"Are you a human or a ghost?" Liang Tianhe hastily took a step back; he clearly saw that the dagger had been plunged into Ye Ming’s neck, but Ye Ming was acting as if nothing had happened.

Ye Ming didn’t answer his question but instead looked at him with a cold smile, "You’ve ultimately chosen the most painful way to die!"

"I gave you a chance, but you were useless, so don’t bla for what cos next."

With a whoosh, Ye Ming pulled the dagger from his neck, and then in an instant, stabbed it into Liang Tianhe’s thigh.

Liang Tianhe let out a pained scream.

Yet Ye Ming didn’t stop his movents, striking again as he stabbed Liang Tianhe in the abdon.

With a squelching sound, Liang Tianhe’s Dantian shattered, and the cultivation he had amassed over more than forty years turned to ashes in that mont.

"Ye Ming, if you dare kill ... I won’t let you go," Liang Tianhe scread in agony.

Ye Ming looked at him indifferently and asked, "What right do you have to say that now?"

No sooner had the words left his mouth than another knife pierced Liang Tianhe’s chest.

Liang Tianhe didn’t die instantly but instead experienced the gradual dissipation of his life’s essence, feeling his body temperature drop bit by bit.

As Ye Ming made his move, he injected a stream of Inner True Qi into Liang Tianhe, giving him a final, minor punishnt before death.

Liang Tianhe’s eyes, bloodshot, widened in unwillingness to accept his fate as he inched towards life’s end and finally closed his eyes.

After finishing all this, Ye Ming breathed a sigh of relief.

As he let out that breath, a stream of fresh blood imdiately spurted from the corner of Ye Ming’s mouth.

Lin ngdie quickly stepped forward to check on him, asking anxiously, "How are you?"

Ye Ming shook his head, indicating he was alright.

He took out the Spirit Spring Water he carried with him and took another gulp.

After many battles, Ye Ming’s Inner True Qi was greatly depleted. Along with the added toll from his wounds, his body finally began to give way.

All these hidden dangers were triggered the mont he relaxed, causing him intense pain.

After all, he wasn’t invincible yet; his injuries could claim his life at any mont.

Under the influence of the Spirit Spring Water, his external injuries healed quickly, but his internal injuries still needed ti and breath regulation to recover.

He closed his eyes and circulated the Sky-shattering Stone Technique, channeling the True Qi rapidly through his body’s ridians, and in the shortest amount of ti, he was mostly recovered.

By the ti he opened his eyes, the sky had completely darkened.

Everything around was pitch black, without a glimr of light, and he could barely make out the surroundings.

Throughout his entire ditative recovery, Lin ngdie sat silently by his side, stirring a strange feeling in Ye Ming’s heart.

Lin ngdie felt similarly; she enjoyed the feeling of being next to Ye Ming, a sense of security she had never experienced before swept through her body, making her not want to leave.

She even felt an impulse to keep going on like this forever.

"It’s already dark, and with this desolate wilderness, there might be wild animals roaming. We should find a shelter first," Ye Ming suggested.

At the ntion of wild animals, Lin ngdie imdiately curled up at Ye Ming’s side, her small hand tightly clinging to him, not daring to let go for even a second.

Although she was not weak, it was in her nature as a girl to react this way. Furthermore, it was nightti, and fear had completely taken over her heart.

They walked for who knows how long, and finally, after half an hour, the two found an abandoned old house in the countryside.

Ye Ming lit a fire, and they both sat down beside it to rest and recuperate.

Lin ngdie looked around cautiously and asked Ye Ming, "Do you think there could be ghosts here? I have a feeling it’s a bit eerie."

Ye Ming simply smiled and said, "As long as you don’t let your imagination run wild, there won’t be any ghosts. Besides, even if ghosts are frightening, could they be worse than the human heart?"

"That kind of makes sense!" Lin ngdie nodded, inadvertently leaning against Ye Ming’s legs, and watched the bonfire in a daze, eventually falling asleep.

Ye Ming didn’t notice either; after a whole day of combat, he too was tired and began to close his eyes to rest.

The two of them maintained their positions and fell asleep just like that.

After an uncertain amount of ti, a series of urgent cellphone ringtones woke Ye Ming up.

He checked his phone and saw it was a video call from Xu Lele.

Ye Ming glanced at Lin ngdie, who was lying on his thigh, and originally wanted to reject the video call, but seeing that she was sleeping soundly, he decided to accept the call.

The screen imdiately displayed Xu Lele’s handso face.

She looked at Ye Ming with a teasing smile and asked, "Ye Ming, what are you doing? Why can’t I see you?"

Ye Ming gave an awkward smile and said, "I’ve just finished attending a dicinal herb conference, and the lighting here isn’t too good; I haven’t found a place to stay yet."

Xu Lele nodded and didn’t show any suspicion; instead, she asked, "We haven’t seen each other for many days, do you miss ?"

Without a second thought, Ye Ming said, "Of course."

No sooner had the words left his mouth than Ye Ming suddenly felt sothing was off. He looked down and saw that Lin ngdie had sohow awakened and was glaring at him with wide eyes.

Fortunately, under the dim light inside the house, the phone’s cara had not captured her.

However, their posture was sowhat intimate.

"Ye Ming, what’s going on over there?" Xu Lele noticed Ye Ming looking around and found it strange.

Ye Ming laughed off and quickly explained, "It’s nothing, just saw a mouse scurry by and took an extra look."

"By the way Le Le, I might be busy with so things recently and can’t return right away, so I won’t be able to see you imdiately."

To avoid Xu Lele growing more suspicious, Ye Ming swiftly changed the subject to sothing else.

Lin ngdie had a sullen look on her face, pretended to silently curse a couple tis, and then turned her head away.

In the video, Xu Lele smiled and said, "That’s okay, you should take care of your business; I can’t tie you down by my side! I won’t cling to you."

"I’ll be good and wait for you to co ho!"

Ye Ming, touched, smiled warmly and said in his heart, "Le Le, you’re so gentle."

"You two are really nauseating!" The tender mont was abruptly disrupted by the appearance of Xia Ningning.

She ca into view of the cara and said disdainfully, "You just take care of yourself; don’t go flirting around. Le Le has for company; she won’t be lonely."

Her offhand remark made Ye Ming’s face turn red as if he had been caught doing sothing wrong.

Because at the sa ti as the video call, there was a woman lying on his thigh.

Seeing Ye Ming’s unnatural expression, Xia Ningning imdiately beca suspicious, staring at him as if he were a thief and asked, "Why do you have that expression on your face? You didn’t do sothing reckless and now can’t shake it off, did you?"
