Extra (One)

Ever since the incident that frightened everyone passed, Han Zixuan couldn’t quite tell if life now was good or bad.

Waking from another nightmare, Han Zixuan, unable to fall back asleep, got up to make breakfast for his wife, Huo Wei.

According to Huo Wei’s demands, the food had to be diverse, plentiful, and full of color, aroma, and taste.

The sky was barely light outside, and the courtyard was silent, with other families still deeply asleep.

It’s no wonder they slept deeply, anyone doing heavy labor every day would feel exhausted.

They were still acting; Huo Wei had said that if they were going to act, they had to be fully committed, embodying the people of this era accurately.

So neither the program group nor the Alliance would provide them with material supplies anymore.

Each of them, just like the roles they were playing, had to work to earn food.

Farming, weaving, working...

So people had protested, but the authorities were adamant that they had to comply or they could forget about returning to the interstellar forever.

Han Zixuan hoped that everyone here would unite; the program group surely wouldn’t just watch them starve to death.

However, no matter how he tried to persuade these people, the re wish to return to the interstellar made most choose to compromise.

What else could he do? He could only continue playing as the male lead.

However, Han Zixuan couldn’t understand why, knowing the truth, Huo Wei could still calmly pretend ignorance and continue to act out the pre-set plot.

Yet, even though he didn’t understand, it didn’t stop him from being under her control now.

Because of his two biological children, even if he wanted to drop his responsibilities, he dared not. He could only strive to maintain his deep and affectionate persona.

As the sky lightened, a table full of sumptuous breakfast was ready.

Huo Wei lazily sat at the dining table and pointed towards the room, instructing, "The children should be awake, go and help them get up."

Without taking a breath, Han Zixuan bustled around again.

Currently living with them were not the twins Su Li had once seen, but the original owner’s biological children.

Children Han Zixuan carelessly sent to the youth nursing ho.

Han Zixuan was unwilling to acknowledge these children as his own, yet Su Li insisted he shower them with all his fatherly love.

Even if it’s fake, she wanted him to keep pretending.

Three- or four-year-old children were already sensible. Although their father took care of all their needs, they naturally felt closer to their mother.

After another spell of busy work, by the ti the children were washed and seated at the table, Su Li had already finished most of the breakfast.

Two bowls of egg custard and two bowls of noodles were pushed in front of the children by Su Li, "Eat quickly, or the noodles will get mushy."

Han Zixuan only had a pitiful small bowl of thin porridge for breakfast.

A good husband and father must not allow his wife and children to suffer, even if he himself goes without.

Surely Han Zixuan understood this.

The little darlings were sowhat filial, glancing at the noodles and egg custard before them, then at Han Zixuan’s portion, and imdiately said in a childish voice, "Daddy, you can have mine..."

Saying this, a suspicious line of drool escaped, making Su Li’s heart lt.

She softened her expression and, ahead of Han Zixuan, said, "Daddy has already eaten, all this is prepared for the babies."

Han Zixuan really wanted to take the bowls from the children; even if it ant being mocked for snatching food from kids, it was better than going hungry.

But he dared not; Huo Wei’s smiling gaze was too frightening.

He couldn’t understand how he was ever bold enough to look the Demon King in the eyes and speak sweet words while holding her.

Thinking about it now, he was amazed at his audacity and had even toyed with the terrifying idea of killing her.

Little children couldn’t differentiate the adults’ feigned actions; hearing what their mother said, they genuinely believed their father had already eaten.

Cheerfully, they devoured all their breakfast.

After breakfast, the mother and children relaxed leisurely on the lounge chair, watching the busy yard as people started their day’s work.

Huo Wei was truly blessed, naturally standing out from the rest.

After Han Zixuan finished the chores on an empty stomach, under Su Li’s urging, he went out to earn money.

These days were really hard, and Han Zixuan had lived this difficult life for ten years.

His originally handso face had aged from toil, with gray streaks appearing in his hair.

His broad hands completely transford into the rough hands typical of the working class.

When he was taken out of the virtual base by the program group, he stood bewildered for quite so ti.

His colleagues beside him, with sallow faces, felt the sa way...

Their lives hadn’t been any better; the constant worries of survival almost made them forget they were just acting... Ten years of closed living made them lose themselves.

Seeing the familiar tallic style everywhere, it felt like a lifeti ago. They suddenly rembered, this was their original life.

The program group said they were lucky because Huo Wei, the protagonist of this world, got bored, allowing them to finish early. Otherwise, they might have had to endure twenty, fifty, or even more years of such life...

The nightmare finally ended, but even holding the substantial compensation from the program group and the Alliance didn’t alleviate the significant psychological trauma Han Zixuan experienced.

He was horrified to discover that the days of servitude to Huo Wei really cultivated a servile nature within him.

Even towards the children he originally treated with false affection, he developed a genuine fatherly feeling.

The irony was, those children, now in their teens, treated him with cold indifference, and his biological children felt no deep bond due to his prolonged absence.

Extra (Two)

Huo Xiaopang felt his life had suffered a major blow, but his sister was right; at least before the truth was revealed, they enjoyed ten years of a father’s love, even if it was all forced.

But until then, they always felt they were the luckiest children in the world.

Parental love, their father deeply in love with their mother, no understanding could give children more security than this.

Then suddenly soone told them, it was all fake.

But their mother taught them well, and after learning the truth, he and his sister remained silent for a few days, and then quickly accepted it.

Thinking back now, it wasn’t all without clues.

They had early mories, blurry, but they rembered things from before they were two or three years old. Even though their father treated them well, they always felt closer to their mother.

There was so sadness, but not too much. Besides, the interstellar is quite fascinating, with many interesting things.

It’s just that their father has another pair of children, who seed annoying, always promoting concepts like lower-class and upper-class people.

When he grows up, he will make sure such rhetoric disappears entirely.
