"What? How is that possible?"

In an instant, Mile and the Three Thousand Buddhas’ expressions changed drastically.

With so many fierce demons and beasts, plus the terrifying water of the Long River, even if the Vajra Demon Suppression Formation can hold for a while, what about after that? Wouldn’t they still be devoured by the Chaotic Demons and die?

Mile, for the first ti, began to regret his rash actions, but alas, there is no dicine for regret in this world.

"Hahaha, are you scared? Tremble in this endless despair!" The Flying Snake laughed wildly as he watched the ashen-faced Buddha’s sons.

"Damn, you freak! You scared the crap out of , you dead freak!" Li Qingming in the Three Pure Ones Hall, with a face of disgust, watched the sowhat mad Flying Snake in the Water Mirror and cursed the Flying Snake’s ancestors under his breath.

"Hum!"

Just as the spherical Vajra Demon Suppression Formation was drifting back and forth in the turbid waters of the Yellow River, a lotus emitting a faint halo broke through the sky.

This lotus had six petals, each adorned with an image of a Great Buddha.

These Great Buddhas were all radiant with golden light, so in the Angry-eyed Vajra pose, so in a smiling belly-full pose, so in a compassion-full face pose... The six petals of the lotus revolved nimbly, and in the center of the lotus, there was a faint ghostly fire scattering flickering light.

The river beca calm in an instant, all the demonic ghosts disappeared. The Long River, which was previously raging trendously, now was calm and no longer stirred up waves.

This six-petaled lotus was a Golden Lotus Lamp personally refined by Xuanhu, crafted specifically for suppressing demons and fierce ghosts. It was a secret treasure for restraining evil demons, burning within it was the lotus stem specially left behind when picking the Reincarnation Purple Lotus.

After the calamity, Mile and the Three Thousand Buddhas breathed a sigh of relief.

When they saw the lamp emitting a faint purple aura, they laughed heartily, taunting the Flying Snake, "Hahaha, that wretched demon! Poor Monk sees that your cultivation has not been easy; you should quickly give up resistance and follow us back to Western Suru Mountain to guard the mountain gate!"

"Ants, shut up!" The Flying Snake, emanating murderous intent, gave Mi Lei a fierce glance and turned to look at the Golden Lotus Lamp.

Mile, swept by the Flying Snake’s fierce gaze, felt his body stiffen, his hairs standing on end. He opened his mouth but didn’t shout again, ultimately fearing the Flying Snake.

Feeling an inexplicably imnse pressure, the Flying Snake’s pupils suddenly shrank, staring fixedly at the shimring Golden Lotus Lamp.

One could see this lamp covered in purple mist, emitting an ancient aura. The Great Buddhas carved on the petals were lifelike, as if naturally ford. The purple wick leaped with flas, surprisingly burning a myriad of talisman characters, flowing around under the encirclent of the six petals.

"Which rat dares hide here?" The Flying Snake withdrew the Long River, surveying the Void of the Cycle, his eyes releasing unbridled murderous intent.

"Amitabha Buddha! Benefactor, lay down the butcher’s knife and beco a Buddha on the spot!"

Suddenly, a gentle sigh echoed from the Void, drifting within the vicinity.

"Crack!"

The black Void cracked open, and Jieyin, bald-headed, tattered, one-ard, and frail, stepped out from the space rift, his face full of sorrow.

"My Buddh!"

From afar, Mile led the Three Thousand Buddhas in kneeling and saluting towards Jieyin.

Danger, extre danger!

This was the Flying Snake’s first impression of the skinny old man in front of him.

"Didn’t they say that Zhunti had perished? Then who are you?" The Flying Snake, looking at the multitude of kneeling Buddha’s sons, asked bluntly.

"Uh!" Jieyin was montarily stunned, then imdiately uttered a Buddha’s na, "This old monk is the Sect Hierarch of the Western Buddha Sect, Amitabha Buddha!"

"Amitabha Buddha, Amitabha Buddha..." The Flying Snake chanted a few tis, ultimately unable to figure it out.

Taiyi had talked to him about so matters over these years, but whenever Taiyi ntioned the Western Teachings, he always talked about Jieyin, never ntioning Amitabha Buddha. Hence, the Flying Snake brushed it off.

Not understanding, the Flying Snake simply stopped dwelling on this issue, instead pointing to the Buddha’s sons and asked, "Why would you save these dood beings?"

Jieyin gestured for Mile and others to stand up, then looking at the Flying Snake, said, "Benefactor, how have these disciples of this old monk offended the Benefactor, prompting such harsh actions from you?"

"Hmph, harsh actions?" The Flying Snake chuckled coldly, responding, "What fault is there in mobilizing the waters of the Yellow River to irrigate the Huaxia Land? Yet these ants recklessly captured seven or eight parts of my floodwaters. Since they acted, they must pay the price!"

Of course, although the Flying Snake felt a dangerous aura from this old monk, it didn’t an he feared Jieyin. If push ca to shove, he could just summon the mark of the Demon Suppression Tower sealed inside his body and hide within the tower.

"Oh?" Jieyin reached out to retrieve the Golden Lotus Lamp, still with a sorrowful expression, spoke, "This towering flood was stirred up by the Benefactor?"

"Hmph, stinky monk! This is a matter between the Demon Race and the Human Clan, it’s not your place, as part of Buddhism, to intervene." The Flying Snake’s expression grew colder; he was already tired of talking to this old monk.

