Rachel was the best. Ever since she was a child, no one had ever co close to her talent.

When she reached the age of five, she was already stronger than her brothers, who were 8 and 9. They couldn’t even beat her in a fight. She was just gifted at everything she tried, and no one could do anything against her.

That’s why, when she heard that the Son of the Demon King was coming to the Academy, she beca a little interested in his abilities. She had heard that he was quite weak and had been protected by his mother and sister for most of his life.

However, she had seen the way he fought against the previous number 1 first-year. He had completely demolished her and had done it with a lot of skill.

He had beaten her as if he had fought countless tis before, completely contradicting the rumors. His strength was also on a completely different level than ever before.

Looking at him almost made her rember her past self.

’Let’s see how strong you really are, Caliste.’

She was almost excited as she watched from backstage.

She didn’t want to show her presence, as it would cause more chaos than anything else. She was also interested in the choice he would be making afterward. She knew that everything pointed toward Beerus. However, her instincts were telling her otherwise, and she was rarely wrong.

"Sorry for the delay! We got so help and obtained a new mana crystal for the test."

The secretary quickly got things done and replaced the now-broken mana crystal in record ti.

Then, things could continue.

"Everything is ready. Whenever you are ready, please place your hand on the mana crystal before you," she said as she walked away without further delay.

Caliste kept a neutral expression as he approached the machine again. He could feel that this mana crystal would be able to handle his mana this ti around. He was almost sure of it.

He placed his hand on the crystal, and this ti, a strong light exuded from the crystal, blinding everyone in the room.

No one could see anything this ti.

Even Rachel, who was backstage, had to frown slightly at the energy being put into the mana crystal.

’That’s... insane. Just how strong is he for his age?’ she thought in the back of her mind.

She already knew that he had beaten her past records, and he hadn’t done so by a small margin. He was much stronger than she had been back then.

A few seconds later, things cald down, and the results finally appeared on the tablet. This ti, the secretary’s jaw dropped at the numbers.

She had never seen anything like it in her life with a first-year.

"The results for Caliste Henry’s potential are as follows."

Everyone stood in silence as they waited for the secretary’s next words.

The atmosphere shifted. It beca heavy as everyone’s gaze landed on Caliste, who stood in the middle of the crowd without any emotions. He did not look at anyone in particular.

The professors tried to attract his gaze, but it was no use. He looked focused on nothingness.

Even Beerus started to realize that obtaining him might be a little challenge.

’I have an advantage over the others... but with this talent, there’s a chance that he will choose soone more attractive.’

They knew that the other professors were already thinking about what to offer the little genius on the stage. However, Beerus also knew that with his connections to demons, Caliste would be interested in him before the others.

Or, at the very least, that’s what he desperately hoped for.

Fleur, who watched from afar, could only gasp as the amount of energy she felt through the room was at least twice what she had released back then.

’Just how much stronger is he?’ Fleur shook her head, unable to believe what she had just witnessed. ’Just who are you really, Caliste Henry? How are you so powerful?’

Caliste was such a mysterious student; questions without answers surrounded him consistently, and there was no way to figure them out.

Fleur still wondered just how much he knew about the past because of his strong emotions. After all, back at the supper, he had been acting against the Demon King.

Ever since then, she had decided to get closer to him subtly. She wanted to know what he knew. That theory confird itself even further once they arrived at the library and were t with the ghost child of Diana.

Fleur still rembered the look in his eyes as he realized who stood before him. It was as if he had recognized a long-ti friend.

Still, she had no choice but to dismiss those thoughts as the secretary’s mouth opened slowly.

"The overall potential of Caliste Henry is SSS-Rank, the best potential of all first-years that have ever gone through the academy."

Everyone held their breath as the next results would be the most interesting.

"In terms of Mana Quantity, Caliste Henry scored 3,213, obtaining the SSS-Rank. And in terms of Mana Purity, he scored the best score ever recorded in the Demonic Academy: 5,321, obviously granting him the SSS-Rank."

"5,321 in Mana Purity?!"

"That’s crazy!"

"Even the fourth years aren’t close to this Mana Purity!"

Caliste could only smirk internally at those reactions.

It was only normal for his mana to be so pure. In his past life and even this one, his control over mana had always been perfect. However, what truly made him better than anyone else was his Mana Cultivation Technique.

A technique that he had created himself and kept to himself ever since he had done so. No one from his past friends had a single clue about it.

The professors slowly ca out of their stupor as they began to shout over one another, making offers even bigger than they had anticipated.

Caliste was even better than most fourth-years. They needed to obtain him no matter what.
