Li Qiao shrugged, "It’s not impossible."
Wu Minmin grabbed a throw pillow and flung it towards Li Qiao, "I think you’re asking for a fight."
Luoyu watched from the side, her heart skipping a beat.
This princess sure has so nerve.
Throwing sour plum boxes and tossing pillows, and yet the lady isn’t angry?
Even Tang Yiting or Xia Lao Wu and the others probably wouldn’t dare act so brazenly in front of her.
Soon, Li Qiao stood up lazily, ignoring Wu Minmin as she walked upstairs.
Wu Minmin bowed her head, tapping on the screen, and sneaked her phone to her mouth to send a voice ssage.
"Your Sister K is back; line up if you want to et."
Just as the voice ssage went out, Li Qiao, who was climbing the stairs, threw a casual remark, "Does Su Lao Si know your first love isn’t him?"
The next second, Wu Minmin quickly retracted the voice ssage, "My bad."
Luoyu was already used to such antics.
She almost wanted to toast to this strange friendship.
...
At 4:30 PM, Su Moshi returned to the villa.
Wu Minmin, flaunting her pregnant belly, hurried over with a cup of tea in hand, "Honey, you’re back."
Su Moshi rubbed her head, a faint smile in his eyes behind his glasses, "Have you taken the vitamin?"
"I have." Wu Minmin watched him change shoes and then take off his coat, trailing him like a little tail, "Li Qiao is sleeping upstairs, don’t disturb her."
Su Moshi acknowledged and, settling onto the sofa, recalled sothing, "Did you send soone to pick her up?"
Wu Minmin nodded vigorously, "I had Ah Da take her in the bulletproof car; it’s very safe, nothing will go wrong."
Su Moshi spread his fingers to massage his temples, "Hmm, still, be cautious. Keep her return under wraps for now."
Wu Minmin blurted out, "Of course we won’t spread it, we’re all family, no need to worry unnecessarily."
"Family?" Su Moshi turned slightly, lifting Wu Minmin’s chin, squinting with a smile as he asked.
He only knew that Minmin and Li Qiao were long-ti best friends, inseparable back then.
If it weren’t for Li Qiao taking Minmin to the border, he wouldn’t have t her either.
Given Li Qiao’s connection to Prince Wu Lv, it wasn’t surprising she was close to Minmin.
But it sounded like there were others in this so-called ’family’?
Wu Minmin puffed her cheeks, silently picked up the sour plum box from the table, and ate a piece, "Mmm... so sour! Why does she have such strong tastes?"
Su Moshi looked at her with an amused half-smile, "Min, Min."
Wu Minmin felt at a loss for words, trying to think of how to brush it off when footsteps echoed from the staircase.
Li Qiao had woken up, holding her phone up as she ca down, talking, "Yeah, Tailun Road villa, no need to co, I’m now—"
Then she paused, "You’re here?"
Li Qiao walked down the stairs, glancing out the villa window, then turned towards the entrance.
Su Moshi also stood up, looking at Luoyu, asking, "Master Yan is here?"
Seeing Luoyu nod, Wu Minmin, filled with curiosity, followed along, "Is it her husband? I heard he’s quite handso, but probably not as handso as my husband."
Su Moshi: "..."
In no ti, they were out the front door. By the roadside of the villa, two black SUVs had parked one in front of the other.
Liuyun opened the rear door, and Shang Yu, dressed in a sharp black suit, stepped out.
Wu Minmin peered around and then strolled forward, mumbling to herself, "He is indeed more handso than my husband..."
Su Moshi raised an eyebrow, holding her arm and whispering, "Watch where you’re going."
Wu Minmin was a typical appearance fanatic; otherwise, she wouldn’t have beco best friends with another appearance-loving Li Qiao.
Su Moshi thought he shouldn’t be jealous; Master Yan’s looks could indeed captivate many won.
But he still felt a twinge of jealousy, wrapping an arm around Wu Minmin’s waist, he softly asked in her ear, "Is he better-looking, or am I?"
Wu Minmin answered without hesitation, "He is!"
Su Moshi pursed his lips and, with a half-smile, pinched her, "You’re sleeping alone tonight!"
After a while, Wu Minmin ca to her senses, stamping her foot, hugging Su Moshi’s arm, and smiling flatteringly, "Honey, you’re the most handso."
Yet even as she said it, her eyes kept sneaking glances at Shang Yu.
How could soone look so good? And with Li Qiao too, they make such a fitting pair.
Too pleasing to the eye, she couldn’t tear her gaze away.
At this mont, Shang Yu nodded a greeting to Su Moshi, then lowered his gaze to Li Qiao, noticing the faint redness in her eyes, and brushed her cheek with his fingers, "Just woke up?"
Li Qiao responded, glancing at the car behind him, "Dad didn’t co with you?"
"He’s at the airport." The man’s deep eyes held a faint smile, "Shall we go back?"
Li Qiao nodded, then hooked Shang Yu’s hand and turned around, her gaze landing on Wu Minmin, "My love, Shang Shaoyan."
Wu Minmin pulled Su Moshi over, looking up at the tall man, waving and smiling, "Hello, hello, brother-in-law, I’m Wu Minmin,"
Li Qiao, Su Moshi: "..."
Su Moshi tapped Wu Minmin’s head, "There you go talking nonsense again."
Then he apologized to Shang Yu with a nod, "Master Yan, please excuse her."
Wu Minmin pouted unhappily, "Who’s talking nonsense? I’m three days older than Li Qiao, so she’s my sis."
Li Qiao gave her a sidelong look, tugging her lips, "We’re leaving."
Wu Minmin stepped forward reluctantly, "Leaving so soon? They haven’t even arrived yet..."
Li Qiao didn’t respond, grabbing Shang Yu’s hand as they headed for the car.
Unfazed, Wu Minmin resud her chatter mode from behind, "When will you co back? Why not take the bulletproof car, I’ve just had it serviced, and, and..."
Li Qiao got into the car, slamd the door shut with a bang, effectively blocking out Wu Minmin’s incessant chatter.
She climbed in, massaged her temples, and lightly kicked the front seat with her toes, "Drive."
Wu Minmin’s chatterbox habit was getting worse.
Shang Yu chuckled faintly, crossing his legs, and teased, "Who’s coming?"
Li Qiao stared ahead, innocently shaking her head, "I don’t know."
She honestly didn’t know; Wu Minmin had many mutual friends with her, but who she contacted, she had no clue.
The man looked at her with a gaze full of depth.
Soon, Liuyun reached the junction, slowing the car, "Boss, the road ahead is closed again."
Li Qiao glanced out the window, pursing her lips, "Drive through."
Liuyun hesitated slightly, "Ma’am, this road has been closed for half an hour this afternoon; no vehicles are allowed through."
Li Qiao said nothing, while Luoyu scratched her head, speaking unsurely, "Really? When we ca through earlier, we didn’t see any other cars."
The car was silent.
Luoyu gulped, continuing to speak boldly, "That bulletproof car... seems to be exempt from restrictions."
