Chapter 36: 2nd Year

Ti has passed.

“Second year…”

Razé had beco a 2nd Year student of Centrior Imperial Magical Academy.

The 3rd Year students had graduated and went on their chosen career path. The newly enrolled 1st Year student had brought with them a new fresh feeling. Razé and Folia had moved to Alisa and Mary’s room. Their original room was currently occupied by new juniors. This ti, it was their turn to look after the new girls.

Razé had lost a little weight again during the long winter holidays, but she knew that she would gain the weight again after eating the delicious als at the school.

Carna and Folia had asked her out during the holiday, but she had turned them down again. She was determined to join them on their next holiday by whatever ans necessary.

Carna: “Razé!”

Razé: “Carna-sama. Good morning.”

Razé was reading a book in the classroom while sitting at the sa seat as last year. Carna walked up to her with an excited look on her face. “Look at this. I thought maybe we could hold a school festival this year.”

Razé looked at the ‘Centrior School Festival Plan’ booklet given to her. It seed that Carna wanted to hold the school festival just like the plot in the oto ga. The previous Carna would definitely avoid this plan because she was scared of her tragic ending. But the current Carna just wanted to fully enjoy her youth with Prince Ruben.

Razé: “Sounds fun.”

Carna: “Isn’t it? Then, would you do a favor? Can you be a mber of the School Festival Steering Committee?”

Razé: “Huh?”

Carna: “I’d be more reassured if you can help because you have the mory from the previous life too. Can you help ?”

Looking at Carna glancing up at her cutely, Razé was unable to reject her request. “Sure. I’m glad to help you.” She accepted it without any hesitation.

* * *

Carna: “Thank you everyone for helping out with the school festival planning this year.”

Except for Razé, the mbers of the Steering Committee were consisted of the main characters from the oto ga. They used an empty classroom as their workspace and began planning for the festival that would be held in the incoming autumn.

It was their first ti holding a school festival so there might be so flaws but they hoped they could learn sothing from the experience.

The school festival arc…There must be event waiting to happen.

Razé listened to the schedule discussion while worrying about the other ‘event’.

First of all, they needed to explain the concept of school festival to the students. If they couldn’t picture it, then the planning could not make any progress.

Carna: “That’s why I’m going to make an image video of the school festival.”

Razé felt deep respect towards Carna for having the courage to try to do such a thing in this world. She knew that it would be easy if they use the battle simulation machine in the military, but there was no way that she could tell them about it.

She thought she would wait and see what they would do, when Luca suddenly raised his hand. “I think we can do it with my magic.”

As expected from a golden egg[1]. Razé was surprised that they could manage it on their own.

Carna: “Thank you, Luca! I will create the content with Razé. Is it okay, Razé?”

Razé: “Yes.”

Although Razé also had the mory of her previous life, to her it was just a mory and she didn’t experience it herself. She was a little worried. But when she looked at the highly motivated Carna, she felt perhaps it would work out sohow.

And so, the arc for school festival had begun.

[1] 金の卵(lit. golden egg) ans youth with promising future. This phrase will co up many tis in future chapters and they will ntion about breaking/hatching eggs, so I’ll use the literal aning. I know it sounds funny, but you’ll get used to it (…or maybe not). ↩