Master Jieyin twirled a flower with his fingers and said earnestly, "Benefactor, the old monk is also thinking of the Demon Race! Think about it, the Human Clan is now the protagonist of Heaven and Earth, isn’t the behavior of the Demon Race like defying the heavens? When disasters descend from heaven, how will your Demon Race cope? By then, it might even bring calamity to the entire Demon Race, so please withdraw!"

"Old monk, go and tell this to Taiyi!" The Flying Snake grew increasingly irritable and simply unleashed his full montum, pressuring toward Jieyin.

Even a lion uses its full strength to catch a rabbit, let alone when facing a Saint who has proven the Primordial Chaos! The situation is clearly critical; whoever you are, a Saint or not, fight first!

"Boom boom boom!"

As the Flying Snake made his move, dark clouds churned in the sky, and endless thunder roared, shaking heaven and earth. Ancient war chariots made entirely of thunder rumbled, crushing the heavenly vault and charging straight at the old monk Jieyin.

"Amitabha Buddha!"

Jieyin looked up, his gaze peculiar as he watched the approaching war chariots, and threw a seemingly gentle punch. The punch, soft yet incredibly powerful, carried a golden light that pierced the day, pressing down like a great mountain.

A long river sprang up with a ten-thousand-feet-high water column, and the area around for miles, filled with ruins, collapsed instantly.

A golden fist manifested in the void, smashing directly onto those imposing thunderstorm war chariots. The Flying Snake didn’t even have ti to control the chariots to dodge, and they were imdiately blasted apart, disintegrating into void Thunder Origin Power that dissipated into the air.

Just as the chariots were completely destroyed in an instant, Flying Snake’s body shuddered slightly, a minor movent that was hard to notice if not for Jieyin’s constant vigilance with his Power of Primordial Spirit.

Suppressing the surge of blood qi in his heart, the Flying Snake burst into laughter: "Good, hahaha! Good! For so many years, never have I encountered a Great Power like you!

At the sa ti, a massive aura surged out from the Flying Snake, a terrifying murderous intent sweeping across all directions like a torrential sea, engulfing the ruined lands of Xuzhou.

"I once heard that years ago, Emperor Gouchen Li Qingming made you and your disciples lose face completely, even carrying out the act of Slaying Saints and eliminated that unlucky Zhunti! Today, let , the Flying Snake, test your ttle, Jieyin—take this!" With a loud shout, the black light flickered endlessly in his eyes.

Two pitch-black demonic mists sprayed out from his eyes and quickly spread out to several miles around, eventually completely burying this part of the world.

In an instant, it was pitch black everywhere, and seeing even a hand in front of you was impossible.

However, for Jieyin and other disciples of Buddha like Maitreya, even in this dark thick fog, it was clear and discernible.

"Crack, crack..."

After about the ti it takes to drink a cup of tea, strange sounds started coming from deep within the void.

Afterward, there appeared a massive white skeletal frawork before everyone’s eyes, boiling the entire area imdiately.

The white skeleton, shaped like a giant dragon, was nearly a thousand yards long, with ribs forming bone wings. In its hollow eye sockets, two green malevolent flas flickered.

"What a grand demon of bygone ages!" Jieyin, sensing the icy murder emanating from the white skeleton, changed his sorrowful countenance to a stern one.

"Old monk, this Bone Venerate of mine was refined from the bones of Chaos God Demons! Freshly born today, it is perfect to restart its killing spree with your Saint’s blood! Hahaha..." The chilling voice of Flying Snake ca from all directions, making it impossible to discern his position.

"Roar!"

The Bone Venerate faithfully carried out Flying Snake’s task of annihilating the Buddhas.

It roared and shattered the mountains and rivers, completely crumbled this area of space, and swung its huge tail toward Jieyin. Its tail cut through the void, smashing the barely closing spatial cracks anew.

Jieyin first waved his hand to throw the disciples, back dozens of miles away, then his right hand lifted lightly, casting out objects like the Golden Lotus again.

"Bang!"

The lotus lamp ignited without fire, its colors even richer than before, lighting up the area for miles around in an instant. Furthermore, a ring of purplish aura erged, forming a protective shield that tightly guarded Jieyin inside.

Just then, as the tail wing of the Bone Venerate cut across the sky and hit in front of Jieyin, it swiped with the force of a falling autumn leaf.

"Boom!"

Inside the protective shield, Jieyin only felt a powerful force impacting him. Subsequently, he realized he was flying, and even the protective Golden Lotus Lamp seed to be trembling in the storm, apparently about to extinguish at any mont.

"Hahaha, Jieyin, I told you, this Bone Venerate is different from those little demons and little demons. Not only is it powerful, but it has also inherited so abilities of that unfortunate Chaotic Demon God! That so-called Golden Lotus Lamp of yours is of no use against the Bone Venerate!" Flying Snake laughed wildly, his voice filled with boundless excitent.

"Amitabha Buddha, thank you for the reminder, Benefactor!" Jieyin responded with a slight smile and said, "I wonder if this will work?"

He flipped his palm toward heaven, and a purple-golden bowl appeared, like a purple-golden celestial do descending, covering the entire Bone Demon below, spreading over the sky, with golden Buddha Power bursting forth. An imnse suction force suddenly descended, the bowl hovering up and down in the boundless black space as if ingesting the sun and the moon.

Compared with the power of Jieyin’s bowl, those of Maitreya and others were rely a joke. (To be continued. If you like this work, please go to Qidian (qidian) to cast your vote and monthly ticket. Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users please read at m.qidian.)
