Su Li also laughed, "Suddenly I feel a big appetite; what you prepared in the morning, actually... I’m still not full."
Han Zixuan: "...."
Su Li pretended not to see Han Zixuan’s ghostly expression and mused, "Zixuan, the dicine you brought back is really effective; I feel full of endless energy."
"It still has such effects... that’s impossible."
Han Zixuan was montarily speechless, but quickly snapped back.
It was clear he was working hard to maintain his persona.
Su Li replied displeased, "How would you know what effects it has, you haven’t even drunk it."
"Besides, I think you were wrong before; these dicines not only have no side effects, but the effect is actually fantastic."
Han Zixuan, puzzled, instinctively asked, "How do you know there are no side effects..."
"That’s because I drank them." Su Li gestured with her hand, pointing to the cabinet, "I drank all the dicine in the cabinet... to the last drop."
After speaking, Su Li mischievously smiled at Han Zixuan.
Damn her mischief, Han Zixuan’s entire head was buzzing loudly now.
In disbelief, he asked again, "What did you just say? You drank all of it?"
Su Li disdained his self-deception, stepped forward, and directly unlocked the cabinet, pulling out test tubes that had turned transparent.
"I drank it all, and the effect is really good. Even breakfast could be heartier... Zixuan, please help get so more, drink a couple more tis, and my body will surely recover its health."
Han Zixuan’s gaze moved from the pried-open copper lock to the empty test tube in Su Li’s hand, then to her pretty face.
His palms itched, showing a strong urge to smack that pretty face.
Han Zixuan’s predatory gaze was a bit terrifying.
His voice, suddenly louder and no longer gentle, said, "Who gave you permission to drink all of them? Do you think this is so common mainland product that’s easy to get?"
Su Li wasn’t intimidated at all, raised her voice even higher, and frowned, "Weren’t these sothing you specially sought for ? How co now that I’m feeling much better, you’re not happy?"
"You’re acting strange today..."
Han Zixuan quickly cald down. He had a good excuse in mind for his lapse, but Su Li beat him to his lines.
Han Zixuan’s lips moved, wanting to speak. But Su Li didn’t give him the chance, instead saying with a deadpan expression, "You don’t love anymore."
"No, it’s not that, I just...."
"I feel like you don’t love anymore."
"No, I an..."
"You don’t love anymore."
Han Zixuan wanted to go crazy, yet seed to worry about sothing, forced a smile, and quickly said, resignedly, "I love you, I really do... I was wrong about earlier, I was just too worried about you."
"Okay, I’ll figure out a way to purchase another batch of dicine."
After Han Zixuan spoke, fearing Su Li would say more startling things, he turned and hurriedly ran out, as if fleeing in panic.
"I’ll go next door to see if they have anything to eat."
"Rember to buy more groceries next ti; I feel like we might not have enough to eat in the future..."
Su Li watched with satisfaction as Han Zixuan’s urgent pace suddenly stumbled, laughing loudly and gleefully.
What Han Zixuan didn’t know was that he had a little tail following him.
Not long after, an angry male voice reached Su Li’s ears.
She raised an eyebrow and continued to listen, inwardly comnting: Who knew, Han Zixuan does have quite a temper.
Aside from the angry curses, there was also a series of clattering sounds.
"I’m so angry, I’m so mad... Doesn’t she know how rare the dicine is? Even diluted a hundred tis, it’s very precious, just given away like that to a low-level person, it’s simply..."
"Huo Wei doesn’t know the dicine’s preciousness from the start." That was Yu Zhenzhen’s voice.
Han Zixuan was choked by Yu Zhenzhen’s words and grew even angrier.
Of course, this anger was only towards his wife, Huo Wei.
"Stop being resentful, it’s what the higher-ups demanded. No matter how unwilling, you can’t defy it. We must ensure her damaged body returns to health; if she really kicks the bucket, our huge initial investnt will go down the drain, and we’d all suffer for it."
Oh wow, look at what she heard, these people are part of an organization.
But what exactly is the investnt they made in the original owner? They’re so concerned about them.
The two continued to mumble to each other, and Yu Zhenzhen suddenly reminded, "There’s news soone raised concerns, saying we’ve been eating too well, utterly not fitting our identity; so the extra supply will be discontinued."
"But you don’t have to worry, nothing will change on Huo Wei’s side, only for us."
Yu Zhenzhen sounded quite irked too, with sparks of anger in her words.
Besides these things, Yu Zhenzhen and Han Zixuan didn’t say anything else aningful.
But Su Li’s mind was a snowball of puzzles, growing bigger.
She feels there’s a massive conspiracy surrounding the original owner.
The more she thought, the original owner had never had the mind to ponder or doubt it. But when thoroughly considered, many matters had an odd taste.
The original owner lost her mother at three and her father at ten. Impressions showed their relationship with the original owner’s parents wasn’t too close; caring for her seed a re duty, not genuine emotions.
And Huo Wei’s ho in Huo Family Village was a place where their father and predecessors had taken root for over a century.
All mbers with the Huo surna in Huo Family Village were related, but when Huo Wei was young, aside from her biological parents, she had no particularly close kin.
According to Huo Wei’s father, her grandparents, uncles, and aunts passed away long ago.
While that has so probability, when linked with current events, it becos a bit eerie.
This plot feels like the tragic little white flower heroine striving for a happy life scenario.
The more Su Li thought about it, the more it seed like that.
According to the original owner’s life trajectory, she was a sure protagonist in a romance novel.
And Han Zixuan was the pampering husband protagonist, with a series of supporting actresses to fill out the simple storyline.
--------------
When Han Zixuan returned again, Su Li figured he had cald the internal injuries she caused with her anger.
Because he now looked like the world’s best loving husband once more.
"You’re back just in ti, I’ve already packed, you clean up too, and we’ll head out."
