Chapter 142: Chapter 146: The Woman Who Married into a Wealthy Family (Part 6) Chapter 142: Chapter 146: The Woman Who Married into a Wealthy Family (Part 6) Su Li now despised pure and delicate won most of all, dressing as if they were victims, yet their actions were entirely nauseating.

She clearly rembered that Huayin had a childhood friend who grew up with her, seemingly the woman who was getting along famously with her brother Wen Yan.

There was also the woman who stole Zhang Li’s fiancé, apparently another of Huayin’s good senior classmates.

And Ye’s step-sister, who was a little wild model disturbing the peace of Wang Zhizhi’s family lineage, seed to be sowhat related to Huayin as well.

Birds of a feather flock together, huh?

They were all from the sa burrow, and even their actions were so despicable?

Su Li had gradually learned about these things after her previous incarnation was driven out of the Yuan Family and kept investigating Huayin.

“Let’s play a ga…” Su Li’s eyes glittered as she played with the liquid in the delicate crystal glass, “The circle has been so dull lately, how about we spice things up with sothing fresh?”

Not great.

What else could they do?

You’re the boss, what you say goes.

Wen Yan, however, still wanted to complain. Given Su Li’s previously domineering nature, which had now intensified, did they even have a say?

What happened to the sisters’ agreent about equality, about democracy? Had it been eaten by rats?

Although the group of sisters was reluctant, under Su Li’s tyranny, they still managed to frown and feign happiness, nodding in agreent.

The last thing they wanted was for this bitch to get involved in their family affairs, but they dared not resist.

Su Li drained the fruit juice in her crystal glass in one gulp and cheerfully ford an alliance with all the sisters, determined to stir up a storm in their circle.

“Don’t be afraid, sisters, give it all you’ve got, I’ve got your back. Think about it, I am the Madam Changsun of the Yuan Family.”

Su Li’s voice was tinged with mischief as she lowered it, “With cheering for you, what could you possibly be afraid to do?”

Wen Yan was quick on the uptake and caught the key point in the conversation, asking hesitantly, “Are you really willing to stand up for us…”

She didn’t complete her sentence, but the aningful exchange of glances between the two made the others catch on.

Su Li pretended to be annoyed and chided, “What are you talking about? We are sisters, and it is our unquestionable duty to go to great lengths for each other.”

Su Li watched as everyone in attendance was moved by her assurances, each lost in thought, then she didn’t bother with them anymore and picked another strawberry cake, leisurely indulging herself.

The title of the eldest granddaughter-in-law of the Yuan Family was still sowhat useful, good for intimidating people at least.

For the ti being, Su Li had no intention of falling out with Yuan Qiran.

But to not make trouble would be to let down all the suffering her previous incarnation had endured in the Yuan Family.

————————-

While Su Li was comfortably enjoying her high-quality life as a wife in a wealthy family, Huayin was in dire straits.

The shipnt of i Gui roses that were supposed to arrive that day had Huayin and the store’s staff waiting from morning until night, without seeing even a shadow of a rose petal.

Huayin walked back and forth in the shop, frantic.

“Sister, what should we do?”

With furrowed brows, Huayin clenched her fists, “Keep calling.”

“Sister, we’ve already made more than ten calls, they’re either constantly busy or they just hang up, clearly avoiding our calls.”

Huayin bit her lip, “Try calling one more ti…”

Needless to say, the shop assistant wore a troubled face, “Sister, it still won’t go through.”

“The event is tomorrow, and the venue specifically requires this particular rose for decoration. Even if the roses arrive now, we won’t have ti to prepare them.”

Huayin had always been timid by nature, and her life had flowed smoothly, with barely a ripple. Faced with such a sudden crisis, she found herself at a loss, unsure of what to do.

But as she saw the panic on the faces of the young employees, she realized that as the owner of the shop, and being much older than them, although she herself felt like crying, she had to hold strong and rack her brain for solutions.

Huayin had almost dialed that man’s number several tis, but whenever she thought of his identity, she bit her lip and put the phone down again.

She didn’t want to always rely on him, especially given the precarious nature of their relationship…

“Sis…”

Suppressing her sour and bitter emotions, Huayin steadied her nerves with effort, “Call the custors… ask them if they’re willing to accept a different variety of flowers, we can offer them so discount on the price.”

“You go and communicate with the custors, I’ll make a call.”

Huayin steadied her tone and dialed her best friend’s number.

The phone rang several tis before being answered, and before Huayin could speak, a woman’s voice, weary to the core, ca through.

Instantly, Huayin forgot what she had intended to ask and inquired anxiously, “Xue’er, what’s wrong with you? Your voice sounds so weak and powerless?”

“Are you sick?”

“Nothing, just so trouble recently…” The voice on the other end of the line said, and then towards the end, it turned into intermittent sobs.

“Xue’er, don’t scare , what happened to you? And Wen Hua, is he taking care of you like this?”

“He…” As soon as her boyfriend was ntioned, Xue’er’s cries grew louder.

“Ah Yin, Wen Hua wants to break up with .”

Huayin was shocked, “How can that be.”

She couldn’t believe it.

The relationship between them had always been exceptionally strong; Huayin could see the depth of Wen Hua’s affection for Xue’er in his eyes.

“I… I, I don’t know why it’s so sudden, he was just talking to about what flowers we would use at our wedding, what kind of wine…”

Xue’er’s pained voice on the phone resonated with Huayin, who felt deeply empathetic.

After crying for a while, Xue’er seed to have settled a little and asked with a sniff, “Ah Yin, why are you calling so late, is sothing wrong?”

Huayin didn’t want to say anything at first, it didn’t seem right at a ti like this with her best friend.

“Sis, the custors are not willing to change to a different variety of roses, they insist we follow the contract, or else they want us to compensate them for their losses.”

Huayin imdiately turned pale. Getting this custor had taken a lot of effort, and the contract she had signed was not in her favor. Breaching it would an a payout that was astronomical to her.

“Ah Yin, is there trouble with your business?”

After hesitating for a mont, Huayin admitted, “The supplier you introduced to , I can’t get in touch with him. The batch of roses that I urgently ordered from him isn’t going to be supplied, and I need them for a venue right away…”

Xue’er was aware of that order; it could be said that Huayin had landed this deal with her help, or more precisely, with the influence of the Wen Family, since she was the girlfriend of the Wen Family’s CEO.

“I’ll go find Wen Hua.”

With that, the line went dead.

Huayin was completely clueless, only able to dial the supplier’s number over and over, tears not far from spilling.

In the middle of the night, Su Li was sleeping soundly when she was awakened by a persistent ringtone.

Squinting at the clock, it was two in the morning.

Annoyed, she covered her head with the blanket to continue sleeping.

Yet the phone was relentless, ringing non-stop.

Suddenly sitting up with irritation, Su Li pressed the phone, “You have one minute. If it’s not important, I’ll skin you alive.”
