[Am I seeing things? Is that Scarlett Jennings?]
[Ahhh! My girl! Why is she here?!]
[Is that really the young master Scarlett? Wow, I’m starting to believe the strear about the dragon in the mountain.]
Even if there’s no dragon, there’s definitely a Mountain Spirit, right?!
Everyone knows Scarlett Jennings is from the Mystical Sect.
If she’s appearing in this obscure mountain village, there must be sothing here... in this mountain!
Maybe that huge storm a few days ago was caused by her.
After all, she did publicly pray for rain on a variety show once.
The viewers unknowingly hit the truth, and as they continued to chatter excitedly in the comnts, many of Scarlett Jennings’ fans quickly poured into Jack Wright’s livestream.
Everyone says wherever Scarlett Jennings appears, there’s bound to be traffic, but Jack Wright didn’t expect such a surge.
No exaggeration, this was the highest traffic he had ever experienced since becoming a strear.
Even the number of followers in the background was visibly increasing.
But right now, Jack Wright couldn’t concern himself with the traffic.
He kept his eyes fixed on Scarlett Jennings until she fully erged from the fog, and only then did he quietly let out a breath,
"Are you Scarlett Jennings?"
What he actually wanted to ask was, is that really you? Alive?
Scarlett Jennings wasn’t surprised she was recognized and nodded.
Seeing her nod, Jack Wright quietly let out another breath.
Regardless of Scarlett Jennings’ identity, considering her abilities, her being here ant that even if there were strange creatures in the mountains, there was an expert ahead to protect them.
He was safe.
Perhaps the encounter with a Master made him feel at ease, Jack Wright lost his earlier nervousness and even started talking about the strange situations he had just encountered. He asked her,
"Master Scarlett, do you think I encountered so mountain creature or a Divine Dragon Guardian?"
That’s right, he still believed there was a dragon here.
Maybe Scarlett Jennings was here searching for the dragon too.
He watched as Scarlett Jennings, after hearing his question, gave him a peculiar look, didn’t respond imdiately, and suddenly called behind herself,
"Yunshui."
Jack Wright and the livestream viewers saw a child identical to the previous ones running over from the fog when Scarlett Jennings called the na.
Rembering the twelve children surrounding him earlier, Jack Wright instinctively took a small step back as the child approached.
Scarlett Jennings wasn’t bothered by his reaction. She patted the child on the head when he ca close and then explained to Jack Wright,
"If he scared you, he’s a child from a village down the mountain."
Scarlett Jennings said,
"I ca to this mountain for training a few days ago and was experinting with a new Clone Talisman. I used him to test it, not expecting that the shadows would scatter and scare people."
Scarlett Jennings’ tone was earnest with a hint of apology, but Jack Wright and the livestream audience were left stunned by her explanation.
That’s... just it?
"You’re saying those twelve kids... were shadows of him you created? Like projections?"
Scarlett Jennings nodded without a blush, "Yes."
Jack Wright was inclined to believe it, but he still felt sothing was off, so he asked again uncertainly,
"Are you sure it’s not, like, twelve-tuplets or sothing?"
Scarlett Jennings replied seriously, "Normal people can’t give birth to twelve-tuplets."
Unless it’s in a novel where one birth yields ten treasures.
Or... they aren’t normal people.
Scarlett Jennings felt she wasn’t lying.
Her serious and ticulous deanor was always convincing, so Jack Wright and most of the livestream audience believed her.
A few skeptics suggested the fog was strange and maybe was hiding the other eleven children as so Eye-blocking Technique?
Scarlett Jennings, hearing Jack Wright relay the question, remained calm and explained plainly,
"This is just a normal effect of magic."
As she spoke, a Yellow Talisman burned in her hand.
In the next mont, the shadows that were barely visible in the fog disappeared as the surrounding fog dispersed silently.
The area returned to clarity, with no trace of the twelve children, leaving only the child nad Yunshui standing obediently beside Scarlett Jennings, just as she had explained.
What Jack Wright didn’t know was that when the fog dispersed, the other eleven kids were taken away by Dashiell and Shellback in collaboration.
Dashiell, who had been recovering in the mountain for two days, was now able to revert to human form.
He was still a bit grumpy.
"People already ca looking; I should’ve let my fans see just now!"
Dashiell had heard that the strear ca searching for a dragon, but wasn’t it himself he was searching for?
So those should be his dragon fans.
He should have shown himself.
Especially with the fog gathering in the forest just now, the atmosphere was perfect.
He had imagined manifesting in his true form, winding through the fog.
The strear would have been thrilled.
Dashiell muttered under his breath, and Shellback almost rolled his turtle eyes in response, thinking anything but thrilled.
A fright seed more likely.
Jade Bennett had no such restraints and overtly rolled her eyes at the small dragon,
"If you went for the mysterious and had your brief mont, soon everyone would co here dragon hunting, and us Spiritual Objects wouldn’t have any peace then, would we?"
This is a livestream.
If any sign of a dragon appeared on the livestream today, by tomorrow this mountain would be flattened by humans.
Modern strears seeking fa would do anything, wouldn’t they?
Although there’s a Barrier set up by Magnolia Hearne near Artefact Village, with so many visitors, eventually one or two might accidentally breach the Barrier.
Then none of us would have any peace.
Having Scarlett Jennings "debunk" it was the most appropriate way.
With this thought, Jade Bennett glared coldly at the eleven cubs that had been dragged back by force.
"You little brats, deliberately sticking to that person. We’ll definitely settle this with you when we return to the village!"
The eleven identical children looked innocent and aggrieved. It was the person who barged into their bamboo shoot digging territory first.
They just wanted to scare him off. They didn’t expect him to bring such a commotion.
A row of youngsters hung their heads, looking appropriately remorseful, even their little topknots drooping.
In the ti it took to have this conversation, Scarlett Jennings successfully dispelled the rumor about there being a dragon in the mountain.
Jack Wright could doubt netizens’ words, but he couldn’t easily question Master Scarlett’s words.
Besides, she didn’t seem to have any reason to lie to him.
In contrast, he felt embarrassed having trespassed in her training ground.
Though knowing the person in front of him represented livestream traffic, Jack Wright didn’t insist on filming her further. Seeing his chance, he cheerfully bid farewell and planned to head downhill.
Scarlett Jennings saw his expression and suddenly felt her heart move slightly. She stopped him and asked,
"I have a Talisman that might be useful for your brother. Would you like to buy it? Three hundred bucks."
Hearing her words, Jack Wright halted imdiately, turned around, and replied without hesitation,
"I’ll buy it!"
