The next day, Bai Yan arrived at South Sea with the Dragon and Tiger Generals.
Outside the arrivals hall, Xi Luo leaned against a sign, bored, while Zong Zhan smoked quietly not far away.
"Let have a puff."
Xi Luo couldn’t resist after a few seconds, sidling up to the man and reaching out to snatch the cigarette.
Zong Zhan took advantage of his height, raised his arm high, and glanced at her, "Craving a smoke?"
"Not craving, just curious about the taste." Xi Luo crossed her arms, "One puff won’t make addicted."
Zong Zhan tossed the cigarette butt into the ashtray, "If you want a taste, kiss ."
"Are you making conditions with ?"
"No," Zong Zhan exhaled smoke, explaining playfully, "I just finished smoking, there’s still a smoky flavor. If you want to taste it, you can kiss ."
Xi Luo couldn’t help but sneer, "Then I’d rather go lick an ashtray."
When it cos to quitting smoking, Zong Zhan’s attitude has always been resolute.
No matter how Xi Luo pouted and acted up, he just wouldn’t allow her to start again.
The couple bickered without a care for their surroundings, completely unaware that Bai Yan had been standing three ters away, watching the spectacle for a while.
If it weren’t so hot, Bai Yan might have watched longer, "In public, can’t you two have so decency?"
Zong Zhan and Xi Luo turned simultaneously, and Xi Luo smiled as soon as she saw Bai Yan, "Jealous?"
Bai Yan turned and walked away, while the Dragon and Tiger Generals struggled to follow with four or five suitcases.
In the parking lot, Xi Luo looked at the full trunk, "Did you move your whole house?"
"Talk too much." Bai Yan bent to get in the car, then chillingly added, "You’d better not need sothing from ."
Xi Luo was never one to be underestimated.
Personally coming to the airport to pick him up, she’s either up to sothing or she needs a favor.
Xi Luo got into the passenger seat, looking back with a smile, "Entrusted by soone, indeed I need sothing from you."
"Speak."
So, just as Zong Zhan fastened his seatbelt, he heard his woman mysteriously looking at Bai Yan, "Don’t rush, let’s talk privately."
Zong Zhan glanced sideways at her, "I can’t listen?"
"You already know, why ask." Xi Luo adjusted his handso face with a hand, crossing her legs and motioning forward, "Let’s go, to the Royal Hotel."
...
anwhile, Nan Xin, who was at the Li Family’s old house, was accompanying Duan Shuyuan in arranging the children’s room for Xiao Shang Yin.
"Xinxin, how long do you and Li San plan to stay this ti?"
Duan Shuyuan took the ribbon from a maid, probing with hidden intent.
Nan Xin placed a white horse balloon next to the children’s bed, "Not decided yet, is there sothing you need, Auntie?"
"No big deal, really. Second Brother and Mo Mo are coming ho tonight, how about..." Duan Shuyuan’s eyes glead, "you and Li San stay a bit longer and settle your wedding while everyone’s here."
The balloon slipped from Nan Xin’s hand, "W-Wedding?"
Though she and Li San had reconciled, they hadn’t reached the stage of discussing marriage.
"Didn’t Li San ntion it to you?" Duan Shuyuan tied the ribbon into a bow, "This kid, I thought you knew."
Nan Xin watched Duan Shuyuan, who was tying bows with her head down, possibly due to professional habits, she felt her future mother-in-law was avoiding her eyes.
A few minutes later, Li San appeared at the doorway of the children’s room.
He looked with so impatience at the pinkish children’s world in front of him, "Mom, you called ?"
Duan Shuyuan pointed to the clutter in the corner, "Throw those things out."
"What’s the maid for then?"
Duan Shuyuan glanced at him disapprovingly, "Can’t you see everyone is busy? Are you hard to move?"
Li San silently walked to the corner, seeing this, Nan Xin stepped forward, "Let’s do it together."
Duan Shuyuan smiled with contentnt, then clapped, "Almost forgot, Xiao Yue is coming ho for dinner, and I haven’t made her soup yet. Li San, don’t tidy up anymore, help Xinxin with the arrangent. I’ll go to the kitchen to make soup."
With that, Duan Shuyuan said what she needed to say, then left the children’s room with the maid.
Li San sighed, strolling to the bed edge and sitting down, "What else needs doing?"
Nan Xin glanced at the scene in front of her, barely able to suppress a laugh.
A strong, burly man sitting on a tiny children’s bed, surrounded by colorful balloons and ribbons, looked incredibly mismatched.
Nan Xin picked up a balloon to stick on the wall, speaking almost casually, "Auntie hopes we stay a bit longer in South Sea."
Li San kicked away the botherso decorations at his feet, "Fine either way."
That answer was quite perfunctory.
Nan Xin slapped the balloon onto the wall with a bit of force, "Do you think Auntie has so other plans?"
"Who knows." Li San looked at the woman’s form as she tiptoed, his view shifting up slightly, "You put it crooked."
Nan Xin applied a bit more force, and the balloon burst with a ’pop’, "Since there’s no other plan, then we might as well leave early..."
Before she finished, Nan Xin’s hand on the wall was covered by the man’s dry palm.
Standing behind her, Li San chuckled lowly, "Are you taking out your anger on balloons?"
Nan Xin spoke righteously, "No, it’s just poor quality stuff."
"What did my mom say to you?"
Nan Xin’s fingers curled slightly, "Forgot."
Li San’s lips curved more deeply into a smile, leaning down to whisper in her ear, "Normally, your mory is impressive, but here in South Sea, it suddenly declines?"
"Are you asking what you already know?" Nan Xin turned in his embrace, purposefully giving the wrong answer, "Auntie said she’s introducing to a rich second-generation charr, satisfied?"
Li San snorted, but there was laughter in his eyes, "There’s one right in front of you."
Nan Xin turned her face away, the words ’marriage proposal’ hovering at her lips.
Reaching this point, Li San stopped teasing her, pulling her into his embrace and softly said, "Nan Xin, let’s get married."
Warm, cozy air surrounded them.
Nan Xin leaned against Li San’s chest, listening to his vigorous heartbeat, "You’re not joking?"
"If you don’t believe , let’s go to the civil affairs bureau right now."
Nan Xin raised her hand to wrap around his waist, laughing quietly in his arms, "There’s no proposal, won’t I be losing out?"
Li San looked down, "No proposal, you won’t marry?"
"I’ll marry." Nan Xin buried her face in his chest, embarrassed for once, "You had Auntie drop hints at , there’s no surprise now."
Li San was silent for two seconds, then stated the most low EQ statent in history, "No, she didn’t know my plan, maybe she just wanted to push to marry you."
Nan Xin’s earlier feeling of being touched shattered instantly.
She pushed the man away, poking his chest, "You don’t have to tell the truth."
"You want to lie to you?"
Nan Xin: "..."
What else can she say, knowing from the start his bandit nature, yet she hasn’t ended up single, she considers it a blessing by heaven.
Li San may not be gentle or romantic, but Nan Xin loves him enough to accommodate him.
After all, not every love story can be like a fairy tale, she fell for a bandit, and thus was willing to be the Bandit Chief’s wife.
