Yue Nu had a mont of disbelief, followed by a surge of anger, seemingly not expecting Su Li to suddenly lash out.

To be precise, she had never taken the noble princess seriously.

This made things sowhat amusing.

Why would an ordinary dical woman from the Imperial dical Bureau have such an attitude?

Su Li thought playfully, watching with interest the various amusing expressions flickering on Yue Nu’s face.

She was trying hard to restrain herself, looking like she was about to give in, but after a deep breath, she cald down, lowered her eyes, and unwillingly half-squatted to pay her respects, "I had no intention of offending the noble princess, it was just too hasty, after all... the golden silk is a royal reward, and I treasure it too much...."

Su Li: "Oh, kneel down, who told you to get up."

Having found no useful information from Yue Nu, Su Li felt a bit disappointed.

In her disappointnt, she wanted to stir things up.

However, no matter how Su Li tried to provoke Yue Nu’s anger this ti, she swallowed her pride and endured, making Su Li feel it was utterly uninteresting.

Feeling bored, Su Li waved her hand, "Go kneel outside."

This ti, Su Li thought Yue Nu would endure it as well. However, to her surprise, Yue Nu did not.

Yue Nu gritted her teeth and suddenly said, "Noble Consort, I was invited by Your Majesty to nurse your health. Aren’t you afraid that Your Majesty would bla you for humiliating like this? Have you thought clearly about the consequences of offending a skilled dical woman...."

The latter part of Yue Nu’s sentence was almost inaudible, but Su Li’s exceptional hearing captured it.

Interesting.

Su Li straightened up, "I’m in good health, no need for any nursing, so must turn down Your Majesty’s good intentions."

Yue Nu was taken aback, bringing an odd urgency, "Your body seems fine on the surface, but inside it’s severely damaged, plus you haven’t recovered properly from the abortion.... If you don’t nurse properly now, it might affect your age."

Seeing Su Li’s indifferent deanor, Yue Nu intensified her tone, seriously stating, "It might also affect your offspring."

As a woman, no one can calmly face the issue of being unable to bear children.

Yue Nu had made up her mind, "I can assure you, only I, Yue Nu, can treat you in the whole world."

"With the right combination of dicinal baths and acupuncture.... in three months, you can revive again."

"Oh, done talking? If so, then go kneel outside."

Su Li said disinterestedly, not even bothering to lower her eyelids.

Yue Nu, she seems a bit too impatient, doesn’t she?

"Noble Consort...." Yue Nu didn’t expect that despite saying so much, the noble princess still looked indifferent.

Could it be just as Your Majesty said, after that incident, her personality changed dramatically?

Just when about to succeed, everything falls short.... all must start anew.....

----------

"Fangzi, why is Yue Nu kneeling outside? Did she commit any mistake?" Zuo Muzhi asked gently.

Hearing the voice, Su Li woke up from her drowsiness, "When did you co?"

Zuo Muchen had a hint of mild reproach, "Yue Nu was specially invited by from the border to nurse your health, why did you... do you still hold a grudge against ?"

Su Li smiled, "Your Majesty worries too much, it’s just.... I’m very healthy now, and I’m afraid this proud dical woman might be all na and no substance."

If it were the original owner, surviving through such circumstances would have been a challenge, and even if lucky, the body would likely have major hidden issues. So, Yue Nu’s words sounded entirely reasonable.

But it doesn’t apply to Su Li; Su Li was certain that having swallowed the Su Fruit, she also nurtured the original owner’s body.

This body is healthier than anyone else’s in this small world.

So.... what’s Yue Nu’s motive in saying these words?

Or rather, what does Zuo Muchen intend to do?

The original owner had no kin, just a simple kitchen maid, relying only on the Regent Prince back then, with no other support.

She stood alone, apart from a decent face, what else could attract people’s sches?

No, there are actually many possibilities, such as the human person....

It’s getting more interesting, Su Li smiled looking at Zuo Muchen.

As she expected, Zuo Muchen shook his head, firm yet gentle, "No, I’m not reassured about your body. Let Yue Nu nurse you, if you dislike her, I’ll just replace her with another dical woman."

"Don’t be sad, it will co back." Zuo Muchen suddenly leaned close to Su Li’s ear, his breath softly caressing her auricle, causing goosebumps.

Su Li looked deeply into Zuo Muchen’s eyes, "Since you insist, then let Yue Nu be."

Zuo Muchen contentedly rubbed Su Li’s head, a gentle smile ford at the corner of his eyes.

His gaze was focused and profound, enough to engross anyone.

"Let’s retire for the night then."

Su Li was startled.

As Zuo Muchen’s words fell, Little Shunzi along with others in the palace retreated.

An unusual fragrance began to burn in the incense burner, serene and peaceful.

Su Li’s phoenix eyes squinted, her forrly uneasy thoughts were set aside, her body relaxed, and with a serene expression, she linked arms with Zuo Muchen.

"Your Majesty...."

The soft gauze curtain was lifted, and as Su Li sat down, everything turned dark, her consciousness sinking into a warm and soft fragrance.

Her limp body was cradled in Zuo Muchen’s arms and gently placed on the bed.

Indecipherable glances lingered from Zuo Muchen’s eyes, wandering long on Su Li’s calm face.

The room’s fragrance grew thicker, and a creaky sound erged out of nowhere.

A secret passage appeared in the master bedroom of Yuegui Palace, Yue Nu erged from within bearing a lantern.

She stood behind Zuo Muchen with an unpleasant expression, uttering coldly, "Have you hesitated?"

It seed that she would lash out the mont she heard sothing she didn’t want to from Zuo Muchen.

Zuo Muchen replied coolly, "I first t your elder sister."

Yue Nu laughed, "Good that you know, a Saintess from the Yue Clan cannot marry outside. She has been punished for you, be clear, everything you are doing is for redemption and compensation."

Zuo Muchen sighed deeply, "Fangzi is innocent.... as compensation, let her live happily for a while."

Yue Nu gave a derisive laugh, "Are you afraid I’ll do sothing to her?"

"Rest assured, a lowly maid.... in the past, I might have.... but now, for my sister’s sake, enduring her once more would an nothing."

"Keep a close watch over her, if it happens again, I might not show rcy."

Zuo Muchen smirked, "Understood."

Yue Nu’s hands moved swiftly, inserting golden needles into Su Li, "Lucky for her, as it makes her appear even more devilish, after the golden needles, she will beco even more beautiful...." Yue Nu tested cautiously, "You shouldn’t be reluctant, right...."
