Zong Yue turned her face away blankly, a kind of indescribable emotion fernting and churning in her chest.

What happened to Li Jun?

Not only can he say sweet words, but he also knows how to be flexible now.

Zong Yue couldn’t help but look back at Li Jun. The collar of his white shirt was slightly open, the cuffs rolled up to his forearms, making him look less serious and more elegant and casual.

About ten minutes later, Li Jun suggested going ho.

Zong Yue looked at the dishes on the table, her heart softening, and said gently, "Are the dishes not to your taste? You haven’t eaten much."

"Not hungry." Li Jun pinched his temples, fatigue clouding his brow, "Let’s go ho."

Zong Yue pursed her lips, absentmindedly standing up with him.

She couldn’t figure out where Li Jun’s change ca from; was it just because of the recent cold war?

With such doubts, Zong Yue walked forward in a daze. Unaware for a mont, she kicked the corner of the table with her toes, gasped shortly in surprise, and quickly tried to hold onto the dining table to stabilize herself.

But Li Jun reacted faster. He strode forward, his strong arm wrapped around Zong Yue’s soft waist, gently pulling her into his embrace.

Such intimate actions, which hadn’t happened in many days, made Li Jun sowhat restless.

Zong Yue was not only gentle in character, but her body was also suprely soft, perfectly embodying the phrase ’won are like water.’

At this mont, Zong Yue frowned, the pain in her toes making her scalp tingle.

Li Jun lowered his eyes, his thin lips pressed tight, "Is it very painful?"

Zong Yue caught her breath, held the table corner with one hand, and shook her head, "It’ll be better in a while."

"Sit down, let have a look." Li Jun said as he naturally knelt down.

Zong Yue was taken aback, reaching out to push his shoulder, "No need, it’s really nothing."

Li Jun pushed her hand aside, a bit dominantly lifting her ankle and gently removing her cotton socks.

Zong Yue swallowed, her heartbeat quickening.

Even though they’ve done countless intimate things, this trivial bit of thoughtfulness still made her heart contract into a ball.

A man’s tenderness is as addictive as poppy.

Especially when the once unromantic Li Jun suddenly beca so tender, Zong Yue had no resistance at all.

She sat rigidly in the chair, staring at Li Jun without blinking, a question escaping her lips, "What, what’s wrong with you?"

Li Jun was examining her reddened toes, and he looked up upon hearing her, "What’s wrong with ?"

Zong Yue ca back to her senses, half-opened her mouth, and shook her head.

Before long, Li Jun confird that her bones were not injured. He squeezed her toes two more tis, just about to put her cotton socks back on, when the door unexpectedly opened.

Li Yan ca in uninvited, "Big brother, did you eat..."

The voice stopped abruptly.

Li Yan held the door with one hand, standing there dumbfounded.

He didn’t know what was happening either, seeing Li Jun kneeling on one knee, holding Zong Yue’s foot, in an instant, imagining an entire drama, "Sorry to interrupt."

After speaking, Li Yan exited the door and closed it with a ’bang.’

Indeed, the sister-in-law knows how to handle a husband.

Li Yan glanced back at the dining room and snorted.

No matter how formidable the veteran cadre is, he still has to kneel to his wife, nothing special!

...

The next day, Li Qiao and Shang Yu went out after breakfast.

The Li family villa was not far from Yan Emperor, so during a work break for Shang Yu, Li Qiao took Luoyu for a walk to the fund company.

Thinking that Xi Luo was not there, Li Qiao took a few docunts from the eting room and was about to head back.

However, the glass door suddenly opened, and Xi Luo leaned against the door fra, smiling faintly, "Did you co specially to welco ?"

Li Qiao handed the docunts to Luoyu, looking up with a smirk, "When did you co back?"

Xi Luo’s throat choked, knowing she was being self-indulgent, her face not pleasant as she walked to the table and sat down, "Last night."

"Oh, I’ll be leaving first."

Li Qiao clearly didn’t plan to stay long, leisurely getting up to walk out the door.

Xi Luo crossed her legs and closed her eyes, "Kid, aren’t you curious about what happened to in Myanmar?"

Seeing this, Luoyu held the docunts and whispered in Li Qiao’s ear, "Madam, I’ll wait for you outside."

Li Qiao nodded, sat back down, and looked at Xi Luo blandly, "Let’s hear it then?"

"Not much, just got set up by soone." Xi Luo said as she tidied her wavy long hair with a playful smile on her lips, "You know, I’m narrow-minded and always repay a grudge."

Li Qiao curving her lips knowingly, "Does it have sothing to do with Shaoyan?"

"Half and half." Xi Luo said, flashing her cunningly, "Anyway, there’s plenty of ti ahead."

Li Qiao leaned against the armrest, observing her eyes filled with so resentnt, bringing up the inappropriate topic, "Is Zong Zhan back too?"

At the ntion of Zong Zhan, Xi Luo’s expression showed subtle unease.

Li Qiao noticed her change and raised her eyebrows, "There’s a gathering tonight, want to co along?"

"Who’s all there?"

Li Qiao tapped her fingers on the table, her tone intriguing, "Everyone who’s supposed to co will be there."

...

At three in the afternoon, Li Qiao received a phone call in Shang Yu’s office.

"Second sister?"

Yin Mo had recently been staying in the Mansion to avoid attention, not stepping out all day.

Li Qiao placed her computer on her lap, looked at the phone, and turned on the speaker.

Yin Mo’s low, calm voice ca from the other end, "I just hacked into the manor’s intranet and accidentally heard so news."

Li Qiao tily glanced at the executive desk to her left, seeing Shang Yu still buried in work, she silently turned off the speaker.

Yin Mo said, "The British Commonwealth Governnt issued an order to investigate the Global Society, and the Second Crown Prince is implicated and quite displeased with Charlman’s actions."

Li Qiao smiled unsurprisingly, "Anything else?"

"The Second Crown Prince wants Charlman to quickly produce evidence of the Archbishop’s harm to his siblings, but to no avail."

Li Qiao moved the computer off her lap, got up, and walked to the floor-to-ceiling window, her voice calm, "Charlman has no evidence, even if he did, he wouldn’t release it."

Yin Mo operated shortcut keys on the keyboard, the page flickered, then continued, "By the way, the manor’s intranet shows that Charlman’s private plane applied for a direct flight route to Myanmar on the 29th, and Xiao Hongdao’s na is also on the accompanying list."

Li Qiao raised her eyelids, her gaze flickering, "Got it."

Xiao Hongdao indeed attending the wedding banquet, no wonder Su Lao Si was so confident before.

At this mont, Yin Mo coughed lightly, "Qi Zai, when are you coming back?"

"Probably a bit late." Li Qiao glanced at the ti on her watch, "What’s up?"

Yin Mo pressed her lips together, hesitated for a few seconds before speaking directly, "Third Brother called at noon, inviting to a gathering tonight..."

"Li San?" Li Qiao couldn’t hide her surprise; how did Third Brother know Yin Mo was in the South Sea?

"Yes, he said they’re all familiar faces and told to wait at the Mansion, soone will pick up at five." Yin Mo pondered and asked, "Can I go?"
