Chapter 326: Chapter 326: Rember to Close the Curtains Next Ti Chapter 326: Chapter 326: Rember to Close the Curtains Next Ti Li Qiao was right— even if she wanted to sit quietly by the pool and watch the excitent, the attackers wouldn’t accommodate her.

With his lean and strong figure standing firm, Shang Yu curved his thin lips slightly and admonished in a deep voice, “Don’t get hurt.”

After his words, they both joined the fight.

These attackers indeed seed to be more adept than your typical bodyguards, with their cleavers slicing through the air and every punch and kick carrying a powerful force.

A glint of blood shone through the chaos, suggesting that Wang Yue had been injured.

Li Qiao narrowed her eyes, ducked to avoid the oncoming strikes, and swiftly threw her knife at Wang Yue.

“Thank you, Miss Li!”

Wang Yue caught the handle of the knife, sneered coldly, and with a casual swing, the sharp blade sliced open an opponent’s belly.

The battle wasn’t extrely fierce, but the attackers seed to change their tactics.

They advanced in waves, three in the front and three in the back, similar to a tag-team strategy.

After Li Qiao took down one person, she turned to search for Shang Yu’s silhouette.

In a short mont, she witnessed the following scene.

A man dressed in black training clothes had his wrist painfully twisted by Shang Yu, the excruciating pain forcing him to buckle at the knees and kneel before Shang Yu.

The man’s face, marked by a cold and ferocious look, bent over the kneeling figure.

Whatever the fallen man said wasn’t known, but the next mont Shang Yu released his wrist, gripped the top of his head with a smile, bent his knee, and violently struck the man’s throat with it.

A killing blow.

Yet, he was still smiling.

Li Qiao swallowed hard, clearly catching the contempt and flas in Shang Yu’s eyes.

To him, human lives were as insignificant as ants.

Li Qiao was still watching, seemingly distracted.

Until the barrel of a gun was pressed against her temple, accompanied by a harsh and smug laughter that reached everyone’s ears.

“All of you stop, do you want her dead?”

Everyone halted their movents at once.

Out of the thirty-odd attackers, only five or six were still gasping for breath; the rest were either unconscious or dead on the ground.

Shang Yu stood amidst the crowd, his deep, dark eyes summoning a tempest.

Liuyun and Wang Yue, among others, were also out of breath and desperate.

Damn it, how did Miss Li get taken hostage?

He looked down, rubbing the blood on his fingers, and then raised his eyelids to look at Li Qiao with a deep and sowhat helpless tone, “How could you be so careless?”

Li Qiao twitched her mouth, ignoring the gun at her temple, and lifted her head with a sigh, “Lure the enemy out of his lair.”

As she contemplated, the gunman in black didn’t even have ti to react.

He only felt a blur of vision and a pain in his wrist before the gun was gone.

Upon a closer look, oh, it was now pointed at his own forehead.

The man had been hiding in the shadows for too long.

Li Qiao had felt sothing was off during the fight.

The attackers had sprung into action the mont they appeared, and had remained silent throughout, slashing at anyone they saw.

Such a scenario must have been rehearsed countless tis before, but the person giving orders had yet to show himself.

The encircling attackers didn’t bring guns, instead, they ca with knives.

The lee tonight was obviously not intended to take their lives.

At this mont, Li Qiao pointed the gun at the man’s brow, tilting her head to look at him, “Finally willing to show up?”

The man didn’t speak, warily watching Li Qiao’s trigger finger as if he was afraid she would pull it at any mont.

Shang Yu walked forward with asured steps, stopping in front of Li Qiao.

He pulled her bloodied palm into his embrace, took the gun from her hand, and without a word, gunfire resounded by the seashore.

The man fell, a hole in his brow.

Imdiately after, several gunshots rang out.

Shang Yu held Li Qiao with one arm, fixing her in his intense gaze while firing multiple shots without a glance at the remaining attackers behind him.

They fell to the ground in response to his shots.

He was willing to play along with them, but they should have never targeted Li Qiao.

Shang Yu, who had never thought of taking a life in front of her, made an exception tonight.

He tossed aside his gun, wrapped his arms around Li Qiao, and walked towards a seaside villa not far away, ignoring the wounded thugs on the ground, and commanded in a chilling tone, “Clean this up.”

Soone responded, and Li Qiao glanced over to see Zuo Xuan, who she had no idea when had arrived on the island, following behind him with quite a few people.

Huh?

The Secret Hall still ca?!

How co there was no sign at all.

In a blink of an eye, the figures of the two disappeared near the seaside gate of the villa.

Not far away in another villa, Shen Qingye was gasping for breath as he pulled open the sliding door and stepped outside, gesturing with his thumb twice toward his back, “There are still ten in this room.”

Damn, he was exhausted.

Liuyun and the others looked into the living room behind Shen Qingye, only to see a pile of n in black lying askew on the floor.

And Bai Luhui was squatting next to this group, searching their bodies for sothing.

Liuyun couldn’t help but feel embarrassed; he had thought that Young Director Shen of the Sixth Bureau was afraid of death and had been hiding inside without making a sound.

Turns out…

the fight over there was pretty intense as well.

In the villa’s living room, Li Qiao was led in by Shang Yu and before she could steady herself, she was pressed onto the sofa.

After the world spun and turned, she was caught in a whirlwind of fervent kisses.

Li Qiao: “…”

She had been careless.

After the passionate kiss ended, Li Qiao opened her dazed eyes and stared at the ceiling above, feeling oxygen-deprived.

The man seed furious, his elbow propped next to her head, his hand clenching her chin, and his cool breath spraying into her nostrils, “Using yourself as bait?”

Li Qiao was a bit dizzy, pushing against his chest and gasping for air, “Hmm, not really, they obviously didn’t intend to kill tonight…”

Before she could finish, she was silenced again.

Ti passed and just a second before Li Qiao was about to pass out from lack of oxygen, Shang Yu let her go.

The man pulled her up from the sofa and headed towards the bathroom.

Li Qiao sat with one leg bent to the side, feeling a chill on her body.

Looking down, she saw that sohow the hem of her clothes had rolled up.

She wiped her face, silently straightened her clothes, and sat neatly on the sofa, catching her breath, waiting for Shang Yu to co out.

Less than half a minute later, the man returned.

In his hand was a warm towel, which he brought over to Li Qiao and, without saying a word, sat down and began gently wiping her wrist.

Li Qiao focused and noticed blood on her fair wrist.

It wasn’t hers.

It was probably a trace left by Shang Yu after he took action, which had stained her hand.

After he finished wiping her hands, he threw the warm towel on the coffee table, crossed his legs, leaned on the sofa, and heaved a heavy sigh.

Li Qiao stroked her wrist a couple of tis, eyeing the man’s distinct and deep facial features, and pulled at the corner of her mouth, “Who’s behind tonight’s incident?”

She had a hunch that he knew sothing.

Otherwise, he wouldn’t have dealt with the lead hitman so easily without even asking questions.

Shang Yu narrowed his cold eyes but before he could answer, soone knocked twice on the sliding door from outside.

Shen Qingye held his waist with one hand and pointed at the window with the other, “You two, rember to draw the curtains next ti!”
