Caliste and Rachel had finally arrived at the dwarven kingdom as they could finally get a glance of it from far away. Different from other kingdoms, the dwarven kingdom was located underground, in so kind of giant cave.

The reason for that was that they wanted to be as close as possible to the molten core, their personal generator of energy.

Nevertheless, as the train began slowing over the city, Caliste and Rachel looked below them through the small windows of the train, and they could imdiately see a dozen dwarves running in the middle of the city, looking out of their minds.

They couldn’t hear them because of how thick the windows were, but it was almost obvious that they were shouting.

"Seems like sothing happened. Do you think it’s the cave?" Rachel asked with a little smirk on her face.

Caliste just shrugged. How could he determine such a thing without having talked to the King of Dwarves?

’Is it going to be Thorin?’ Caliste thought as the face of his old friend flashed in his mind. He wasn’t sure how he would react when he saw him, but he knew that it was ti to take his revenge on him. He needed to find Liana as soon as possible, and Thorin was the least of his worries.

The train finally reached the train station, and one dwarf welcod Rachel and Caliste right away as screams echoed from far away. It seed that sothing was happening within the Dwarven Territory.

"What’s happening?" Caliste asked a few seconds after getting out of the train.

The dwarf wasn’t sure himself. "I’m not too sure. I think it’s related to that new tunnel they found inside the mines. It’s been quite the problem for the past week. Ever since they discovered it, so strange things have been happening inside the mines."

"Are you a miner?"

He shook his head. "Nope, it’s just been spreading around the city like wildfire. Everyone knows about it."

Caliste nodded as suddenly, the entire place lost power, falling into darkness before regaining its light a second later.

Before Caliste could even ask a question, the dwarf answered.

"That’s been happening for the past week. So kind of problem with the Molten Core; we’re losing power a few tis every day. Though, as far as I know, it was said to be fixed soon."

Caliste frowned as he rembered reading about the two quests.

"The power has been going out ever since you discovered the tunnel?"

The dwarf frowned as he rubbed his forehead, trying to rember the tiline. "Now that you ntion it, I think so. Weird, right?"

"Weird, weird indeed," Caliste murmured under his breath as the dwarf began guiding them toward the Dwarven Castle where the King resided.

However, a few minutes after they arrived before it, the gates were closed, and there were dozens of dwarves hitting against the gates, trying to get in as they shouted atrocities.

"You useless king! Co out and fix this! What kind of trashy hero even are you!"

"That’s right! We’re the ones risking our lives in there. We’ve already had over ten of us disappear in the last week. Help us! And tell us the truth about the Molten Core! What’s happening? We want answers!"

It seed that the past week had been rough for the King of the Dwarves. A bunch of problems had suddenly appeared all over the territory, and they needed a lot of fixing.

"Please let us through!" the small dwarf guiding them muttered as he began pushing people left and right to try and make way to the front of the gates.

As they walked forward, Rachel and Caliste received strange glances from both sides from the dwarves, most of them full of disdain.

"Why are humans here? Are they the ones who caused this problem?"

"Probably! They are always causing problems!"

"Capture them! They must be the ones responsible."

The guards didn’t move an inch as they all held a huge hamr over their shoulders, having already seen Caliste and Rachel from far away.

"Wait... they’re from the Demonic Academy?"

"Students?"

"Are they here to help us?"

Then, people began noticing what they were wearing, and their opinions switched instantly. They almost began pleading for help and to "save" them from whatever curse had landed on the Dwarven Territory.

"Open the gates," a distant voice said coldly as the guards imdiately did so, blocking everyone except for Rachel and Caliste, who managed to slip by and enter the Dwarven Castle in one piece.

They received a few stares, but most of them were no longer filled with disdain. They were quite positive.

As Caliste and Rachel entered the castle, murmurs could still be heard from the outside as one of the dwarves seed to have recognized Rachel.

"I think that girl is the best student at the Demonic Academy. She’ll be able to fix our problems instantly. She’s much better than our lazy king who does nothing but sleep!"

"That’s right, we’re saved. She’ll save us from this curse!"

However, what those dwarves didn’t know was that Rachel would not help at all, leaving Caliste to fix this problem on his own, just like they had agreed back inside the train.

Caliste and Rachel walked inside the castle with confidence as the throne before them looked empty. There was no one sitting on it. Instead, there were two people on both sides of it, standing with their backs straight.

They seed to be the king’s advisors.

"Thank you for coming to help us. We appreciate it."

Rachel looked at the throne and couldn’t help but frown. "Where is the king? Does he not appreciate our presence?"

The king’s advisor gulped under her gaze as she imdiately tried to make things right, hesitating before speaking.

"The king is..."

He was trying to think of what he could say, as he knew very well what was going on with the King. However, he couldn’t tell them. It would only anger Caliste and Rachel, who had co all the way here to help.

But then, as he was about to speak, another voice resounded from the right.

"The king is here."
