“So protective of your food?”

Pei Chiyao’s large hand went right through Zhi Yao’s soft, round little belly, picking up the little fox whole.

"Look at your paws, dirty as can be." His long fingers took a wet wipe and gently cleaned the little fox's paws.

Older Brother Sun watching on the side was dumbfounded. No one knew better than him how severe Pei Chiyao's obsession with cleanliness was.

But...but he had just wiped Zhi Yao's paws himself?! Those filthy paws!

Zhi Yao whimpered as Pei Chiyao wiped her fur.

After all that, it was already noon.

Pei Chiyao had finished filming his scenes for the day. He still had things to do in the afternoon, so he prepared to leave first.

Only after witnessing the director bowing and scraping to send Pei Chiyao off did Zhi Yao have to accept one fact.

Pei Chiyao's background was truly powerful!

She might have...really caught an exceptionally thick golden thigh.

Thinking of her own actions this morning, Zhi Yao felt sowhat afraid in hindsight.

Her gold eyes fixed closely on Pei Chiyao, unblinking.

Pei Chiyao put down the computer in his hand. Curling his index finger, he lightly tapped Zhi Yao’s forehead. "If you drip saliva on , I'll throw you out imdiately."

Zhi Yao: "!@#¥#@!"

She would never!!!

"I don't know who it was earlier with saliva all over the floor."

Zhi Yao: "......" Damn! No way to play nicely anymore!

She huffed angrily and turned her head away, not wanting to even glance at Pei Chiyao.

"Alright, we're here."

But before her temper could last, the next second she was picked up by Pei Chiyao again.

Zhi Yao discovered that ever since she had turned into a fox and t Pei Chiyao, her four legs had never once touched the ground.

Going wherever while being carried.

It felt pretty nice.

The little one curled up in Pei Chiyao's arms, curiously taking in everything around her.

This place...seed very strange.

The surrounding doors were like those carved wooden doors you'd only see in ancient costu dramas.

The street was also empty. Clearly it was broad daylight, the sun blazing hot, yet not a soul passed by here.

Eerie.

Why would Pei Chiyao co to a place like this?

She propped her two front paws on Pei Chiyao's arm, looking around curiously.

Suddenly, Pei Chiyao stopped in front of a storefront.

Calling it a store was not quite right either, because there was no signboard above it.

"Young Master, this is the place."

Abruptly, a voice Zhi Yao had never heard before sounded from behind them, giving her a shock.

Zhi Yao was slightly stunned, only then realizing the person driving them here was not Older Brother Sun, but a man in black clothes she had never seen before!

What was Pei Chiyao trying to do?

Pei Chiyao nodded slightly. "You wait outside."

"Yes."

Carrying the little fox in his arms, he walked into the store that looked ancient and dilapidated.

Even after going inside, it remained dark. But only then did Zhi Yao finally know what kind of shop this was.

Turns out...it sold antique jade ware?

But being so creepy, it seed sowhat too scary...She felt like the items here weren't anything legit.

"The esteed young master Pei graces my humble shop, it is truly an honor and joy!"

Suddenly, an elderly-sounding voice rang out behind them, startling Zhi Yao badly.

Pei Chiyao completely ignored that person. He lowered his eyes, patting Zhi Yao's back comfortingly. Only then did the little one in his arms finally settle down.

The antique shop owner didn't mind Pei Chiyao's attitude either. He slowly approached Pei Chiyao, and only then noticed the little fox in his arms.

It was a snow white fox. Its face wasn't as sharp as other foxes, but rather round and chubby. Its gold eyes were extrely spirited, peering at him curiously.

One could tell this was a fox of superb quality.

"What a beautiful little fox!"

The antique shop owner sincerely exclaid, "I wonder how much Young Master Pei spent to buy this little fox?"

Pei Chiyao said coldly, "Picked it up."

Antique shop owner: "?"

"Enough nonsense. Do you have the goods?"

He raised his hand and slapped a check down on the table. The owner picked up the check. Upon seeing the amount, he was overjoyed and quickly said, "I'll bring it out right away!"

"Hmm hmm?" Zhi Yao looked at the antique shop owner's departing figure curiously, then looked at Pei Chiyao again. The confusion in her gold eyes was obvious.

"A very curious little thing. This is none of your business." Pei Chiyao rubbed the little fox's head.

Her fur was exceptionally smooth and soft. It always reminded him of the silky skin he had touched that day.

He couldn't help narrowing his eyes.

Since Pei Chiyao didn't want to say, Zhi Yao was too lazy to pester him. With a leap, she jumped out of Pei Chiyao's arms onto the glass display case.

Underneath were many jade articles and jewelry that looked sowhat old.

She was engrossed in looking when a piece of erald green jade pendant suddenly caught Zhi Yao's eyes.

Why...did it look so familiar?

The little one lowered her head, moving even closer to the jade pendant, but her nose touched only the cool glass display case.

Suddenly! Her golden eyes contracted into thin vertical lines.

My god!

This jade pendant was...

"Hmm hmm hmm!!!"

She hurriedly looked at Pei Chiyao.

For the first ti, Zhi Yao hated that she couldn't speak.

This was her jade pendant! Hers!!!

It was given by soone from long ago, a very important item.

She forcefully patted the glass with her paws. The antique shop owner who had just walked out saw this scene and was scared out of his wits.

"Can't hit it like that!" He had painstakingly collected all these from everywhere! His heart would ache if any piece got damaged.

Pei Chiyao, who had been looking around, finally noticed Zhi Yao's abnormal behavior.

"What's wrong?"
