Chapter 894: Chapter 894: Please Allow to Guard the Seas for You
“Scarlett…”
Dashiell whispered as he looked at Scarlett Jennings in front of him, his expression akin to a child caught doing sothing wrong,
“I didn’t notice Brother Samuel left on his own.”
He was very frustrated; he had moved here initially to help Scarlett, yet their relationship hadn’t improved much, and now he couldn’t even keep an eye on him.
“It’s not your fault,” Scarlett Jennings said.
Samuel Chalrs could teleport; if he wanted to leave, no one could stop him.
She was just…angry.
Angry at him for leaving without a word, once again.
But what followed was a profound feeling of helplessness.
Maybe sensing Scarlett Jennings’ emotions, Liora Gold imdiately erged from her pocket, looking around before darting out to find Araminta Gold in a corner.
Araminta Gold was crouching in a corner with her back to the room, pulled out by Liora, and imdiately pretended to cry loudly, stomping her foot in anger.
Evidently upset and sad that Samuel Chalrs had even left her behind.
Scarlett Jennings knew at a glance that Samuel Chalrs didn’t intend for her to find him, but she could guess where he had gone.
It must still be that area of sea agreed upon by the rfolk.
Dashiell couldn’t help but express his indignation,
“How could Brother Samuel be like that? He took away the Benedict Beast but didn’t even take your little paperman!”
He then asked Scarlett Jennings, “Shall we still go after him?”
“Yes, of course,” Scarlett Jennings responded without hesitation. She knew why Samuel Chalrs left without saying goodbye, but she couldn’t just ignore it because he left unannounced.
Even if it wasn’t for Samuel Chalrs, having seen the tragic state of the rfolk clan after the corruption, she would still go.
After all, she had already promised Noah Zimrman.
There wasn’t much ti for sorrow; Scarlett Jennings imdiately asked Dashiell to transform back to his original form, guided by Harrison Ward, heading to the Azure Sea.
Dashiell naturally had no objections, about to transform back into his original form to take them there, when they suddenly sensed an aura appearing abruptly in the courtyard.
Turning to look, they found Simon standing there, unannounced.
He looked at Scarlett Jennings without saying much, only stated,
“I’ll take you there.”
As he spoke, he glanced at Dashiell, “I’m faster than him.”
Dashiell: …
Though he knew what Simon said was probably true, Dashiell still felt offended.
Is being a dragon so great?
Despite his internal resentnt, Dashiell let Scarlett Jennings and the others follow Simon.
He understood the priority; the most urgent task now was to catch up with Samuel Chalrs quickly. Everything else was secondary.
Even saying that, Dashiell transford back into a serpent, following closely behind Simon all the way.
He knew his current strength was lacking, but he wouldn’t always be weak.
*
As Scarlett Jennings and her group hurried along.
At this mont, the Azure Sea.
Samuel Chalrs stood on the sea’s surface, but upon closer inspection, you’d find that he was rely hovering above the water without any contact.
The Benedict Jade rested on his shoulder, gazing at the seemingly calm but tumultuous sea with solemn eyes.
Though it had not returned to its true form, it could still sense a deathly aura surging from the far end of the sea.
The surface of the sea was shrouded with an aura of death.
And in Samuel Chalrs’ eyes, this deathly aura was accompanied by the already corrupted seawater.
The impurity used on the Imp Sprite by the Ghost Fog indeed originated here.
If left unchecked, even without mischief from the Ghost Fog, this sea area would die completely.
And as this sea area perished, the pollution would continue to spread, until…the ocean’s end.
“It’s human-discharged nuclear wastewater.”
Samuel Chalrs had traced the source of the pollution after that day.
Since last year, the Flower Nation had officially discharged nuclear wastewater into the ocean. Although there was opposition, those voices were eventually silenced.
Yet while the voices disappeared, the fact of the ocean’s pollution did not.
Now, the consequences were beginning to show.
But, the consequences sown by one side should not be borne by the world.
“To cleanse all the pollution at the source, I’ll need to pour all my accumulated power into it, after which I will enter a slumber once more.”
This understanding was why he hadn’t said goodbye to Scarlett Jennings.
He knew how important Samuel Chalrs was to her.
And he knew how long she had waited for his return.
Sadly, the person she waited for was himself.
Luckily, it was himself.
As long as it wasn’t the original Samuel Chalrs falling into slumber again, perhaps she wouldn’t be too disheartened.
As for him…
From the beginning, he knew what he had to do.
He was the Dragon Vein; cleansing the world’s pollution was his responsibility.
The ink-black pupils seed tranquil, but deeper, whirlpools like those beneath the deep sea were hidden.
Samuel Chalrs did not hesitate; having made up his mind, there was no need to waver.
“Next, you’ll protect .”
Samuel Chalrs said, stepping forward, and in the next mont, he felt as if sothing gently held his heart.
In his ears, faintly, he seed to hear the sound of the wind and her voice.
“Samuel Chalrs…wait for a little longer.”
…
High above the cloud layers, the massive black dragon moved like lightning, rushing through.
He didn’t deliberately conceal his form, but at his speed, even if discovered, he would vanish before they could clearly see him.
Scarlett Jennings was sitting on Simon’s back, the barrier around her shielding her from the effects of rapid movent.
She silently clutched the North Spirit Stone around her chest, murmuring as if to herself, or hoping that this Heart Stone connected to his heart could let him hear her voice.
She didn’t expect him to stop what he was doing.
But…she still wished he would wait for her a little longer.
“Otherwise…I won’t wait for you anymore either.”
Samuel Chalrs’ steps paused slightly as her resolute voice clearly entered his ears.
The gaze that had been tranquil was slightly stirred.
In just a second, it returned to its original state.
Golden Light unhesitatingly spread, forming a huge barrier above the sea.
The barrier enveloped him and the Benedict Beast within. Just as he was about to infuse his entire being of Golden Light into the sea, unexpectedly, the Benedict Jade suddenly emitted a golden light.
In the next mont, the massive true form of the Benedict Beast slowly appeared within the barrier.
No longer in its jade form, but in its true form, the only thing different was the absence of the original mountains and rivers upon its tortoise back, a pair of deep eyes, murky, yet exuding warmth and kindness,
“Master, thank you for bringing here.”
Its true form weak in power, unable to move on its own.
So, it had to rely on the jade body to travel.
Samuel Chalrs looked at it, furrowing his brows slightly, “Your true form hasn’t recovered yet; you shouldn’t force the soul gathering.”
“I know, which is why I have shed the mountains and rivers.”
The Benedict Beast said,
“I have borne them for tens of thousands of years, and if not for you, I would have long been unable to carry them…
Though to cleanse pollution is your responsibility, the world’s mountains, rivers, lakes, and seas are not yours alone to bear. You shouldn’t invest all your power here.”
It said, looking toward the sea’s expanse, shrouded in the scent of death, its murky eyes cold and decisive,
“You are the Dragon Vein, you must not bring harm upon yourself due to pollution.
Today I entrust the mountains and rivers to you for safekeeping. In return, let guard the seas for you this ti.”
