Taira wouldn't miss this fight for anything. It was the most important one.

Shakti stepped forward to the instant cheers of her junior brothers and sisters.

Through seclusion training, Shakti now had a much more imposing aura. Even with her eyes hidden behind her hair, she imbued one with the feeling of being suppressed by a mountain.

She was a frightening specin to behold. But all Taira and Aveena could think about was just how desperately they needed an opportunity to get her alone.

Shakti's match began against a man much younger than herself.

But evidently, what he lacked in years he more than made up for in enthusiasm.

"HWAAAH..!"

The young man released an obnoxious wail as he perford an extrely complicated nunchuck routine.

It had very clearly taken years to master. Quite the impressive work to boot.

"Hi-yah!!"

The young man perford a flying kick through the air. His body glowed with an intense orange aura.

As he sailed toward Shakti, the towering goddess had yet to make a move.

She simply let her opponent fly closer to her until he was within her range with no way to back out.

When her opponent's flying kick missed (as any reputable martial artist will tell you they tend to) Shakti responded by delivering a swift chop to the neck.

The crack that followed told the entire cave that he was instantly paralyzed. This was only confird when he landed on the ground like a limp noodle.

Josh and his Sect mbers were horrified. The mbers of Black Myth were not.

"Woah...! One hit!"

"You're amazing, senior sister!"

"Strike a pose for us! Sothing nacing!"

Shakti was an awkward individual by nature. Faced with so much praise and adulation from her junior brothers and sisters, she didn't know what to do.

In a mont that would later cause her profound cosmic regret, she held up one of her arms in a show of strength.

The Cult went wild.

"What the hell!"

This was the first ti Taira or Aveena had seen Joshua upset about anything. His orange hair had taken on a unique inhuman glow, and his horns had grown further out of his head.

"Y-You didn't have to cripple him! He's just a kid and-"

"Raymond, go fix the kid so that the sect leader will stop crying."

Big Country moved from the shadows and lifted up the young man's body over his shoulder.

Following his Senior Sister's orders, he left the cavern chamber for a few minutes and ca back a couple of seconds later carrying a very confused young man in his arms.

"...I swear, I don't know what happened here."

No one from the Roaring Sound knew if they should laugh or cry.

Aveena stretched her body as she stood up from her place on Taira's body.

She crossed the distance between herself and the opposing Sect Leader in an instant- holding a small burlap bag out in front of her.

"A deal's a deal. It was nice to learn what little we could, so you have our thanks for the help."

Joshua didn't know if he had ever heard a more back-handed thank you in his life. However, he didn't know if he could complain about things much since he had just been well compensated for what was essentially ten minutes of work.

With these prival spirit pills, so could actually make the argunt that they had gained from this.

"Sure, dude... whatever.."

Joshua reached to take the bag, but Aveena held it firm.

Her full lips curled upward into a chilling smile that made Joshua rember the other part of their agreent.

"My husband and I look forward to your cooperation. Shall we discuss the plan so that no one is confused about their responsibilities?"

-

It had been a long ti since the assanbossm had been out and above ground.

Taira and Aveena wished that they could have given the cult so kind of celebration to look forward to, but unfortunately, they were under ti constraints that were too dire for that to be possible.

"Our deadline expires in 46 hours from now. We'll reach the human kingdom in around a quarter of that ti, so before then you should all just rest easy. We've brought changes of clothes for each of you and have prepared rations that aren't grain for once."

So of the cultists didn't need to hear anything else. Just eating real food again was an enticing enough offer on Aveena's part.

"You've all done exceptionally well… when we return ho we will hold a proper celebration for all of you and let you get so proper rest when we get back. My husband and I are very proud."

Aveena smiled at the cultists. They smiled back in response.

Though that only lasted a couple of seconds before Aveena inevitably beca overwheld by the sentint.

"Alright, alright, that's enough sentint for one afternoon… head up to your rooms and rest."

The cultists cupped their fists and bowed.

They started making their way towards the cabins where they would sleep like the dead.

But before they left, Taira called out to five of them who were different from the rest.

"Our little humans. Stay back a mont."

Raymond, Sawyer, Himari, Corey, and Saanvi paused just as they were heading up the stairs.

Internally, a few of them were quite afraid that they were about to be given supplental training.

However, it was nothing so upsetting.

"I wanted to ask… just how you are fitting in here. I'm aware our world can be a bit of an adjustnt."

Everyone knew Taira was not a conversationalist. Hearing him suddenly ask about their well-being was a shock of all ages.

"Well yeah, umm… everyone's really nice to us and stuff. My room back at the cult is nicer than the car I used to live in."

"I don't really feel like an outsider here anymore. And that's sothing I never thought I would be able to say."

Sawyer and Himari's testimonies contained a sentint that was shared by the rest of the group.

Taira seed uplifted by their words, if for only a mont.

But then, his gaze refocused as he turned his sights to the world below the clouds.

"I'm happy that you all are comfortable. Truly. That said… I feel it's my responsibility to warn you about the kind of things you might see when we step into the human lands. And instruct you on how to conduct yourselves."
