The Fate Of The World Is In My Hands, But All I Want To Do Is Eat! Chapter 445: Here it is
Sung-min cleared his throat and finally let go of my hand as we stood in the living room.
"Alright," he said, his tone almost reluctant, as if I was forcing him to give the tour. He could just say no, though. All I had to do was pester him so more.
Well, he probably already knows that, that’s why he’s going ahead with this, hehe.
"You said you wanted a tour." He said and I nodded, pretending not to notice how his voice dipped at the end.
We started from the living room. The floor-to-ceiling windows reflected the sea behind us, the colors of of the setting sun spreading slowly across the glass.
"This is the living room," he said, and I almost laughed.
"I figured," I replied, trying to keep my voice light. I an, it was obvious that this was a living room.
He didn’t seem to catch my teasing. His gaze wandered to the ceiling, as if trying to recall sothing.
"The remote for the blinds should be... sowhere around here," he muttered as he suddenly lowered his body, checking under the first layer of the table. "I don’t really use it so I don’t rember where I put it."
"Hm," I tilted my head. "Do you live here or just haunt it?"
He gave a look... the kind that said don’t push it. but it made smile anyway.
"Ah, there it is." I pointed at the remote next to the small table vase. I an, it’s always been in one position and since he never used it, I figured I’d find it in the sa place I found it the last ti.
He picked the remote and then pushed a button.
The blinds he was referring to, were blinds that covered up the excessive amount of light seeping in front the glass.
The blinds slowly lowered and shut out the light completely. And as soon as the light was shut off, an automatic light switch kicked off and the lights in the house turned on.
"That’s how you close the windows." He said and I nodded, feeling impressed. I an, he was soone who rarely used it so I was impressed he knew how to close the windows.
We moved on, going to tour the doors on the lower floor.
He opened a door down the hall and blinked, his expression seeming uncertain as he pondered.
"This one’s... storage, I think." He said.
I peeked inside. Empty shelves. Just dust and silence. I rolled my eyes back to him with a raised eyebrow.
"You think?"
But he didn’t respond and simply shut the door
He pointed vaguely to another door.
"That one too." He said.
"Let guess, also a storage?" I asked and he paused, pondering once again and answered,
"Maybe."
I bit back a laugh. "You sound so sure of your own house."
"I never had a reason to use half of it," he said, voice quieter this ti.
Man, he was so clueless when it was his own house. I know it’s huge but a normal person would’ve toured around it a few tis, especially since he has nothing doing until he gets called or dispatched on a mission.
He did this the sa ti the last ti I was here.
I an, I was soone he just t and he could sense my fear so he detached himself from , despite my role to take care of him, so he didn’t give a tour like this.
But when he finally decided that I wasn’t a threat, he toured around, calling every room besides his, a storage room. But not every room, you see. There was one room that he didn’t call a storage.
We reached the kitchen next. It was clean. Too clean.
As if it has just been made and getting ready to be used.
It’s not like Sung-min never used the kitchen but he just... Rarely did. And whenever he did, he made sure to clean it thoroughly to the point you wouldn’t even know he just used it.
You could say he was a neat freak when it ca to his kitchen. Sothing white odd for soone of his temperant.
"You can use anything you want," he said to . "Just... don’t rearrange things."
"I won’t," I promised, though I already knew I’d end up changing small things. I’m not as tall as him or have psychokenesis so I can’t pick the things that are kept too high daily.
I have to bring them down.
"Let’s go."
This tour wasn’t very much a tour but it was manageable, I guess. This much should be enough if I want to roll around, acting like I’ve lived her for the past couple of years.
When we reached the stairs, he stopped, resting a hand lightly on the railing.
As soon as he did this, I blinked. He wasn’t going to do it, right? I an, that’s the dumbest shit he could pull right now.
"This... Is the stairs..." he said and I burst out laughing.
Who in their right minds would introduce the stairs?
It’s almost like walking towards a door and saying, ’This is a door,’ Completely hilarious shit.
Sung-min... You almost manage to make laugh.
And to think he’d stay completely clueless because he genuinely doesn’t know what he’s doing.
"What’s funny?" He asked, after looking at for a while, trying to understand what cracked up.
"You are, silly." I said. "But don’t worry about it. It’s a nice trait to be funny."
He tilted his head, like a robot who had been given an unreadable command.
I still had so small laughs left and chuckled.
This... Was going to be fun.
"Most of the rooms are empty too." Sung-min said as we walked up the room.
"Also storage?" I asked, laughing softly and he sighed.
"Yes. Sothing like that."
His shoulders looked a little heavy from behind and I could o my image what sort of emotions he was carrying in his heart.
Will he tell if I ask?
I don’t know but there’s no harm in trying.
I walked up to him and grabbed his hand. He glanced back at from over his shoulder and I smiled.
"Then, you won’t mind if I decide to fill this place up with so life, will you?"
He looked at puzzled for a second and asked, "What does that an?"
