a place to brush up his look first.

During the battle with Fernand, he was also beaten badly. His nose was bruised and his face was covered in mud. Not only that, although the deflected acid arrow failed to deal full damage, it still managed to corrode so part of his body. Even if he cleaned himself up, he still looked like a holess man.

After finishing these trivial matters, Fang Linyan felt a little hungry, so he walked into a small restaurant, intending to count his harvest while filling his stomach.

The England was really a food desert. There weren’t many options, so Fang Linyan ordered bean soup, bread and bacon, and finally a fried fish.

TL: 1 corpse for 61%? Isn’t it too easy?
