Chapter 1099: Chapter 1099: They Can’t Leave This Building

In the vast hundred-square-ter lounge, only a dim yellow light bulb shone overhead.

This place was barren and sunless; the glass walls around were sealed with cent, lacking in human warmth and sunlight, comparable to a purgatory.

Just standing here, Yin Mo could feel the overwhelming despair and loneliness.

If… He Chen’s mother truly was locked here, how did she endure these years?

Yin Mo worriedly glanced sideways, hesitantly saying, “Auntie is not here; maybe I was wrong…”

He Chen hadn’t spoken, but his sharp gaze swept around.

After a mont, he walked to the sink, staring at the water-beaded basin wall, his eyes swirling with stormy waves.

Yin Mo followed him, took a closer look, and was shocked, “This… the water droplets have not dried, the person hasn’t gone far.”

He Chen licked his molar, pulled out his phone from his pocket, and dialed a call, “He’s headquarters, five minutes.”

After hanging up, He Chen planted his palms on either side of the sink, closing his eyes, breathing deeply.

Yin Mo, sowhat puzzled, tugged at his shirt, “Don’t worry, I have access to the monitoring system here, why don’t we…”

Suddenly, He Chen turned and held her tightly, his movents quick and urgent.

He hugged Yin Mo tightly, buried his head in her neck, “She’s really here…”

Yin Mo hesitated, then wrapped her arms around his back, softly comforting, “So shall we go out and search?”

“No need.” He Chen closed his eyes tightly, hugging the soft woman firmly, “They can’t get out of this building.”

As he spoke, his phone vibrated again.

He Chen swiped to answer, and Ah Yong’s voice ca through, “Brother Chen, there’s movent downstairs. Thirteen off-road vehicles just arrived and entered the parking lot, with Nia State license plates but no markings on the vehicles.”

“Let…them…in.” He Chen enunciated each word slowly, his eyes opening flooded with a dark murderous intent.

Ah Yong acknowledged, ready to hang up when he saw commotion on the street, speaking gravely, “Brother Chen, it seems another group has arrived.”

He couldn’t tell if they were enemies or friends, as he didn’t recognize them.

Damn!

Ah Yong hid in the shadows, squinting at the two jeeps parked by the road, “Brother Chen, there are only six people; I can take care of them.”

“No need.” He Chen led Yin Mo out of the lounge, sat on the sofa, and ordered softly, “Ah Tai will be here soon; co up together.”

In the office, He Chen lazily crossed his legs, his posture casual, yet his eyes were shadowed as if poisoned.

Yin Mo quietly opened her phone, accessing the building’s surveillance footage, quickly observing the activity at each entrance.

Clearly, He Chen hadn’t planned to leave, and Yin Mo didn’t urge him; as long as they were sure Auntie was still in the building, they’d find her sooner or later.

After a while, Yin Mo looked up slowly, her expression sowhat grave, “Are we just going to wait here? What if Rong Manli decides to harm Auntie…”

He Chen replied confidently, his tone fierce yet mocking, “If Rong Manli wanted to kill her, she wouldn’t have kept her alive this long.”

The person had been hidden in the lounge for years without any action, besides… He Qing was still in his hands; Rong Manli likely wouldn’t dare take the risk.

As He Chen finished speaking, the quiet corridor outside echoed with the sound of the elevator arriving.

Yin Mo imdiately sat upright, her expression vigilant, staring at the office door.

“Relax, darling.” He Chen patted her shoulder, playing with a lighter in his other hand, “In a mont, anything goes.”

The chaotic footsteps grew closer.

When Rong Manli entered the office with four n in black, her first reaction was to look at the bookshelf.

The concealed door was still open, showing He Chen and the others had already been inside.

Rong Manli leisurely withdrew her gaze, wearing a superficial smile, “Ah Chen, you’re still so impolite, trespassing in an office, that’s illegal, you know?”

“If Madam Rong spares the chatter, your son might live a few more days.”

He Chen, holding a cigarette, gestured towards Rong Manli disdainfully, with a wicked arrogance.

Rong Manli, carrying her bag, sat at the boss’s desk, propping her head with one hand as she glanced at He Chen, “You’ve intruded into the office and seen what you shouldn’t; have you found who you’re looking for?”

He Chen pressed his lips down slightly, “Not yet.”

Rong Manli chuckled triumphantly, “So when do you plan to leave Parma? Or should I personally send you off?”

Without the household uncle present, Rong Manli seed to reveal her true nature.

She no longer pretended or maintained hypocrisy, straightforward and malicious.

“Who are you to make him leave?” Yin Mo defended, especially given He Chen’s tragic background, faced with the household’s slander and expulsion, which further stirred Yin Mo’s protective instincts.

She wanted to protect He Chen.

Rong Manli looked down at Yin Mo with an extrely disdainful gaze, then leaned back in the boss’s chair, laughing mockingly, “Miss Yin, when a woman is too forward, she loses her worth. You support him like this, he might not appreciate it; aren’t you afraid he’ll move on to his true love once he’s tired of you?”

Yin Mo was most annoyed by such conceited talk; she could understand it, but needed ti to process.

It took a few seconds before Yin Mo spoke, her face icy, “So, Cheng Li was your arrangent.”

Rong Manli’s expression didn’t change, but her fingers curled a bit.

Yin Mo stared at her, “The He Family really is a small-ti household. With such dirty, disgusting thods from the mistress, no wonder the Hei’s, famous in Parma, can’t squeeze their way in.”

“Yin Mo, shut your mouth!” Rong Manli slamd the table, as if touched on a sensitive topic, her once graceful cheek muscles twitched, revealing a hint of ferocity, “Your verbal skills might be impressive, but after tonight, let’s see what you’ll fight with.”

Rong Manli, throughout her life, hated anyone questioning her status; glaring fiercely, she looked at the four n at the door, commanding directly, “Capture them both; no matter the ans, I must learn my son’s whereabouts.”

The four n in black advanced.

They moved agilely, their actions synchronized, much more imposing than those on the negative third floor, each strike full of lethal intent.

These n were First-Class rcenaries from the Nia State rcenary Group.

Simultaneously, Yun Lih at the Shang Family Old House received a call from Yun Ling, seemingly out of nowhere.

“Brother, still in Parma?”

Yun Lih sat in Shang Lu’s dicine Garden, leisurely sipping a beer, “Why? Got sothing?”

Yun Ling boasted, “I’m in Parma’s business district, just accepted a high-paying job; want to co watch the fun?”

Yun Lih instinctively wanted to refuse, but held back, asking, “Who ordered it?”
