Chapter 501: Chapter 44: Prequel to Treasure Lotus Lamp (Part 6)

(PS: First update for the recomndation, continuing to write!)

Amidst the auspicious and colorful clouds of Penglai Island, Wang Shu, in her pink skirt, sat quietly in the small pavilion in the center of the Lotus Pond, gazing from afar at the approaching Little Yang Chan.

Two hundred years had passed, and Yang Chan was no longer the tearful little girl she once was. She had transford into an extraordinary beauty, tall and elegant, even surpassing her mother Yaoji in loveliness. She exuded the charm of a young woman coming into her own.

Yang Chan, dressed in a moon-white Taoist robe, imdiately took hold of Wang Shu’s lotus-white arm upon arrival, and with a coy and beaming smile, asked, “Master, what’s the matter that you called Chan’er here?”

Little Yang Chan had grown up on Penglai Island, and everyone there, like Little Elf Han ng, Jade Lotus, Kong Xuan… they all adored this endearing and lovely junior apprentice sister. She alone always treated Wang Shu, her Master, without much formality.

On Penglai Island, that seed to have beco Yang Chan’s exclusive privilege.

Wang Shu tapped Yang Chan’s nose, laughing, “You girl, still so impatient!”

“Hehe, co on, Master! Why did you ask Chan’er to co?” Yang Chan wrinkled her cute nose, shaking Wang Shu’s arm as she spoke.

Wang Shu smiled and then said, “Chan’er, it’s been two hundred years since you ca to Penglai Island. You are naturally gifted, and you’ve been diligent in your cultivation; now, you’ve reached the realm of Taiyi Profound Immortal. Isn’t that right?”

Yang Chan shook her little head in confusion, replying, “That’s right, Master!”

“Your mother Yaoji has been suppressed under Taoshan for two hundred years, and now it’s ti for her to re-erge into the world!” Wang Shu let out a light sigh, continuing, “Your father and brothers have already gone to Taoshan, you should pack up and hurry there too!”

“Really?” Yang Chan’s eyes sparkled brightly as she jumped up excitedly, cheering, “Master, are you really allowing to leave the island to rescue my mother?”

“You silly girl!” Wang Shu was startled by Yang Chan’s reaction, saying, “Sit down!”

“That’s wonderful, Master! All these years of hard cultivation were in hopes of saving my mother soon, so our family can be reunited!” Yang Chan’s excited little face turned red, and she could hardly wait to fly to Taoshan to save her mother.

Wang Shu shook her head and, with a gentle wave of her hand towards the distance, a green figure darted over with the speed of lightning.

“Eh? Master, why did you call Xiao Kong over?” asked Yang Chan, puzzled as she watched the Green Lion Dog King rush towards them.

“Back then, this Green Lion Dog King escaped from the Demon Locking Tower in the East Extre Desire Realm, and your mother Yaoji, along with Tianpeng, tracked it to Earth, where she then t your father. And you know what happened after that,” Wang Shu said with a smile, looking at the Green Lion Dog King lying in the pavilion, “Xiao Kong, you’ve been on Penglai Island for over two hundred years now, and your cultivation has also reached the Quasi-Saint Realm. Since Yang Chan is going to Taoshan to save her mother, you should accompany her. Oh, and Yang Chan’s second brother, Yang Jian, is also a successor of the Penglai lineage; from here on, you follow Chan’er’s second brother, Yang Jian!”

“Xiao Kong humbly obeys the matriarch’s command!” The Green Lion Dog King Xiao Kong bowed towards Wang Shu, then cozied up to Yang Chan’s Taoist robe as if seeking her favor.

An excited Yang Chan petted the Green Lion Dog King’s large head, then knelt and said, “Thank you, Master, for this! I believe my second brother will be very happy!”

With a graceful raise of her hand, Wang Shu stroked the black hair on Yang Chan’s head, speaking softly, “Why thank , girl! Rember, after you rescue your mother, return to Penglai Island imdiately. Do not linger in the human world for too long!”

