Alice once again sensed an assassin on their way ho. She wondered how many they would send but it didn’t matter, honestly. Because, no matter how many they sent, she would make sure to kill them all.

Not like she was using her own hands. And Micheal seed to have guessed sothing like that would keep happening so he ’stalked’ Alice once more.

Anyway, she simply handed them to him to deal with, gradually accumulating the reward she would give to him when the ti ca.

Aside from the assassin event, things were going smoothly. She just hoped Mark would not catch on and worry for nothing.

He was a worrywart even when he knew she could handle things like this. But she died exactly hating his worrying attitude. Having soone like that in her life was rather helpful.

The next day was the sa. Going to school to watch others practice, heading ho at the end of the day, and waiting to sense an assassin.

But this ti, the assassins did not wait in a corner or try to hide their presence. They ambushed their car head-on, vexing Alice to the point she wanted to crush their skulls with her own hands.

This was the point when Mark discovered that sothing had been going on and Alice was not telling him.

The assassins, this ti, were skilled. They seed A-class, but sothing told Alice they were far stronger than the average A-class. When comparing their stats to Mark who was panicking on her behalf in the car, he didn’t even co close.

It was as if they were S-class or sothing. Maybe they were close to a breakthrough. And there were two of them both covering their lower face with a mask and glaring at Alice with the sa murderous intent the others had shown her up till this mont.

"Your employer is so relentless," Alice exclaid, nonchalantly looking out the window at them. "Is it that she just can’t stand to have walk the sa Earth as her after losing to or she can’t afford to lose again to tomorrow?" She asked with a provoking gaze but they did not respond.

She simply shrugged her shoulders and rested her back on the chair.

"Hm, maybe her father forgot one little bit of detail when he was blindly sending assassins to take care of the girl his daughter despised. I am..."

"Cut the crap!" One of the assassins snapped at her. "This is your end so don’t try to act cocky."

Alice frowned and turned to glare at them.

"Did you just call cocky?" Her energy began to flare, but Leo placed his hand on her shoulder, and she sighed, shoving her fingers through her hair. "Ah, right. I should control myself. I don’t want to get blood on my hands. But..." She glanced back at Leo, "Can’t I crush that one with my hand? They seriously get on my nerves."

"No, just leave them." He said and turned to Mark, who was confused. Why were they so relaxed? These were skilled assassins whose occupation was to kill their fellow humans.

He could sense how skilled they were. If they made a mistake, they would end up dead at their hands.

He knew Alice was equally skilled, but he believed that was when dealing with monsters, and her skills could not be compared to the accuracy of assassins who had been in that line of work for years.

"Alice," Mark called softly, displaying his worried eyes but Alice waved it away.

"Oh, don’t worry. It will only take a few seconds," She smiled at him, trying to reassure him. "And look, I’m not even getting out of the car. To make you worry less, Leo even put up a barrier so they can’t do anything to us."

"Does that an you won’t go out to fight them?" He asked but Alice shook her head, making him relieved but at the sa ti confused.

If she did not plan to take care of them then how would they get rid of them on their tail?

They were lucky to park the car at the alley as soon as the assassins ambushed and did not cause a commotion to the public. But they couldn’t exactly leave them be.

’Maybe I should call the agency,’ Mark thought but before he could bring out his phone, Alice remarked.

"Oh, they’re coming closer," He raised his head shocked.

"What?"

The assassins probably wanted to take down the barrier first. It was impossible unless they were at Alice or Leo’s level, but still, just defending wouldn’t cut it.

But still, watching them try in vain was so satisfying. They tried using their knives, but it didn’t work. They tied using artifacts and even barrier jamrs.

’Ooh, they ca prepared.’

But still, none of it worked.

Pissed, they clicked their tongues and kicked the barrier as hard as they could but none of it worked. Neither their weapons nor their incredible strength could make a dent on the barrier.

"This little shit. Co out here, you coward, and die by my hands." They boldly dared to say and this made Alice’s mood turn sour. She didn’t want to watch anymore and she hoped they would die a grueso death.

No matter how powerful they were, they still wouldn’t be a match for a veteran S-class.

"Micheal, you can stop hiding now." Alice said in a calm and silent voice but it was enough to bring Micheal out of his hiding spot.

Even if she could not sense him, she knew for sure that he was always following her. Whether it was out of curiosity or because he wanted to keep an eye on her, knowing he would be of better use to her if he was close by... Whatever it was... It was very convenient for her.

"They sent you two packages this ti, Alice," he said, startling the assassins, who turned at full alert at where they heard his voice, but there was no one there. "You’re put on such a high pedestal," he said, and they turned to find him leaning on the door and facing Alice.

"What the hell?!" They exclaid. "Who’s this creep?"

Micheal’s shoulder slightly flinched and Alice cackled.

"They’re all yours."

Surely, anyone who saw Micheal in his white mask would wonder if he was a creep who liked to scare people by appearing out of nowhere wearing a plain white mask that made it difficult to see his face or know what he was thinking.

"I feel so irked, Alice." Michael said and shook his head. "What to do? I don’t think I can give them a quick death."

"Oh, it’s okay." She stretched her hand out of the barrier and patted his hair while smiling brightly. "Make it as torturous as you can. I’d appreciate it, haha."

"Very well."

Alice turned to Mark, who was even more confused at the sudden situation, and said,

"Drive, Mark. We no longer have any business here."
