To make his threats more intimidating, Yuan Shoucheng waved his fist, as big as a vinegar bowl, at Jiang Er.
Although Shoucheng didn’t use his fist from start to finish, just seeing him like this made Jiang Er shiver involuntarily.
Yuan Bao saw his cousin’s childish behavior and really didn’t know what to say.
Of course, even if she had sothing to say now, she wouldn’t open her mouth. What if she scared away those sparrows? Wouldn’t that waste the millet from ho?
In just a while, many sparrows had gathered under the bamboo basket over there.
After all, the most millet was sprinkled under the bamboo basket.
Seeing that the number of sparrows was about right, Yuan Bao directly yanked the string with force.
Whoosh!
The branch entangled by the string fell down, and the bamboo basket imdiately dropped.
The sparrows pecking at the millet were startled into flight, and a miracle really happened!
Not only were the sparrows under the bamboo basket trapped, but even several that weren’t under it were caught in a split second.
If Yuan Bao hadn’t been watching the bamboo basket constantly, she really wouldn’t have noticed this.
Is this just a coincidence, or a stroke of her luck?
Yuan Bao really couldn’t be sure.
However, she just thought about it for a mont and then threw the guess back to nowhere.
Whether it was a coincidence or luck, they caught the sparrows anyway.
It’s like so elder once said, whether it’s a flower cat or a black cat, catching the mouse makes it a good cat.
"Ah, ah, ah..."
Seeing a bunch of sparrows trapped inside the bamboo basket, a group of kids shrieking rushed forward.
"Don’t rush, take it slow!"
"Don’t let them escape!"
By the ti the group rushed over, Yuan Bao and her own brother, with their short legs, were left behind.
Fortunately, Yuan Shoucheng, who was in front, did not impulsively lift the bamboo basket directly.
But looking at the big bamboo basket on the ground, the group of kids were a bit dumbfounded. How were they going to catch all the sparrows inside?
Sparrows have wings, and they were fluttering wildly inside the basket.
"Jiaojiao, do you have any good ideas?"
Yuan Shoucheng tried lifting the basket a little, reaching in to grab, but unfortunately, he didn’t catch a single sparrow.
Helpless, he could only look to his little cousin who had proposed using a bamboo basket to catch birds.
Yuan Bao was having a bit of a headache because she also had no good ideas. In the shows she watched, they only used a bamboo basket at the start to catch birds, then roasted them to eat; the in-between process, ha, she’d never seen.
However, this didn’t really stump her.
"Cousin, go find a fishing net!"
"We can use the fishing net to cover the basket."
Following Yuan Bao’s shout, Yuan Shoucheng was already running ho.
The Yuan Family does have a fishing net.
But since there’s no big river around Beishan Village, the fishing net is likely unused.
Old Yuan was sitting at ho, and when Yuan Shoucheng said they caught lots of sparrows and needed the fishing net, the old man didn’t stop him and directly handed the net to his grandson.
When Yuan Shoucheng ca out of the house to find Yuan Bao and the others, he discovered that by the bamboo basket not only were Jiang Er and the Yuan Family’s little ones there, but also the village kids had gathered.
Having witnessed this magical bird-catching process, Yuan Bao and the others had successfully earned the admiration of the kids in Beishan Village.
With Jiang Er, the forr leader of the kids in Beishan Village around, the little ones from the Yuan Family mingled seamlessly with the group.
Generously, Yuan Bao waved her small hand, inviting everyone to co and enjoy the feast.
