At this mont, Li Qiao asked in a low voice, "What money laundering?"

Xi Luo’s eyes flickered, responding with an expression of ’I can’t believe you forgot’: "It’s your underground Entertainnt City in Myanmar, the one he and the Myanmar police brought down together."

Li Qiao: "..."

She smiled and said, word by word, "My Entertainnt City?"

"Yes, that’s the one," Xi Luo sighed heavily with a look of heartache, "The losses were too heavy."

Li Qiao just watched Xi Luo’s performance without exposing her; burying people in pitfalls was sothing she was always adept at.

But Zong Zhan didn’t see it that way; he had to live up to his military uniform.

So, Zong Zhan clicked his tongue and let out a mix of long sighs and short gasps, "Sister-in-law, this..."

Xi Luo also put down her chopsticks, leaned back in her chair, and stirred the pot, "This what? I’m just an employee, I do whatever I’m told to do, right, boss?"

Ha, to your grandpa.

Zong Zhan pursed his lips tightly, seemingly caught in a dilemma. In a flash, he rubbed his buzz-cut and took a sip from his glass, "Sister-in-law, this shouldn’t set a precedent, okay?"

Xi Luo: "???"

Li Qiao readily agreed, "Alright."

Shang Yu lazily opened his eyes, a slight frown between his eyebrows, "Let’s eat."

Xi Luo shook her wrist, "Chief Zong, aren’t you going to unlock this for ?"

"It can’t be unlocked until it has been before a military court," Zong Zhan obviously had no intention of letting her off, Xi Luo chuckled angrily, "You already know who the boss is and still planning to chain up? What kind of hobby is this?"

Zong Zhan’s smile was ambiguous, "Sister-in-law is young and bound to make mistakes. Since you’re an employee, taking the fall for her shouldn’t be too difficult."

Are these even human words?

...

After dinner, Xi Luo declared her intention to bathe, and Zong Zhan didn’t refuse; he was prepared to accompany her to the skies if she so wished, and casually followed her back to the room next door.

Li Qiao watched their figures, one in front of the other, and once they had gone, she turned back and asked, "Is Zong Zhan really going to take Xi Luo to military court?"

"No," Shang Yu propped his elbow on his knee, opened the Sour Plum Box and fed her a slice, "It’s just minor discipline for greater teaching."

Li Qiao didn’t understand what grudges existed between them, swallowed the sour plum, and raised an eyebrow, "You know so well?"

Shang Yu wasn’t one to poke his nose into other people’s business.

He was always indifferent, it would not be an overstatent to compare his heart to iron towards strangers.

Yet, he had unexpectedly ddled in the affairs of Xi Luo and Zong Zhan.

Shang Yu glanced at her subtle expression, his deep-set eyes tinged with a thin smile, "It’s a trusted request."

Li Qiao pouted slightly, rather mysterious.

She stretched lazily, glanced out the window, the maple forest at night looked even more fiery and dazzling under the light’s glow, "Join for a walk?"

She had finally co out to relax, yet spent most of the afternoon sleeping.

Shang Yu curled his lips and responded, as the two stood up, Luoyu rushed over in a hurry. Seeing Li Qiao, he seed hesitant to speak.

"Speak," the man said in one word.

Luoyu imdiately nodded, "There’s news from Parma."

Li Qiao’s gaze flickered, and she slowly moved, "I’ll go to the restroom."

...

Returning to the second floor, Li Qiao entered the bathroom and called Bai Yan.

The other end took a long ti to pick up, with so noisy sounds in the background, probably in a fried rice stall.

Li Qiao gave a concise order, "The immigration system at the Parma customs was hacked this morning. Help transfer the IP address."

Bai Yan seed to be choked by the sll of oily smoke, muttering sothing in Burse about "fuck off, not selling anymore," and tossed the spatula before heading inside. "You hacked it?"

"Yep," Li Qiao replied, and Bai Yan humd with a chuckle, "Not bad, hacking straight into soone’s customs system. If you get caught, it’s a minimum of ten years."

"So, you in or not?"

Bai Yan had the illusion that his daughter had caused trouble and it was up to him to clean up the ss. "In, how can I say no? No one else dares boss around like this."

As he spoke, he kicked a stool aside and picked up a bottle of beer to take a couple of swigs. "Where did you transfer the IP address to?"

Li Qiao considered it seriously for two seconds. "Your place."

Bai Yan shook his head. "What did you say? I didn’t catch that."

"Your place," Li Qiao leaned against the sink, righteously making her arrangents, "You’ve got a longer rap sheet, one more charge won’t make a difference."

Bai Yan almost smashed his beer bottle. "You do just as much dirty work as , what have you got to be scared of?"

Li Qiao spoke lightly, "Don’t want to cause Shaoyan any trouble."

Fury had ruled her in the morning. Even though she had hidden the IP address, with Shang Yu having been brought in by Parma, her Blinding thod was bound to be insufficient.

She had already obtained the customs entry information, but had yet to sift through for useful clues.

The truth behind Ming Dailan’s abortion, she was determined to get to the bottom of it.

...

The next morning, Li Qiao and Shang Yu went to Incense Burner Cave to admire the maple leaves, with Zong Zhan and Xi Luo as inseparable as conjoined twins, their handcuffs refused to open.

Later, Li Qiao asked Xi Luo if they shared a bed even while sleeping at night.

Xi Luo’s expression at the ti was indescribable. After a while, she said with regret, "I forgot, that son of a bitch knocked out."

In any case, when she woke up the next morning, she found herself spread-eagled on the bed, while Zong Zhan sat at the edge of the bed smoking, looking half-human, half-dog.

Every ti Xi Luo recalled the scene, she felt like she had been violated by a dog.

She had no idea that she had treated Zong Zhan like a human-sized doll, clinging to him all night long.

Of course, after this ordeal, Xi Luo and Zong Zhan had truly beco sworn enemies.

At three in the afternoon, Li Qiao and Shang Yu prepared to head back.

Zong Zhan said his farewells to them with Xi Luo, hinting he might take her back to Imperial Capital.

Li Qiao thought for a mont, then said softly, "Xi Luo needs to be back by the beginning of next month."

There was just about a week left, and there would be a negotiation in Myanmar at the beginning of the month.

Shang Yu looked at Li Qiao with profound eyes, a deep smile playing on his lips, "Alright."

Li Qiao blinked, her prepared excuses suddenly finding no place to land.

He actually didn’t ask her why?

Li Qiao scratched her head, explaining to herself, "Xi Luo usually needs to manage the company, she can’t be away for too long."

"Mhm," the man turned his face away to look out the window, replying warmly, "Not too long."

The strange feeling was getting stronger.

Li Qiao leaned back in her chair, sneaking a glance at Shang Yu’s clearly outlined profile, "Are you trying to set Zong Zhan up with Xi Luo?"

Other than that reason, she really couldn’t think of any mutually beneficial grounds they could have.

Li Qiao, unaware of her ally’s betrayal, hadn’t imagined that Xi Luo would spill the beans to Shang Yu about her business trip to Myanmar.

"You think they’re a good match?" The man turned, his deep and clear gaze fixed on her.

Li Qiao peered out the window and just so happened to see Xi Luo whispering sothing to her driver and lapdog, while Zong Zhan stood beside them smoking, lips pressed thin in displeasure, casting sidewards glances from ti to ti.

"Maybe..." Li Qiao turned away her gaze, her smile not quite reaching her eyes, "they’re a match made in hell."
