The people in the sa circle, Qi ersheng knew their true colors very well.

He stiffened his resolve and made calls one by one, promising great benefits and assuring that he just needed to borrow so funds to tide things over, but still, nobody was willing to lend a hand.

Each one had nothing more than superficial friendships, and worse still, so continually took the opportunity to inquire whether the Qi Family had run into so trouble.

Were they thinking of kicking soone while they were down, planning a robbery under the guise of chaos to see if they could bite off a chunk of the Qi Family?

It was his own greed that had led him into the trap that had been set deliberately without him knowing it.

Now he had co to understand, as long as he had the system in his control, why worry about not being able to make a move?

This lesson had not affected Qi ersheng’s confidence, it had only made him more cautious; the impetuosity fueled by rebirth and serendipitous encounters finally settled down completely.

If it weren’t for Su Li causing trouble that drew the attention of people above him, this experience might even have been beneficial for him.

The failure would polish him smoother and the frustrations encountered would make his resolve stronger.

But there were no ifs...

Aside from those fair-weather friends, Qi ersheng could not think of anyone else who could help.

This was when the benefits of relatives by marriage ca into play.

If his girlfriend, An Ran, had been a Lady from the sa circle and her partner faced difficulties, both emotion and logic dictated that she should help.

But now, as he found himself completely at a loss and filled with anxiety, An Ran could do nothing but offer gentle comfort with soft, soothing words and at most silently handle so trivial matters.

Those small details that used to make him feel comfortable and happy now only added to his irritability.

Was this what he needed? No, he needed real, tangible help.

A full ten billion! Not just a few hundred or thousand million, but a ten-billion deficit. Even if he put aside his pride and laid out his difficulties to his parents, whom he had manipulated for power, and accounted for all the movable funds, it was still re drops in the bucket, far from enough.

Having no other choice, Qi ersheng couldn’t help but think of Miss Chen of the Chen Family, Chen Yuanyuan, with whom he had a fleeting marital tie.

After learning of her true status, he had still kept a hidden ace.

Their intimate monts were all secretly recorded by him.

Of course, at the ti it was just for fun, and even now, he had never thought of showing them to anyone.

However, there’s always a "what if" in every scenario, should he beco desperate...

After hurriedly packing, Qi ersheng had his assistant book him a flight to the Capital City.

He planned to have a romantic encounter with that lovely lady.

While the other directors and shareholders had not yet noticed the anomaly in the company, he urgently sought to fill the gap.

Qi ersheng would never know that this trip to the Capital City was a one-way journey – a self-entrapping move.

The special personnel arranged to bring him back hadn’t even started to move, and here was Qi ersheng presenting himself on their doorstep, saving the nation considerable manpower and resources.

It was unknown what other complications might arise if he refused to comply or resisted violently.

For example, he might take drastic asures like blowing his own cover or possessing so other unknown aggressive tactics.

The authorities did not want to see any of these scenarios; solving this quietly and peacefully couldn’t be better.

Qi ersheng was utterly clueless.

Upon arriving at Kyoto Airport and before he could even leave the terminal, he was taken by a few plainclothes agents to a room for examination.

Qi ersheng, frowning and impatient, said, "I’ve already said I’m not carrying any contraband. How much longer do you intend to check?"

Others in the room, apart from him, were very patient, not taking Qi ersheng’s hostility to heart and continued with a smile, reassuringly saying, "Sir, please wait a mont more, once we confirm, you can leave."

"How much longer?"

Qi ersheng couldn’t help but lift his wrist to look at his gold watch, "I’m giving you five more minutes, otherwise you’ll be speaking with my lawyer."

"Don’t worry, it won’t take five more minutes." Along with these carefree words, the door was pushed open, and a non-mainstream man with a head of white hair and laden with jangling jewelry appeared.

"Who are you?" Qi ersheng asked instinctively.

The presence of soone like this felt out of place here.

His hip-hop attire stood starkly out among those dressed in formal, tailored suits.

The non-mainstream man, his eyes narrowed with finely drawn black eyeliner, burst out in an extre laugh, "Interesting, so interesting."

As he spoke, no one noticed how the syringe in his hand had appeared.

The syringe was filled with a green liquid, and as he approached, the needle moved closer to Qi ersheng.

Qi ersheng reacted too late to the impending danger, his face filled with horror, and he backed away several steps, shouting, "What are you doing?"

His retreat was fast, but the non-mainstream man was faster.

Just as the last word left Qi ersheng’s mouth, the man moved closer, and the needle pierced the skin on Qi ersheng’s neck.

With a strong push, the liquid in the syringe was quickly administered into Qi ersheng’s body.

Soon, Qi ersheng felt dizzy, then his consciousness blurred, and he collapsed to the ground with a loud thud.

Everything happened within seconds.

The other plainclothes agents in the room had moved back to the corner when the non-mainstream man entered, pretending not to see his actions.

Looking closely, one could vaguely see the apprehension in these agents’ eyes toward the newcor.

The empty syringe still stuck in Qi ersheng’s neck, the non-mainstream man did not imdiately remove it, but instead circled the fallen body with interest like observing a precious specin.

No one dared to guess or ask what he was thinking.

Seeing his increasingly eerie and terrifying smile, one of the plainclothes mustered the courage to say, "Doctor Z, he is not an experint, the authorities only asked for his cooperation in your research, that... can’t be used on him..."

Under Doctor Z’s increasingly chilling gaze, the speaking agent dared not say another word for fear of attracting the attention of this madman.

It turned out that this non-mainstream dressed man was actually a doctor.

But given the way others addressed him, without a na, just a possibly fake code na, his revealed madness was enough to make people keep their distance.

Who had the idea to let this madman co here?
