Chapter 34: Chapter 33 Going Mad Chapter 34: Chapter 33 Going Mad Outside the courtyard

Jiang Yu chased after her and scolded, “Stop right there!”

Ruo Xuan did stop; then she turned her head and curiously asked, “What did you say your father was again, a General? And your grandmother, what kind of Lady with Imperial Orders? Are your family mbers all that impressive?”

Jiang Yu couldn’t help but feel proud, thinking that this little pauper must be scared and envious, right?

After all, there was no one in the Provincial Governnt Office who didn’t envy her!

She slightly lifted her chin, boasting proudly, “My grandfather is the Great General of loyalty and bravery, and my grandmother is a Fourth Rank Lady with Imperial Orders. In the whole military camp my grandfather is the most powerful, and throughout the Provincial Governnt Office, my grandmother holds the highest Rank. My father is a General, my mother is also a Lady with Imperial Orders, my second uncle is the governor, and his wife is likewise a Lady with Imperial Orders. All the won in my family are Ladies with Imperial Orders. My elder brother is a Chiliarch, he just needs one more rit for promotion to Deputy General!”

Ruo Xuan nodded, “It does sound rather impressive!”

Indeed, very impressive!

She morized every single one of them—these were all fortunes snatched from her family.

So wicked, she would reclaim them one by one!

After hearing her words, Jiang Yu beca even more haughty, “I’ll tell you! My grandfather and my father are about to make a great achievent, and then our family will be ennobled. My grandfather will beco a Marquis, my father the Princely Heir, and I will be the legitimate daughter of the Marquis Mansion. We will move to the capital in the future, and I’m even set to beco the wife of a Prince, even the Crown Princess Consort, what do you say now, do you still dare not to salute ?”

These were things she overheard her mother and father discussing at night. Her mother had said if their family could be ennobled, she would have the qualifications to marry a Prince, and they must cultivate her well.

So, lately her mother had been inquiring everywhere for a good Master to teach her reading and writing, to cultivate her into a lady skilled in zither, Go, calligraphy, and painting.

She would definitely work hard.

Ruo Xuan just shook her head, “I dare not.”

At this mont, the old nurse taking care of Jiang Yu brought over a box of pastries and placed it on the stone table under the date tree, “Missy, do invite Lady Xuanbao over for so pastries!”

Upon hearing this, Jiang Yu said, “Aren’t the pastries from my ho beautiful? Your family is so poor, you’ve probably never even seen such, right? Quickly salute , and after you do, I will allow you to eat!”

Ruo Xuan blinked her big eyes, a face full of puzzlent, “But I don’t know how to salute, could you teach ?”

Jiang Yu looked down on her with disdain, “As expected, the poor need not observe etiquette, nor even know how to salute! Watch closely, I’ll only teach you once! Make sure you see clearly!”

What child doesn’t like playing the Master? It gives them a trendous sense of superiority.

Thus, Jiang Yu placed her left hand level over her chest, with her right hand pressing upon the left, knees slightly bent, she bowed her head and respectfully said, “Yu’er pays respects to the lady, may the lady have prosperity and good health.”

She perfectly executed the full courtesy salute.

Ruo Xuan slightly lifted her chin, giving Jiang Yu a side glance with a particularly cold and aloof air, “You are excused from the courtesy.”

The nurse thought the two children were rely playing, smiling as she watched Xuanbao, thinking how adorable could a little girl be?

This little imitation of the adults was just so endearing!

Jiang Yu, upon hearing this, stood up, then suddenly paused, belatedly realizing: Was that wretched girl tricking her into saluting her?

Damn it!

“Horrible girl, soone co and beat her to death for !”

The nurse was taken aback, wondering why the young miss was throwing a tantrum again?

And besides, this little girl from the Ruo Family was no maidservant that one could just beat up on a whim!

Weren’t they just playing together?

It was always like this with the young miss, resorting to hitting others whenever she couldn’t get her way in play!

The nurse’s own granddaughter had been terribly bullied by the young miss.

She tried to reason, “Missy, we are guests, and just now we were only playing a ga.”

Jiang Yu didn’t care; she felt that Xuanbao was challenging her. Her father had always said, what does it matter being the host or the guest? If bullied by soone else’s child, bully them back! Sotis when adults can’t step in and the servants can’t lift a hand, one must fight back themselves!

Children fighting and making noise was normal, and it wasn’t sothing for the adults to manage.

“Wretched maid, how dare you make salute you! You’ve truly turned the Heavenly Dao upside down!” Jiang Yu, mimicking so scolding she’d heard sowhere, stepped forward…

“Slap slap!” She lifted her hand and forcefully struck her own cheeks twice!

The nurse scread, “Missy, why are you hitting yourself?”