“Yes, your disciple will rember!” Saying this, Yang Chan leaped onto Xiao Kong’s back and disappeared from Penglai Island.

Wang Shu gazed into the distance, murmuring, “Girl, if only you could heed one word from your master. You might escape the tribulations that follow!”

In Jizhou, at the base of a towering mountain that reached into the clouds, three n were looking up at the mountain. They were the Yang Family father and sons.

This Taoshan was simply too vast, towering into the Cangqiong, majestic and boundless. Pull it out and it could pierce the sky, dig it up and it could fill the seas. It was hard to imagine that this huge mountain was ford from a peach.

The three n kept sizing up the Taoshan before them. Yang Tianyou’s face was ashen, his voice anxious as he said, “With such a huge mountain pressing down on your mother at the base, can she still be alive?”

After all, Yang Tianyou was rely a little white in cultivation, while the Yaoji of those days had already reached the realm of Taiyi. Even if tens of thousands of mountains were pressing down upon her, she would not perish.

Besides, Hao Tian and Yaoji were siblings, and as the saying goes, an elder brother is like a father. Even if Yaoji had committed all manner of wrongs, Hao Tian would surely not lay a killing hand on her!

Thus, Yang Jiao and Yang Jian weren’t concerned about this problem. With tears in their eyes, they knelt to the ground with a thud and called out loudly, “Mother, your sons have been unfilial, letting you be trapped in this mountain for two hundred years. We are here to rescue you now!”

At this mont, a voice of disbelief ca from the base of the mountain. The voice was soft and beautiful, but with a hint of exhaustion, “Da Lang, Erlang, is that you?”

The voice that ca from beneath Taoshan was indeed Yaoji’s.

For two hundred years, Yaoji had been imprisoned in the dark Taoshan, without sunlight, without seeing any living creatures; hearing no voices, slling no scents of flowers. If it were not for her relentless thoughts, she might have been driven mad by the endless desolation long ago.

Now, hearing the voices of Yang Jiao and Yang Jian, her longing surged like a flash flood, overwhelming, as she could not help but ask aloud.

Upon hearing their mother’s voice, Yang Jiao and Yang Jian imdiately burst into tears, “Mother, it’s , I’m Da Lang (Erlang)!”

Yaoji exclaid, “Da Lang, Erlang, leave quickly! Don’t worry about !”

For a mother, knowing that her children are safe is the greatest happiness.

Now, Taoshan was fraught with danger. Who knew if Hao Tian would send down Heavenly Soldiers again to intercept and kill her whole family?

At this mont, the bewildered Yang Tianyou finally snapped back to reality and called out tremblingly, “My lady, I am Tianyou, I am Tianyou!”

“Husband!” Yaoji cried out sorrowfully, her heart’s softest spot touched. She wailed in grief, “Husband, take the children and go, quickly! This Taoshan is ford by Hao Tian through the Heavenly Rules; it’s not sothing you can break through!”

“My lady, we have been separated for more than two hundred years. Even if I have to et my end shattered to pieces today, I must rescue you!” Yang Tianyou’s eyes glistened with emotion, his voice was resolute, and his righteous energy rolled unceasingly.

“Foolishness, my husband, you are foolish! If we don’t leave now, once the Heavenly Soldiers and Generals arrive, it will be too late! Too late…” At this mont, like a cuckoo weeping blood, Yaoji’s mind was completely disordered.

While this family of four was entangling with each other, suddenly from the mountainside of Taoshan, a gruff roar ca, “Halt, this place is a Forbidden Land set by the Heavenly Court. Who dares to make a noise here? Are you tired of living?”

Then, a burly man wielding a giant axe leaped down from the middle of the mountain.(To be continued. If you like this work, you are welco to vote for it at Qidian (qidian) with recomndations or monthly tickets. Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users can read at m.qidian.)
