Not long after, a series of footsteps sounded outside the door, with Lan Tian’s sycophantic voice mixed in.
Su Li intentionally shifted her position further into the corner.
The green plants next to her left hand and the curtains covered half of her body, making her quite easy to overlook if not looking closely.
Director Huang and Mr. Chen walked in front, Lan Tian was half a step behind them, conversing and laughing; their words ca with subtle hints, confirming tonight’s the, being well aware of what would happen next.
