The Sheng Family Manor wasn’t particularly large, but there was a considerable amount of land surrounding it, and all of it was of excellent quality.

These fields were usually rented out to the villagers of the nearby village for farming, and only when harvest ti ca did soone from the Sheng Family co to collect the rent.

Pandi and the three brothers stood outside the Sheng Family Manor, waiting under a tree at the manor gate for Yuan Shougui’s arrival.

Yuan Shougui took a detour, naturally taking more ti.

But as it turned out, people in love are always full of energy.

Yuan Shougui and Pandi’s three brothers arrived almost simultaneously.

In other words, although Yuan Shougui took a detour, his speed was still impressive.

When Yuan Shougui appeared in front of the Sheng Family Manor, full of excitent, before he could call for the door to be opened, Pandi erged from behind the tree.

With just one greeting, Yuan Shougui’s eager stride ca to a halt.

He slowly turned around, and upon seeing his father standing under the tree, his face, which had been full of joy a mont ago, suddenly looked as if he’d lost his father.

"Dad?!"

Yuan Shougui truly never dread that he would run into his father here.

"Co back with !"

Pandi didn’t lose his temper, he just beckoned Yuan Shougui to follow him.

"I won’t!"

Facing his expressionless father, Yuan Shougui lifted his foot, but it landed back in place, giving a firm refusal.

"You won’t?"

Pandi stepped forward, walking towards the eldest son he once had high hopes for.

Yuan Shougui watched his father, who was clearly on the verge of anger, and his lower legs trembled, but thinking of his current situation, he finally raised his head and stubbornly faced his father.

"Dad, is it wrong to love soone?"

Yuan Shougui looked at his slowly approaching father, "I know you all think I’m not worthy of Xue’er, but what you think doesn’t matter!"

"Thirty years the east river, thirty years the west river, I won’t always be such a failure!"

"Most importantly, Xue’er treats differently."

"Dad, I beg you, please let have my way!"

As he spoke, Yuan Shougui knelt to the ground.

At the mont Yuan Shougui knelt, Pandi’s steps halted.

He stared blankly at his eldest son kneeling on the ground, his gaze shifting several tis. Clearly, Yuan Shougui’s kneeling was unexpected for him.

Even Yuan Shougui’s words were unexpected for him.

The wind blew, clouds drifted, and a large mass of white clouds was blown to cover the sun, casting shadows that brought waves of chill.

After a long ti, Pandi slowly let out a deep breath, saying, "Eldest, are you sure you want to continue like this?"

"Dad, I love Xue’er!"

"No one else will do!"

"Please!"

"Heh, hehe..."

Pandi suddenly laughed, "Do you rember what I told you?"

"If you continue like this, then our entire family will leave here, and everything in Shiqu Village will no longer concern us. Do you still want to persist?"

Pandi gazed intently at his eldest son, feeling heartache.

"Dad, what are you all afraid of?"

Yuan Shougui didn’t answer Pandi’s question, instead, he asked back.

"What are we afraid of?"

"You tell , what are we afraid of?"

Pandi shook his head, "Enough, do whatever you want, it’s like I don’t have you as a son!"

"Dad, you’re giving up on ?"

Upon hearing Pandi’s words, Yuan Shougui’s expression finally beca less excited, more flustered.

"It’s not that I’m giving up on you, it’s you giving up on as your father!"

Pandi just felt exhausted at heart.
