Chapter 294: Chapter 140: Until Hell Is Empty, I Swear Not to Beco a Buddha!
The Vajra Pestle was directly flung out by Zhunti, turning into a golden lion. With a mighty roar, the space shook like overlapping mountains, and the profound Dharma Seal was struck out, directly imprinted on the blade of the Avici Yuan Tu.
“Hmph, asly tricks!” Netherworld River snorted coldly, flipping the long sword in his hand. A blue light escaped from the Avici Sword, and in an instant, mountains crumbled and the sea flooded, and the space within dozens of feet was shattered in the blink of an eye, shooting towards the lion with an unparalleled force.
“Thump!”
With a dull sound, the lion couldn’t withstand the invasion of the sword light and dissolved into smoke and clouds in an instant. Guiding coughed lightly, his body sent flying backward, the golden light of his Undamaged Body unable to withstand Netherworld River’s sharp assault—it was simply not enough.
“Yo, fellow Daoist Tongtian! Shall I co over and help?” Netherworld River taunted Tongtian after sending Guiding flying.
“Damn it!” Tongtian cursed under his breath and unexpectedly closed his eyes at this mont. He raised one hand lightly, and the Qingping Sword in his hand suddenly dispersed its elegance, the plain sword becoming lifeless. At this mont, the Qingping Sword was exuding a strange aura. No, to be precise, it was Tongtian himself exuding a strange aura.
“Sky-breaking Style!”
Suddenly, Tongtian’s eyes snapped open. His gaze was piercing cold; his Daoist robe fluttered without wind, billowing behind him. Holding the Qingping Sword in one hand, he made a deceptively slow yet swift slash, imnsely heavy. As he swung the Qingping Sword, Li Qingming even felt an illusion, as if sensing the force of the Great Dao stirring, rendering everything around so quiet that one could hear a needle fall, the sound of wind over grass, the rustling of leaves, and even the sound of blood flowing through one’s veins.
“Thump!”
The invisible montum driven by that slash, the rit Golden Lotus protecting Zhunti, was crushed, obliterating all the nothingness. In an instant, a dazzling thunderbolt flashed by, followed by a casual slash of bamboo-like sword light, faintly chopping on the Twelve-Grade Golden Lotus.
Although the Twelve-Grade rit Golden Lotus was of the sa root as the Qingping Sword, with unrivaled defense, it straightforwardly shattered before the sword light. It was split in two, sending flying both its lotus platforms.
“Hahaha, you forced my hand! You forced it!” Zhunti, flying backward, roared hysterically, his brow’s Ten Thousand Character rune quivering like an escaping rabbit, his expression indescribably ferocious.
Suddenly, the Ten Thousand Character Buddha Seal stopped quivering and leapt out from his brow. In his hand, it turned into a strange bracelet, which had only five prayer beads on it, engraved with the Four Symbols and Five Shapes, flashing with five-colored radiance.
“Boom!”
Zhunti picked out one prayer bead and tossed it southwestward. From the bead surged a red light, imdiately subrging the space for miles around, and a huge spatial rift appeared with raging fires burning within.
Even soone as powerful as Li Qingming felt an intense heat, the space for miles around completely collapsing. He was startled, thinking to himself: “What is this thing? Zhunti always brings us surprises!”
“Boom”
Zhunti plucked another prayer bead and tossed it northwestward. From the bead darted out a blue light, and with a gust of wind, the original spatial rift expanded several tis over in an instant, its interior pitch dark with swirling Chaos Qi and wild winds.
Caught off guard, Tongtian was blown miles away. His Daoist robe was in disarray, and he took several cuts from the wind blades, constantly producing clanging sounds.
“Boom!”
For the third ti, Zhunti twirled a prayer bead, tossing it southwestward. A pitch-black river surged out, rushing towards Tongtian, overflowing with yin energy, capable of dissolving everything, corroding all things between Heaven and Earth.
“Qu Yuan Heavy Water!” Houtu was more than familiar with the Qu Yuan Heavy Water possessed by Xuanming, and she was even more surprised to see this long river spanning across the sky.
“Zhunti, will you ever be done?” Tongtian raged, once again lifting his Qingping Sword and chopping down.
“Sky-breaking Style!” The erald edge of the blade tore through the void, shattering nothingness.
“Boom!”
Just then, Zhunti threw the fourth prayer bead northeastward.
Suddenly life erupted in the void, with endless ancient pines and various vines erging, coiling into large dragons. All spiritual energy from every direction was drained in an instant. The space within dozens of miles beca extrely dim, with the rich aura of vegetation appearing out of nowhere and forming nurous Dao Maps, wrapping up the invisible Sword Qi.
“Thump!”
With a light chirping sound, the Wood Essence Qi persisted, but the Sword Qi had been dispersed into invisibility.
“Boom!”
As Zhunti threw the last prayer bead into the huge spatial rift in the sky, the entire space seed to shake. An imnsely heavy earthy aura poured from the rift in the space, surging powerfully.
“Rumble!”
The area of a hundred miles enveloped by the Tai Chi Diagram fell into complete chaos of the Five Elents’ energies. The tumultuous mixed energies were no different from those in the Primordial Era.
“Eldest Brother, Zhunti is truly heartless, to recreate the chaos of Primordial here! What are we to do? If no one can break this, we will have no choice but to seal this place forever!” Primordial frowned as he looked at the dangerous mixed space, speaking with a hint of annoyance.
