Donovan stated his position, and naturally, Lucas Jennings and Adam Jennings had no objections.

Lucas worried that he might not be showing enough enthusiasm, so he proactively expressed,

"Chaos? Bring it on! We love chaos the most!"

As he spoke, he didn’t forget to pull in Adam, who was beside him, "Brother Adam, right?!"

Adam: ...

"Hmm... I like it too, it’s thrilling."

Thus, the matter of the trio staying was settled.

However, because the Demonization Barrier Eye Technique on Lucas had disappeared, he couldn’t follow them back to the seats in the venue to watch the match.

Scarlett Jennings asked him to stay there, with Sylvia Murray and other Mystic Regulation Office mbers.

As for her and Samuel Chalrs, they continued to be responsible for screening demons at the two venues, which might have been contaminated by the impurity.

Before they parted, Scarlett motioned to Samuel,

"Give your hand for a mont."

Her voice was very calm, no sign of the previous outburst.

Even though Samuel didn’t know what she wanted to do, he still gave her his hand.

Scarlett placed her palm on his, regardless of his reaction, silently releasing Demon Energy trying to sense the aura in him.

Samuel noticed but did not stop her.

It wasn’t until she confird that, as he said, the absorbed impurity hadn’t had any unusual effect on him, that Scarlett retracted her hand.

Then she decisively turned around, leading Donovan and the others straight back to the first venue.

Samuel watched her leave and after a mont, he finally turned around to return to his own second venue.

Scarlett’s face remained calm the whole ti, which actually made Donovan and the others a bit worried.

Dashiell initially wanted to stay with Lucas, but after all, worried about Scarlett, he followed her, looking at her, wanting to speak but stopping,

"Scarlett, are you alright?"

Looking at him, Scarlett seed to know what he was asking but showed no signs of any waves on her face, instead saying,

"I’m fine, I’ve made up my mind."

Upon hearing this, Donovan and the others looked at her, seemingly curious about what she’d decided.

And heard her continue,

"Once this is resolved, I’ll try striking him with the Thunder Talisman a few tis."

The "him" naturally referred to Samuel.

Scarlett was talking about Dashiell’s suggestion from earlier, using a similar thod to shake things up for him.

Scarlett initially wanted to try using the Thunder Talisman but was later dissuaded by Dashiell.

But now she felt that such a more intense approach might not be too bad to use.

Isn’t it just mories without feelings?

Strike him a few tis, who knows, it might wake him up.

Anyway, he himself said,

He’s a Dragon Vein now, physically robust, won’t be damaged.

The few people present listened to her words, at this mont, falling silent with a sowhat subtle expression.

Her too calm response after hearing Samuel’s words made Donovan worry she might be holding in her hurt feelings.

Thinking now, Scarlett wasn’t soone who would bury her grievances and wrong herself.

Seeing she clearly had an idea, Donovan was suddenly relieved, eyebrows curving, laughing,

"I think it’s a good idea."

Adam: ...

Shouldn’t you listen to what you’re saying?

If soone doesn’t love you anymore, they deserve a lightning strike.

Is this how couples are treated in the Mystical Scholarly Realm?

Then again, if it weren’t Samuel, Scarlett probably wouldn’t care so much.

Anyway, Samuel isn’t an ordinary person now, perhaps, probably, should be undamageable.

Adam thought to himself, also sowhat grateful.

At the ti, when he was all over Azura Loomis, Scarlett didn’t hold it against him.

Otherwise, he wouldn’t be standing here properly.

...

The tournant continued.

In the morning, the initial screening for the Young Demon Level’s three classes concluded and the few Imp Sprites who were frightened because Lucas lost his tail were now soothed, sitting quietly in the audience waiting to see other classes’ internal selections.

Donovan and Adam still sat in their original positions, but surrounded by Hannah Hearne, Dashiell, and Mystic Regulation Office mbers, nothing unexpected would occur for a while.

The afternoon session’s first venue scheduled the internal selection for the Demon Level Advanced Class.

Scarlett was sowhat surprised to see a few familiar faces.

These included those who participated in the Academy tournant with Callum Yuan back then, such as that Panda Demon called Hill.

The little chubby demon, eting Scarlett’s gaze, suddenly recalled the hundred-year stinky Talisman she gave them back then, shivering all over, painfully covering his nose, hiding behind one of the demon bodies.

That demon was also one who participated in the Academy tournant before. Following Hill’s gaze, he also noticed Scarlett’s gaze, face stiffening, but not as timid as Hill.

Just quietly warning,

"Show so spirit, don’t let that woman look down on us!"

The affair of Scarlett enrolling in the Academy of Mystique as an exchange student was an open secret.

Upon hearing she belonged to the Hearne Family as a Half-Demon and joined the Young Demon Level, they had gathered to make jokes about her.

But this woman played by no rules.

In three months, she rose from Young Demon Level to Demon Level.

At the ti, they and Luke Hearne were all ready to give her a hard ti as she leveled up into their class.

Unexpectedly, she directly jumped to the Special Demon Squad.

Now in the academy’s internal selection, she’s even an observer sitting with the Demon Masters on the observers’ seats.

This gap, they lost the desire to compare.

But comparison aside, they couldn’t lose spirit.

"Do your best in the match, don’t slack off again."

The speaker was Wu Hu, a pureblood Tiger Demon, probably the best friend of Hill within the Demon Level.

Hill mumbled a vague agreent, but showed no enthusiasm.

He didn’t understand why the internal selection had to include fights.

He didn’t enjoy fighting.

He’s a national treasure; why does he still have to fight?

Mumbling inwardly, sure enough, when the group arena comnced, Hill hung onto Wu Hu’s legs throughout to pass the rough screening.

Scarlett watched his whole performance and, despite the influence of the Array, saw no intention of him to wield his demonic power.

After thinking for a mont, before the next match’s comncent, she had the staff help bring sothing over.

The next match was a duel; only those who passed the previous round screening could enter this collective match stage.

Hill looked at his first match selection and saw he was paired against Luke Hearne. He imdiately decided to surrender once on stage.

He knew Luke Hearne; biting from him hurt.

Though his skin was thick, he didn’t want to be bitten by a fox.

Having made up his mind, Hill suddenly sniffed sothing, turning instinctively to a certain place.

On the stands, Scarlett had an extra fresh bamboo shoot in her hand, without him knowing when.

He didn’t know what she did to that bamboo shoot, but Hill witnessed a tempting Golden Light emanating from it, and just from watching far away, he couldn’t resist drooling.

At that mont, Scarlett matched his gaze, squinting her almond-shaped eyes slightly, then mouthed sothing to him across the distance.

Hill’s pair of shiny black eyes sparkled brightly.

He saw her say—

[Win this match, it’s yours.]

Almost instantly, Hill’s aura changed.

The chubby body of his slowly straightened up, and as the match comnced, the Panda Demon’s power erupted all around.

The next second, he transford right there into a round, rotund fat panda, then ferociously charged directly at the opposite side, Luke Hearne.

The Golden Bamboo Shoot, he was determined to eat it!
