Chapter 43 Extre Dedication
“You must let know when you catch them,” Wang Feng said, though his heart was filled with cold rage. This ti, these people had really crossed a line by trying to hurt Bei Yunxue.
He would get revenge no matter what.
“Don’t worry. I’ll definitely let you know,” He Tian said, aware of Wang Feng’s desire for vengeance.
“Have you looked at the thing I gave you,” Gui Jianchou said, pulling Wang Feng out of his thoughts.
Wang Feng knew what thing it was that Gui Jianchou was referring to. “I already know it like the back of my hand,” Wang Feng replied.
“Hm?” A strange look ford on Gui Jianchou’s face. Then he pointed at a spot on his chest and asked, “What’s this pressure point called?”
“The Xuan Ji point,” Wang Feng answered imdiately after a brief glance.
“And here?” Gui Jianchou’s finger slid further upwards.
“That’s the Tian Tu point,” Wang Feng answered in his usual calmness.
At this point, He Tian was not the only one who was taken aback; even Gui Jianchou’s expression changed slightly.
“It was only yesterday that I’ve given him the human anatomical chart,” Gui Jianchou thought. “Could it be that he had morized everything already? It’s either that, or he had so prior knowledge.”
After that, Gui Jianchou pointed to a few more pressure points, all of which Wang Feng identified flawlessly. A few of them had even confounded He Tian, and yet Wang Feng could identify them with ease.
Gui Jianchou was now fully convinced that Wang Feng had committed every single pressure point of the human body to mory. What a terrifying feat of mory indeed.
“Co see when you fully recover. I’ll be teaching you other things by then,” Gui Jianchou said. After that he left together with He Tian.
Gui Jianchou had co swiftly and had now left with equal haste. It had not even been five minutes since he got here.
After Gui Jianchou left, Wang Feng imdiately activated his X-ray vision to gauge his own wounds, which had already begun scarring. Surprisingly, even his broken bone, courtesy the bullet that penetrated it, was fully healed.
In other words, he was completely fine barring a few surface wounds.
He lay in the hospital bed for a night. Wang Feng was discharged when Bei Yunxue ca bright and early the next morning. His injuries no longer posed any inconvenience. Now he just had to let them slowly heal up.
Wang Feng flat out refused to be prescribed any drugs. No drug possessed a healing effect that ca close to his training.
At first, Bei Yunxue was a little concerned about Wang Feng’s injuries. However, upon Wang Feng’s insistence, she had no choice but to acquiesce to Wang Feng’s request to be discharged.
She hated the sll of hospitals anyway, so she might as well take Wang Feng back ho to recuperate; at least nobody would disturb him at ho.
Due to the shocking nature of Wang Feng’s deeds, the hospital’s entrance was sward with people, all of whom were eager to catch a glimpse of Wang Feng. It did not matter that only a day had passed since the incident.
This rang true especially for those reporters who had unleashed their inner paparazzi by staying up all night just so they could have a chance to get first dips on any information regarding the incident.
Bei Yunxue and Wang Feng used the hospital’s backdoor to avoid the hassle. As they left, they could not help but ponder over the sheer preposterousness of the whole thing; how did everything co to such a point that they had to use the frigging backdoor just to get discharged from a hospital?
The entire thing was so ridiculous that Bei Yunxue and Wang Feng were rendered speechless. When their car pulled up at the house, Wang Feng detected a familiar scent, which relaxed him instantly. “Ho is best indeed,” he mused. “Here, I won’t have to worry about anything.”
No.1 Zhu Cheng had excellent security, so they would not have to worry about anyone sneaking in.
His bones no longer gave him any problems. His surface wounds still hurt a little, though they had a minimal effect on his general well-being.
When he got back to his room, Wang Feng did not sleep. Instead, he spent the entire night training in the art of Qi Gathering. He was unable to get Gui Jianchou’s words out of his mind; Gui Jianchou had ntioned sothing about teaching him other things.
When Wang Feng woke up the next morning, he discovered that the scabs on his wounds had already started to peel off. The pain in the wounds had vanished entirely.