Laozi, who was originally serene and non-action oriented, angrily glanced at the recently returned Jieyin and said, “This place is a critical zone of Reincarnation. If it remains sealed for a long ti, how can the souls of all beings be reincarnated? Fellow Daoist Jieyin, you really have made quite the calculation!”
The just-returned Jieyin, with a sorrowful look on his face, shook his head and said, “Amitabha Buddha! The Inverted Five Elents Pearl has not manifested greatly, and we initially did not wish to use it here. Alas, several Fellow Daoists have repeatedly prevented us from entering Reincarnation, leaving us no choice!”
“Humph, the Reincarnation World has already been integrated into the trajectory of the Great Dao. Every day of delay ans countless souls cannot be reincarnated. This boundless karma will surely fall upon you – beware and take heed!” Netherworld River snorted coldly, his expression quite displeased.
“Please, Fellow Daoist, show rcy and heal this place with a Spiritual Treasure! Alleviate the suffering of the souls of billions of living beings!” Houtu, who had been silent, burst into tears upon hearing that this hundred miles area would be sealed for a long ti.
Jieyin looked at Houtu, silently musing for a while, then said, “The Inverted Five Elents Pearl lies with Fellow Daoist Zhunti. I, a re monk, have no authority over it!”
“Zhunti, Fellow Daoist, I hope for the sake of the living beings of Primordial, you will heal this land!” Her eyes brightening upon hearing this, Houtu turned her head towards Zhunti.
At that mont, Zhunti’s eyes were bloodshot, his mouth twisted into a strange smile, and he said, “If you wish for this place to be healed, you must have Tongtian and Netherworld River kowtow and apologize to this Buddha. And that brat Qingmingzi, who has repeatedly insulted us – he must atone with his death!”
Houtu covered her mouth in shock, disbelief filling her eyes. Setting aside the reality of demanding Tongtian and Netherworld River apologize to Zhunti, the very demand for Li Qingming’s life was a hurdle she could not overco.
“Hahaha, what will it be? The living beings of Primordial or the re Qingmingzi – how will you choose?” Zhunti laughed vulgarly, his words dripping with endless mockery.
Houtu’s eyes brimd with sorrow, and her tears fell ceaselessly.
Li Qingming, watching the utterly wronged Houtu, for the first ti began to hate Zhunti trendously.
So much for “Buddha’s compassion” – it’s all bullshit! Zhunti disregards billions of lives; what compassion does he speak of, what right does he have to talk of rcy?
“Roar!”
Seething with anger, Li Qingming roared furiously, shooting up into the sky. A light began to trail behind him, quickly circling at his back. The light, though not intense, carried an overwhelming fierceness.
Gradually, the light coalesced into a fearso beast, a never-before-seen fierce creature exuding an unmatched presence that reminded the saints of Hong Jun, the mighty being representing the Heavenly Dao.
The beast, colored in black and white, represented the forces of Extre Yin and Supre Yang, entwining and spiraling around its body.
As the saying goes, Dao gives birth to One, One to Two, Two to Three, and Three to all things. One is non-existence, Two is Yin and Yang; this beast perfectly rged the principles of the Yin Yang Law – it was the true form of Li Qingming, the Swallowing Sky Bear!
The eyes of The Three Pure Ones and Netherworld River beca fixed, the Western Two Saints were stunned, and Houtu transfixed…
They never imagined that, in just a few short years, Li Qingming could have beco so powerful.
Suddenly, a terrifying killing intent as piercing as the Heavenly Sword surged from the giant shadow of the Swallowing Sky Bear behind Li Qingming, as a murky Evil Qi spread across the entire sky.
Li Qingming’s eyes flickered as his right hand ford complex Seal Formations, pointing at the space in front of him.
“Roar!”
Anomaly erupted!
The shadow of the bear roared towards the heavens, unabashedly releasing endless ferocity. The starless night sky twisted, overwheld by an aura belonging to the Primordial.
The forces of Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind around began to change into a myriad of colors, swirling into a vast vortex with the sound of thunder, centered around Li Qingming, rotating rapidly and forming a trendous surge of Primordial Spiritual Power.
“Swallowing Heaven!” Li Qingming’s voice was calm as water.
The Primordial Spiritual Power, following the huge maw of the bear’s shadow, poured down. The shadow grew fainter and fainter until, when all the Primordial Spiritual Power vanished, so too did the bear’s form, disappearing from this space.
All were dumbfounded at Li Qingming, their minds montarily seized.
And just as Li Qingming was prepared to teach Zhunti and Jieyin a lasting lesson, the young monk who ca with Zhunti suddenly sat down in distress, his body radiating a majestic Buddha’s light. He looked up to the sky and howled, “May I endure the harshest sufferings for all beings in the countless eons to co, setting up convenient ways for them to achieve liberation.
“From this day forward, before the image of Pure Lotus Eye Tathagata, throughout hundreds of thousands of millions of eons, I vow to relieve every single being suffering in Hell and the Three Evil Paths, resolving to liberate them from the tornts of Hell, beasthood, evil ghosts, and such.
“To ensure that all who bear such karmic retribution achieve Buddhahood, only then shall I attain True Enlightennt, and only when all beings are saved will I achieve Bodhi. If Hell is not empty, I vow not to beco a Buddha!”
