He Chen was completely deflated by Captain Yin’s direct approach. He patted the woman’s head disdainfully and said, "Go, keep your distance from ."

Yin Mo got off his lap with an innocent expression and thought for a mont before saying bluntly, "Then I’ll go call Qiaoqiao back."

He Chen: "..."

Is this woman a lesbian trying to scam into marriage?

...

As evening approached, He Chen received a phone call from the He Family’s old residence.

The elder uncle spoke in a stiff tone, scornfully warning, "He Chen, with all the trouble you’ve stirred, aren’t you afraid you won’t be able to clean it up?"

"Honestly, you’re full of crap." At the ti, He Chen was holding a glass, leisurely sipping his drink, his voice beca even more rich and hoarse.

The elder uncle was infuriated by He Chen’s retort, "You’ve kidnapped the Eldest Young Master and forcefully stord Shang’s headquarters to abduct the wife, He Chen, you’re going to face retribution."

The receiver was unusually quiet.

After a while, He Chen dropped two ice cubes into his glass and asked nonchalantly, "Got any evidence?"

The elder uncle was montarily speechless, clearly not having thought of an excuse.

He Chen shook the ice in his glass, sneering with contempt, "Old man, why not ask the police officers next to you what they think."

"You..."

"Enough." He Chen impatiently interrupted the elder uncle, "Spare the moral preaching, isn’t He Huatang still alive? If you want to ramble, go chant sutras by his ear, maybe you’ll cure his stroke; that would definitely be a good deed."

Before the elder uncle could reply, He Chen let out a dismissive laugh and hung up the phone.

He tilted his head back, downed the whiskey in his glass, and felt the sharp chill of the ice cubes against his tongue.

"They say..." Yin Mo’s gentle voice ca from diagonal behind, "Fourth Great-Uncle of the He Family went to the Shang Family Old House this morning."

He Chen turned, holding the ice in his mouth, and curled his lips nonchalantly, "Woke up?"

Yin Mo, wearing loose sweatpants and a white T-shirt, went to the bar counter and picked up an empty glass, "Yeah, going into action tonight?"

The man propped up his temple, watching Yin Mo pour the drink, he asked back instead of answering, "Want so ice?"

Yin Mo thought for a mont while raising her glass, "Give two cubes."

He Chen mischievously curled his thin lips, "What a coincidence, only one left."

"There’s none in the ice bucket..." Yin Mo looked at the ice bucket suspiciously, but the rest of her words were stopped by the man’s chilling lips.

Then a piece of crushed ice was pushed into her mouth by He Chen’s big tongue, "Here you go, sweetheart."

Yin Mo shivered unexpectedly, she pushed the ice to the side of her mouth, half-opened her mouth, exhaling several breaths, "So cold."

He Chen leaned against the bar, watching the woman puff her cheeks, he childishly reached out and poked it, "Want to warm it up for you?"

Yin Mo rolled her eyes as if it was routine, took two more ice cubes from the bucket, and dropped them into her glass, "You still haven’t answered , are we taking action tonight?"

"Sweetheart, it’s not called taking action." He Chen put away his flippant deanor, corrected her with a smile, "At most, it’s called having so fun."

Going to the He Family, to have so fun.

...

At eight o’clock, Yin Mo wandered into the walk-in closet, preparing to change into her usual combat attire.

But as soon as she took off her T-shirt, He Chen unceremoniously followed her in, not even bothering to knock.

Yin Mo didn’t scream, she just stood there calmly, her eyes following his movents.

Now, the glass wardrobe in the closet displayed a dazzling array of luxurious clothes.

All of them were extravagant brands He Chen had bought for her.

He quickly scanned the room and walked to the wardrobe, pulling out a black velvet strap dress, then shoved it into Yin Mo’s arms, "Wear this."

Yin Mo picked it up and took a look; the left hem of the dress had a slit extending to the thigh. She frowned, "This isn’t good for fighting."

He Chen glanced at her, then took out a necklace, bracelet, and earrings from the jewelry box in succession, shoving all into her hands, "Put them on."

Next, He Chen was going to help her choose shoes, while Yin Mo confusedly looked at the jewelry in her hands, "You want to wear so much jewelry...to show off wealth?"

"What?" He haphazardly picked up the necklace and compared it against the dress, "Doesn’t it look good?"

Yin Mo blinked and launched an attack with an emotional intelligence of 29, "Do you not understand aesthetic coordination?"

He Chen’s face turned dark, grasping her cheeks with his hand, "I just want you to wear it all, got a problem?"

"But they should be in the sa color tone to look good." Yin Mo pushed his hand away, walked to the jewelry box, picked up a simple set of black diamond earrings and pendant, and waved them in front of He Chen, "This set is better, skip the bracelet, it’s too cumberso."

He Chen really didn’t want to admit he had no sense of coordination, he looked at Yin Mo coolly, his gaze falling on her navy blue bra, and left without a word.

In the air, a sentence floated by: "Pick your own shoes."

Yin Mo watched his departing back, cocked her mouth, and couldn’t help but let out a short laugh.

Turned out, he didn’t really know how to match won’s clothes.

...

About half an hour later, Yin Mo descended the stairs in the black velvet strap dress.

The hem reached her ankles, revealing her slender ankles. He Chen thought she’d look better if she weren’t wearing flat shoes.

But he didn’t ask, to avoid exposing his shortcomings in fashion.

And Yin Mo didn’t say anything, her reason for wearing flats was because it’s easier to trip in heels.

Both of them harbored their own little calculations, eting in the living room like ’victorious allies’.

Tonight, He Chen’s attire was a bit more elegantly gentlemanly compared to usual, his navy blue shirt and trousers making him appear impeccably dressed, even more charming and attractive.

Soon after, He Chen looked at Yin Mo, feeling sothing was off.

Until they got in the car, and the car pulled out from the gate of Purple Cloud Mansion, did his sly gaze fall slowly onto Yin Mo’s chest.

He Chen raised the partition, turned on the overhead light, and squinted at her proud chest with a dangerously toned voice, "Yin Mo, don’t tell you’re going in bare-chested?"

Yin Mo looked at herself innocently, "I’m not bare, I have silicone pads."

This kind of strap dress doesn’t work with bras with straps, and the brand specifically prepared matching silicone pads, is there a problem with that?

He Chen felt a choke in his chest, unable to go up or down.

He leaned next to her, lifting her strap with a rogue flair to take a peek inside, and his breathing ca out fiery, "You better know your body’s amazing, who are you trying to seduce with all that jiggle when you walk?"

Yin Mo slapped his hand away, adjusting the straps and frowned, "There’s no jiggle, this dress is tight-fitting, and the pads are fixed, don’t make stuff up."
