Scarlett Jennings was silent at the sa ti as the livestream audience.
Who could have imagined that while everyone was worried sick about her sudden disappearance, she was calmly sitting here snacking on—
Glancing at the table, there was a bag of chips, two chocolate bars, a pack of spicy strips, half a piece of tiramisu, and most of a cup of milk tea...
[Haha~ My dear Ariel is taking good care of herself.]
[Turning fear into appetite, right? That’s perfectly fine.]
[Sorry, my wife worried everyone again. I’ll have a talk with her tonight~]
Ariel Zimrman, unaware that the cara was still rolling, covered her mouth in embarrassnt as she burped, then quickly set down her milk tea and dashed over to Scarlett Jennings, whispering,
"Scarlett, can you check this for , is my signature okay? It won’t bind to so sort of contract, right?"
In her hand, she was unknowingly holding a photo signed in her flamboyant artistic style.
Scarlett Jennings noticed it was likely a fan rchandise photo she had signed while sipping milk tea.
The person in charge cleared his throat and calmly explained,
"So of the staff at the Spirit Headquarters are fans of Miss Zimrman."
It was a rare coincidence, and they seized the opportunity for a little celebrity chase.
In fact, many at headquarters were fans of both Scarlett and the show’s crew.
For example, David Allen.
Scarlett Jennings happened to spot a postcard on the table. Unlike Ariel’s personal photos, it was a photo of a building’s exterior.
And Ariel’s signature, along with others, was on it.
"You signed it even though you weren’t sure? That’s daring,"
Scarlett asked Ariel.
Ariel replied sheepishly,
"I couldn’t refuse their enthusiasm."
Besides, it was her artistic signature, not her official one. It shouldn’t be used for anything nefarious, right?
Scarlett couldn’t decide whether to call her cautious or careless and reassured her, "Everything else is fine, but this photo..."
Scarlett was about to say it might be inappropriate to sign on a photo of David Allen’s essence when suddenly, the postcard vanished into thin air.
anwhile, on the other side.
Once Scarlett and Lucienne Xander had entered the Ghost Tower, Cedric Wilder and his group began searching for the real presence of the Ghost Tower amidst the mist and rain.
Unlike before, when it appeared openly, the Ghost Tower had begun to conceal itself after allowing them inside.
Cedric judged that the Ghost Tower was likely hidden within one of the building structures, but after a long search, they still couldn’t identify which building it truly was.
Just as they were growing anxious, suddenly, a change occurred on the building structure behind Cedric.
Everyone turned to see a giant... artistic signature appear out of nowhere on the otherwise unremarkable building wall.
It was indeed Ariel Zimrman’s.
Everyone:...
Alright, they found the real one.

Inside the Spirit Headquarters building.
After smoothly locating Ariel, Scarlett asked about Amber Livingston’s whereabouts.
The person in charge was silent for a mont and then said,
"During the reception of a batch of new souls today, there was an accident when preparing to send them into the Ghost Gate. Two new souls escaped, and I believe Mr. Xie Zhen might have been led away by the escaped souls."
Scarlett and Ariel waited quietly for a second, then asked,
"So, do we know where he might have gone?"
The person in charge said,
"He might still be hiding in so room within this building, or maybe... accidentally entered so Ghost Gate."
Due to intensive collaboration with the Underworld, the headquarters had several corresponding Ghost Gates within.
Besides the passage Ghost Gates across from the office cubicles, there were also dedicated Ghost Gates for guiding souls.
These Ghost Gates were categorized into those for new souls and those for Evil Ghosts and so on.
Each Ghost Gate led to a different entrance to the Underworld.
If Amber Livingston were hiding sowhere inside the building, all would be well. But if they accidentally opened a Ghost Gate...
Hearing that Amber Livingston might have wandered into a Ghost Gate, Ariel lost all mood to finish her milk tea and nervously exclaid,
"Why would he just wander off with soone?!"
Even kids know staying put is best when lost, waiting to be found!
Like her.
In any case, they had to confirm Amber Livingston’s safety first.
Scarlett glanced at the building and suddenly asked,
"Since this building is essentially David Allen, can’t it sense intruders’ locations?"
The person in charge shook his head,
"Though David Allen is sentient, its perception is weak, and..."
He paused and continued,
"It only listens to the boss."
No employee, including himself, could directly communicate with David Allen.
Without saying, if Calista Xander accidentally passed through a Ghost Gate into the Underworld, they would need their boss to get her back.
Scarlett asked, "So who is your boss? Is he in the building?"
The person in charge said, "Our boss never ets with outsiders. He’s in..."
Mid-sentence, a commotion suddenly erupted nearby.
The room storing the batch of souls newly received that day had sohow been opened again.
All the souls waiting to be guided to the Underworld poured out!
"What’s going on?! Quickly, gather the souls back in!"
The person in charge turned to shout coldly, and a Spirit Affairs mber responsible for reception hurried over.
The soul bodies of varying sizes dashed chaotically around the room. When one ran helter-skelter towards Ariel, Scarlett instinctively placed herself in front of her, raising her hand to throw a Spirit Talisman at the new soul.
The new soul was stuck motionless against the wall by the Talisman.
In that mont of distraction, Scarlett felt the Spirit Light Chain bound around her other hand loosen.
Sure enough, the Spirit Light Chain originally restraining Elysia Xander had been slowly gnawed away by the Black Mist seeping from Scarlett’s body.
Elysia had been waiting for the mont Scarlett dealt with the new soul because once she did, her attention would be diverted from Elysia.
Seizing the opportunity, Elysia broke free from the chain and imdiately fled.
Scarlett’s eyes darkened, knowing the escape of these new souls was definitely connected to Elysia.
As she flung out another Binding Talisman, Elysia managed to grab a new soul to collide with the incoming Talisman at the last second.
By the ti Scarlett dismissed the new soul, Elysia’s figure had already vanished.
Scarlett furrowed her brows, ready to pursue, when she heard the person in charge say,
"Don’t worry. Without David Allen’s permission, she can’t leave the building."
Scarlett was far from reassured.
Elysia could manipulate the uncanny Black Mist that every mber of the Black Mist Organization possessed. She hadn’t yet fully deciphered the components of the Black Mist and couldn’t allow her to escape.
Let alone, there were Ghost Gates throughout the building capable of leading to the Underworld.
Leaving Ariel with the person in charge, Scarlett stated, "Keep an eye on her for ."
Then she turned and chased after Elysia.
Ignoring the person in charge’s shouted regulation from behind, stating, "No one is allowed to roam the building without the boss’s permission."
Such rules were only ant for employees.
She wasn’t an employee of the Spirit Affairs.
