Ti seed to reverse. Hei Yun felt as though she had returned to the day when the Emperor of Great Yan had held a farewell banquet for her.

The Emperor of Great Yan had not done anything scandalous during the palace banquet.

She then gestured to the soldiers under her command: “Hang her body on the city gate. Let those shaless people of Jin Kingdom see what happens when they oppose Great Yan.”

Bai Tingting’s gaze drifted toward the horizon: “I wonder if the General has succeeded?”
Jin Kingdom’s Emperor was not the only one who had thought of burning the grain stores; their own Military Strategist had as well.
But the map given to the enemy was a fake. Tonight, they were not at the granary but at the General’s main tent.
The Military Strategist led them in a siege formation, hidden in various tents.
As soon as the Jin Kingdom forces tried to set fire, the Military Strategist struck the bronze gong.
To completely capture the Jin Kingdom raid, General Shi and the Military Strategist had planned for half a month. As long as they followed the plan, nothing could go wrong.
These n were trapped like birds with clipped wings.
While the Jin Kingdom forces attacked, General Shi led his n to the Jin Kingdom’s encampnt.

A rustling sound ca from the grass on the roadside. Shi Ruojun poked out half her head, her face sared with green dye, her clothes blending seamlessly with the night.

Then, with a nod, both climbed their respective watchtowers and swiftly slit the guards’ throats with daggers.
Great Yan soldiers imdiately climbed up to replace Shi Ruojun and Deputy General Hao.
A thirty-man team, killing every single patrol they encountered.
Showing rcy to the enemy is a cruelty to oneself.
The empty tents were piled high with Jin Kingdom soldiers’ bodies. Shi Ruojun donned their armor and lit a firebrand: “Deputy General Hao, I will burn the grain stores; you burn their armory. Rember, to avoid getting hurt, start the fire from the outer periter, then run. Don’t wait for ; we’ll rendezvous at the main tent.”
Here, the “main tent” refers not to Jin Kingdom’s Emperor but Great Yan’s military camp, Shi Ruojun’s main tent.
“Understood, sir!”
Deputy General Hao raised his torch along with a few subordinates, disguised as patroln, and walked out at a steady pace.
Shi Ruojun, too, led a few soldiers in the opposite direction.
“Ah—”
During the nightly shift change, one Jin Kingdom soldier yawned and stretched.
Suddenly, he spotted sothing terrifying, his eyes widening in shock.
Outside his tent, there seed to be… a lot of bloodstains?
The tallic sll was overpowering, drifting from the tent and making him nauseous.
His trembling hand lifted the tent flap, and what he saw inside made him collapse in fright: “There… there… there… Ugh!”
In his mont of extre shock, he couldn’t form a word. In the blink of an eye, soone slashed his neck artery with a long, deep cut.
Before he could see his assailant, the soldier collapsed into the tent.
The two Great Yan soldiers stationed at the rear exchanged a grin and crouched back into their hiding spots.
The General had said, if Jin Kingdom soldiers co one, kill one; co two, kill a pair. It’s also revenge for our brothers and sisters who died in Great Yan.
“Boom—”
“Ah!”
Deputy General Hao saw flas rising from the grain store direction and shouted loudly, “Oh no! The armory is on fire! Everyone, run!”
He had to draw the Jin Kingdom’s attention to his location so that General Shi could escape swiftly.
“The armory… the armory is burning!”
“What?! There are explosives inside!”
“Run! Hurry and tell His Majesty to flee!”
