Alice kept punching in anger when soone held her hand. She paused and glanced back to find Diane standing behind her, fully well and glowing too.

The elixir healed her completely and though it did not heal her mind, this did not an Diane would not be able to heal by herself.

"Why did... You stop ?" Alice asked.

"Alice?" She called, just to be sure she wasn’t making a mistake.

"Yeah?" Alice answered,

"Alice," she called, this ti in relief. And then she said, "I am also angry." She looked at the gauntlets. "Can I have that for a sec?" Alice, without asking any questions, took off the gauntlets and handed them to her.

Diane wore the gauntlets, and her face contorted in anger as she let out a scream of rage and slamd her fists on Big Stach’s body. She didn’t have the sa strength as Alice, and she wasn’t awakened, so she wouldn’t be able to use the full strength of the gauntlet, but she was still able to smash his body. She was angry.

So angry that she could not keep it in her heart.

She took it all out on this headless body, and then her eyes fell on his lower half, which was still intact.

She gritted her teeth and then stood up.

"How did you do it?" She asked Alice. "How did you bring out the flas?"

"Hells fla?" Alice asked and Diane turned to the body, stretching out her hands and screaming out with all her might,

"Hells fla."

Alice was going to say it didn’t work that way but to her surprise, it did. Flas, weaker than the one she had released from the gauntlets, and burned Big Stach’s lower body. (He should’ve just been called Big Beard)

The flas burned Big Stach while Diane scread, the hurt in her voice weakening Alice’s heart. And those screams turned into tears of agony and despair.

Alice held Diane’s hand, lowered it, and then hugged her.

"I’m sorry for coming too late." She said, sincerely from her heart. "If I had been a bit early..."

Diane cried but she shook her head.

"It’s okay. I’m just grateful that you ca after all."

Alice looked at her sadly and brushed her hair back. The girl with the unique hair color.

Big Stach liked unique things and was quick to notice them, so Diane often dyed her hair, refusing to attract his attention.

But sohow, she did and she got into this ss.

This hideous ss.

The grounds started vibrating as a good number of footsteps approached.

"Diane, I’m going to take care of the rest." Alice said, picking up a clean sheet to cover her with. "I need you to go down to where the rest of the dogs are. Take them far from the building because things might get ssy. I’ll be out shortly."

"Wait, what are you going to do? Let’s just escape now." Diane said, quite selfishly but Alice wouldn’t bla her.

In this hell hole, it was every man for himself.

But Alice did not plan to abandon anyone, not this ti.

"It’s okay." She said. "Keep the gauntlets. And use it if anyone gets in your way."

"Wha... What are you talking about?" Diane asked. It was strange. The way Alice was speaking.

She had never heard Alice care for anyone else besides herself, so caring for her to the point of giving her her weapon was unbelievable.

She caught Alice’s arm.

"Wait, you aren’t planning to escape without , are you?" She asked and Alice looked at her. There was fear in her eyes.

She didn’t want to be left here. Even if Alice had given her her gauntlets, she was not confident that she would be able to escape if Alice abandoned them.

She didn’t want to have to pass through the torture every day of her life. She would run mad.

Her mind was already breaking after that happened that night, so, one more day and she would...

"Not to worry," Alice said, placing her hand on hers and smiling in the most carefree manner. "This girl’s got everything under control."

Diane stared, stunned. This was the first ti she had seen such a bright smile on her face. Ah, she had changed.

"Alright." She nodded and released her grip.

With the gauntlets, she would be able to burn her way through till she got to where the others were having dinner.

"I’ll trust you this ti." She yelled and started running towards the hole.

"And I won’t betray your trust. This ti." Alice said, confidently.

Diane was relieved to hear that. Wherever Alice had gone, whatever had happened to her, it changed her. Not just in appearance alone but her heart had changed too.

She never thought there would be a day when she would see Alice smile like that. It eased her heart.

’Please, don’t die.’ she whispered in her heart as she ran as fast as she could.

Diane was gone and the footsteps kept gathering, more and more people adding up to attack her together.

She closed her eyes, watching with her third eye as Diane fled up the stairs, heading towards the dining hall. She was glad she did not escape on her own.

There were a few obstacles but Dinae took care of them quite well. Well, before she was a victim of abuse, she was a fierce Dog who knew how to bite as hard as her bark.

’Wow, look at her go. I think those gauntlets have found their owner.’ she thought.

Diane successfully got to the dining hall safely and started rallying everyone.

*Alice, you’ve killed soone before, haven’t you?* Leo suddenly asked and Alice opened her eyes. What did he want from her this ti?

"Yeah. Lots." She answered unbothered. "I’ve poisoned people, stabbed them in their sleep, and..." She stopped ntioning and asked, "Is there a point you want to make?"

*It’s normally hard for people to kill so rcilessly if it’s their first ti.* He said.

"Yeah, the first ti. But it’s not my first so I wouldn’t bat an eye." She said and though seeming unbothered, it did bother her. All those deaths were ordered by the den and she could not refuse.

She rembered her first ti killing. She had a really hard ti and almost got caught, but she made it out.

Yet, because she made a mistake, even with a completed mission, she was starved and flogged, being reminded of the consequences of a single flaw.

And so, she hardened her heart.

Maybe it was because she visualized her tornter in the face of her victims but she was able to carry out killing without any flaw henceforth.

"Leo, I’m no righteous hero. You should know that." She said, staring simply as she saw fit.

*I understand.* He said. *It’s not like I was looking for a righteous hero to begin with.* He added.

Whatever did he an by that? But they could not hold their conversation any longer since the gathering adversary had finally arrived.

*They’re out of the building.* Leo announced, referring to Diane and the crowd of young ones.

Alice nodded.

Since all the henchn were gathering to take her out, they would have less trouble getting out.

She turned around.

Now, all that remained was to take care of the filth that had gathered in front of her.

Derek and Jack were back, leading all the henchn to take down Alice, who had taken down their boss without breaking a sweat.

How did they think they could achieve that?

"You’re going down." Derek declared, pointing at her with his bat and she smirked.

"I don’t think so." She said, "The only one going down is you..." she pointed at him and then pointed at the floor. "And this building." Her smirk turned maniacal as she raised her foot and stomped heavily on the ground, shaking the entire foundation. "So, have fun."

She flew up, breaking the ceiling with her bare hands and making her way above ground.

She was going to bury them all.