Wang Feng could not help but feel surprised at the speed of his recovery. “Man, this art of Qi Gathering is really sothing else,” Wang Feng thought. “Looks like I’ll have to train even harder starting from now.”
When he opened the door of his bedroom, Wang Feng caught a whiff of a delicious scent from afar; Bei Yunxue had brought breakfast.
Breakfast was much more sumptuous than usual. Everything on the table was highly nutritious. It seed like Bei Yunxue had prepared the food especially for him.
Wang Feng glanced at Bei Yunxue and noted the sweat on her face that had yet to dry, the sight of which caused Wang Feng to feel a pang of emotion in his heart; he was deeply moved by what she had done for him. No doubt she had to travel very far just to buy all these things.
“Sister Xue, thank you,” Wang Feng said, reaching out gently to wipe the sweat from her face.
Just then, a voice rang out. “Hey! Keep your filthy hands to yourself, you damn pervert!” After that, he saw Tang Airou descending the stairs in a pair of high heels.
“Xiaoxue, don’t be fooled by this bastard’s human appearance. He’s literally an animal wearing a human skin,” Tang Airou said, pulling Bei Yunxue to her side. Tang Airou stared at Wang Feng vigilantly like he was her sworn enemy.
“You’re really all over the place, aren’t you?” Wang Feng said, his eyes flicking to Tang Airou for a brief mont. Great, now his good mood was totally obliterated.
“Humph, don’t you dare get all hands on Xiaoxue. Otherwise, don’t bla if I toss your ass into jail,” Tang Airou said, not showing a single hint of fear.
“Yeah? Just make sure you don’t fall into my hands first,” Wang Feng said calmly. Slowly, he sat down to enjoy his breakfast.
Tang Airou backed down instantly the mont she heard Wang Feng’s comnt. She knew very well what Wang Feng intended to do.
But since Bei Yunxue was beside her right now, she felt a surge of courage. She puffed out her chest and sneered coldly. “Don’t think I’m intimidated by you. Worst cos to worst we’ll both perish together,” she said.
“Ugh. You two...” Watching those two acting like the nesis of each other, Bei Yunxue felt as if her head was seconds away from blowing apart.
“Xiaoxue, thanks for preparing such a big breakfast for ,” Tang Airou said. All of a sudden, Tang Airou smiled and sat down facing Wang Feng. Then, she took a good half of the food on the table, pulling it towards herself, all the while staring at him smugly.
“Go ahead. Eat. I hope you swell up and turn into a ball of fat,” Wang Feng said snidely. Wang Feng did not attempt to take the food back. As despicable as he was, he would not steal from a woman.
It was true that he required a lot of calories right now. Still, it did not matter; his wounds would heal even without food.
“You—” Tang Airou had been drinking a glass of milk when Wang Feng spoke; the comnt had angered her so much that she spit out the liquid that was in her mouth.
Since Wang Feng was sitting right across her, every single drop of it had found its way onto Wang Feng’s body and face.
Uh-oh!
At this point, Bei Yunxue was not the only one who was stunned; even Tang Airou’s hand had moved inadvertently to cover her tiny mouth. It was as if both of them were anticipating Wang Feng to explode in fury.
Now that she thought about it, Tang Airou did feel a bit scared of Wang Feng. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. Wang Feng was the type of person who would not hesitate to trade wounds. The guy literally did not fear death at all.
Contrary to the two won’s expectations, however, Wang Feng did not get angry at all. Instead, he wiped the milk from his face with his hand and then went back to his breakfast.
He had already kissed Tang Airou more than once, why would he even care about sothing like this?
“Are you okay?” Tang Airou asked. Wang Feng’s outward calmness was starting to unnerve Tang Airou a little.
Smiling, Wang Feng stared at Tang Airou in a way that gave her goosebumps. “Why wouldn’t I be? Or could it be that you’re wishing for sothing to happen to ?”
“No. No.” Tang Airou said before lowering her head to eat breakfast. The obscene thoughts that Wang Feng was entertaining right then never even crossed her mind.