Jiang Yu, tears erging from the pain, wore a face full of horror: She wasn’t clear on what was happening either!

She had ant to hit that little pauper, so why did her hand defy her commands and strike herself?

Ruo Xuan’s face showed shock, “Has the young miss gone mad? Only mad people hit themselves.”

Jiang Yu was furious, “How dare you! You’re the mad one! I will beat you to death!”

Jiang Yu swung her fist toward Ruo Xuan…

Then, when the adults rushed out upon hearing the commotion, they saw Jiang Yu punching herself, blow after blow!

Lei Popo and Madam Liu were both stunned.

Madam Liu, “Has she lost her mind?”

Lei Popo, “Xuanbao, co here quickly!”

Ruo Xuan threw herself into Lei Popo’s embrace, looking utterly innocent, “Grandma, what’s wrong with her?”

Lei Popo, thinking Xuanbao was frightened, quickly held her tight, “It’s alright, don’t be afraid, Xuanbao!”

Ruo Shui had just set down the handcart and rushed out. She was startled at first but, seeing that it wasn’t her daughter, she cald down.

Madam Zhou was shocked as well, but regaining her senses, she urgently yelled at the dazed old maids and maidservants on the side, “Are you all dead? Why aren’t you stopping the young miss?”

Madam Zhou’s heart was in chaos. Could her granddaughter be possessed? After all, a master had cast spells on the Ruo Family!

She had never dared to bring her granddaughter here before. This ti it was only because she herself had to leave and the girl insisted on coming that she reluctantly agreed.

The old maids and maidservants hurriedly stepped forward to restrain her from harming herself.

Jiang Yu was grabbed by the maidservants and old maids so she couldn’t move, and only then did she calm down. She was in pain all over, so much that she couldn’t help but start crying.

She pointed at Ruo Xuan and cried to Madam Zhou, “Wuwu, grandma, Yu’er is in so much pain! Help beat her to death! How dare that lowly commoner demand a greeting from ! Beat her to death!”

Ruo Xuan blinked her innocent eyes, looking as guiltless as could be, “When did you greet ? Weren’t you showing how to greet? Your servants can all testify to that!”

Madam Zhou looked toward the household’s old maid.

The old maid sowhat hesitated to tell the truth, but what ca out of her mouth was, “Lady Xuanbao is correct, the young miss was indeed just teaching Lady Xuanbao how to greet.”

Madam Zhou gave her a cold look.

The old maid was so frightened she lowered her head, not understanding why she had suddenly spoken the truth!

Hearing this, Jiang Yu beca even angrier. Being spoiled and capricious at ho, she blurted out, “Lying servant! Grandma, beat her to death! Have her beaten to death!”

For a three-year-old child to speak such venom, Lei Popo decided she would not let Xuanbao play with her anymore. She said to Madam Zhou, “This child must be cursed. You better take her back and find a doctor to look at her!”

Madam Zhou didn’t dare stay any longer, frightened to the point of forgetting to investigate the cause. If she stayed any longer, she was afraid she would end up with a mad granddaughter, or even tarnish the Jiang Family’s reputation!

“Quickly, carry Yu’er to the carriage!”

The maidservants and old maids hurriedly lifted her up.

Jiang Yu didn’t want to go; she hadn’t finished teaching Ruo Xuan a lesson!

She couldn’t understand why, when she was obviously intending to hit Xuanbao, she ended up hitting herself. Feeling resentful, she grabbed a plate filled with pastries from the stone table and threw it, “I will beat you to death! To death!…”

The plate flew out!

Lei Popo was so frightened that she quickly turned around, shielding Xuanbao with her back, covering her granddaughter tightly!

“Ahh!” a scream rang out, startling the old hens in the backyard into flight!

The plate flew out and, after striking Madam Zhou in the face, fell to the ground with a “clang,” shattering into pieces.

“Ah… my eye! My eye hurts so much! Soone, help! Quick, to the dical clinic!” Madam Zhou clutched her right eye tightly, blood oozing continuously from between her fingers.

The servants of the Jiang Family were in a panic. “Soone help! The old lady is injured!”

The guards outside rushed in and carried Madam Zhou into the carriage, and the group left in a hurry.

Lei Popo released Ruo Xuan, still frightened, “Fortunately, it was her own granddaughter that went mad and hurt her; no need to compensate with silver.”

Madam Zhou was just being carried out the door and heard this. It angered her so much that she felt a pain in her chest and spouted a mouthful of old blood!

The guards hastened their steps even more in fright!

Ruo Xuan nodded her little head and looked up at the blue sky, thinking that the retribution of the Heavenly Dao was indeed fair!

Today, she rely cast a small spell that did not require much Spiritual Power, one that caused harm to both others and oneself, and retribution followed.

Just wait!

There will be more to co.

Who asked them to be so wicked?