After breakfast, Wang Feng got changed and then left the villa with Bei Yunxue. Now that his wounds were almost fully recovered, he decided to drop by the jewelry shop to check things out.
He would feel bad if he let Bei Yunxue handle everything on her own after such a major incident. He wondered if the incident would affect the jewelry business.
Amid his musings, a dark look ford on Wang Feng’s face. The plan was to expand the jewelry store, but sothing like this happened instead. What foul luck they had.
“Hey, why are you following ?” Bei Yunxue asked all of a sudden, looking at Wang Feng in confusion.
Wang Feng was nonplussed, but he recovered quickly and answered, “I’m going with you to check out the shop.”
“No, no,” Bei Yunxue said, suddenly giving Wang Feng a shove. “Your wounds haven’t fully recovered yet. Stay ho and rest. Leave the shop to .”
“Are you worried about my wounds?” Wang Feng laughed all of a sudden. Then he raised his left arm. “My wounds are fine now.”
“Seriously?” Bei Yunxue asked. Seeing Wang Feng up and about had filled Bei Yunxue with doubt. She had seen Wang Feng’s wounds; there was practically a hole on his left shoulder. Surely, it was impossible for that kind of injury to heal in just two short days.
“Of course. It was that old man, the one who saved us last ti. He helped out. You have no idea, but the old man is actually the Divine Doctor of Hua Xia region. I heard he even had the ability to raise the dead,” Wang Feng said, grinning.
“Fine then,” Bei Yunxue said. Satisfied that Wang Feng was really okay, Bei Yunxue heaved a sigh of relief. But soon, sothing else ca to her. “Wait for here,” she said and then headed back into the house with small strides.
Five minutes later, as Wang Feng stared into the mirror and took stock of his own appearance, a wry smile was all he could manage.
Right now, he was wearing a black hat. Bei Yunxue had even forced him to wear a mask, as if she was trying to prevent other people from recognizing him.
As a matter of fact, Bei Yunxue was indeed afraid that other people might recognize Wang Feng. The incident a few days ago had quickly beco a major controversy in the entire city and Wang Feng had gained sudden popularity over the past few days. A lot of people were now hoping to et Wang Feng, so she had no choice but to disguise Wang Feng just in case. It was like having an outing with a celebrity or sothing.
“Alright, we’re good to go,” Bei Yunxue said, brushing her hands together as if she was imnsely satisfied with Wang Feng’s current get-up.
In the car, the wry smile never left Wang Feng’s face, though he did not bla Bei Yunxue for the disguise. She was doing this for his own good after all.
As the old Chinese proverb goes: Fa is man’s greatest fear while atiness is a pig’s greatest fear. For a man, being in the lilight would incite others to attack him; if a pig beca too aty, then it was ti for it to be sent to a slaughterhouse. Perhaps attaining fa was not such a great thing after all.
Upon their arrival at the jewelry shop, Wang Feng noticed that a large part of the restoration works on the broken glass had been completed; the glass door was now as good as new. Inside the shop, a few workers bustled about anxiously.
“Ah. Being rich does make things easier,” Wang Feng thought.
A crowd had gathered in the store’s vicinity. Onlookers were pointing fingers and whispering words to each other. It was as if the entire Zhu Hai City had learned of the major incident that had happened here a few days ago.
A lot of people ca here out of curiosity. Among the crowd, Wang Feng even saw a few reporters, whose caras were carefully concealed.
“These people are seriously too dedicated to their jobs,” Wang Feng thought, smiling wryly as he shook his head. “Life. Life had forced them to go through such lengths.”
But shortly, Wang Feng’s expression changed. The reporters seed to him like they had noticed sothing and were now heading towards their car.
It only took a re instant for their car to be completely engulfed by a throng of reporters.
Even though these reporters had never t Wang Feng during the past two days, Bei Yunxue was soone familiar to them. They knew that she was the boss behind the jewelry store.
If they managed to coax a few juicy tidbits out of Bei Yunxue, they would be able to reap huge rewards when they got back.
