Chapter 54: Chapter 54 Isolde Garrison’s Confession Chapter 54: Chapter 54 Isolde Garrison’s Confession The mont Isolde Garrison saw Scarlett Jennings in the hospital room, she was stunned, but her eyes imdiately lit up.
This was the first ti she was so happy to see Scarlett Jennings!
“Scarlett Jennings!”
Isolde was a bit excited and tried to get up, but she forgot that her leg was broken and her back was sprained. As she moved, her face twisted in pain.
Emma White looked at Scarlett Jennings, her expression showing obvious wariness.
They had tried so hard to get her here, but she ignored them all. Why would she co today out of sheer goodwill?
“What are you here for?” Emma White asked.
Scarlett Jennings just glanced at her, “Weren’t you the ones who invited here?”
As she spoke, Timothy Garrison and Josiah Garrison returned from outside. Compared to the last ti Scarlett saw them, they both had evidently acquired new injuries.
Just, equally unlucky.
Scarlett’s gaze swept over the black aura still lingering around them, faintly understanding sothing.
But she said nothing more.
She simply walked into the room and spoke concisely,
“I’m here today for two reasons. First, I can rid Isolde Garrison of the cursed object, but I’ll only do it this once. Whatever she invites afterwards will have nothing to do with .”
Before Scarlett could finish, Isolde urgently responded,
“Just save this ti. As long as you’re willing to help , from now on, I’ll still think of you as my sister!”
Scarlett’s face darkened at those words, and she just wanted to turn around and leave.
“Who wants to be your sister! If you want to save you, don’t use such disgusting titles for in the future. I have nothing to do with the Garrison Family anymore.”
Scarlett remained as ruthless as she had been at the banquet before.
A glint of coldness passed through Timothy Garrison’s eyes, but he quickly returned to normal,
“We agree, as long as you help Isolde this ti.”
Scarlett, however, didn’t move imdiately.
“Second, I need you to write a transfer docunt for the bracelet, with signature and seal.”
Josiah Garrison frowned at this, “Scarlett, since we’ve given you the bracelet, we won’t take it back, so why say such things?”
Scarlett just glanced at him, her tone cool, “That’s not certain.”
She paused, then added directly, “I don’t trust you.”
Timothy Garrison’s face darkened even more, but he only said, “I promise you.”
Scarlett then requested that Timothy Garrison write the transfer docunt on the spot and sign and seal it.
For Isolde Garrison, Timothy dared not abandon this last chance with Scarlett, so he obediently complied.
Scarlett accepted the transfer docunt, then said, “Additionally, I charge five million per instance, transfer the money first before I take action, and throughout the process, Isolde must listen to .”
Emma White had held back until now, but hearing this, she couldn’t help but rush forward to curse,
“Five million?! Are you deliberately robbing us?!
You little brat, I think you’re just creating excuses to get the five million we transferred back!
You say so much, don’t you just want to extort money?! I’m telling you, no way!”
She gestured to Timothy again,
“Timothy, this girl’s words can’t be trusted, chase her out quickly…”
Timothy’s expression was equally gloomy, but he didn’t respond imdiately.
Scarlett didn’t say much, either. She casually pulled out a Yellow Talisman from her backpack and tossed it in Isolde’s direction.
The Yellow Talisman moved without wind, flying around Isolde’s body before stopping directly in front of her head.
Scarlett’s sudden move instantly silenced the Garrison Family, who initially didn’t trust her.
Even more surprising for Isolde was that as the Yellow Talisman flew around her, she distinctly felt the haunting cold in her body weaken, replaced by a bit of warmth.
A trace of brightness erged on Isolde’s previously haggard face, and she didn’t hesitate at all,
“I’ll transfer five million to you, help eliminate Delilah Woods, that Evil Ghost!”
Scarlett noticed how Isolde gritted her teeth when she ntioned Delilah Woods, clearly believing the clingy ghost to be Delilah turned into a spirit.
Her gaze turned cold, but she said calmly,
“Her grievances run deep. I can’t eliminate her, but I can dissipate her resentnt, so she won’t haunt you anymore.”
Isolde only wanted Delilah Woods to vanish, and when Scarlett said she couldn’t eliminate her, she frowned briefly.
But before she could hesitate, Scarlett made a move to leave.
Isolde dared not delay any further,
“You must ensure she doesn’t co after again!”
She was tired of seeing that horrifying face every ti she opened her eyes.
Scarlett thought that since the Resentful Infant had been taken away, it couldn’t use resentnt to affect Isolde anymore. She wouldn’t co across Delilah Woods’ Ghost again.
So she nodded, “But you have to listen to .”
…
Fifteen minutes later, Isolde stared at the small paper lantern made of Yellow Talismans floating before her, surprised and sowhat unsure as she looked at Scarlett.
“Do I really have to do this?”
“Sincerely reflect on what you did to her in front of the paper lantern and repent. Only if she feels your regret will she stop haunting you.”
Isolde’s face showed obvious hesitation,
“You’re not secretly recording or filming , are you?”
Scarlett just glanced at her and casually tossed her phone to the sofa.
Isolde, seeing the phone still on its locked screen, felt reassured and glanced at the other three Garrison Family mbers standing nearby.
Hesitant for a mont, her voice sounded pleading, “Mom, Dad, Brother, could you please step outside?”
Emma White seed perplexed at this, “Isolde, how could we leave you alone in a room with this little… with Scarlett Jennings? Don’t worry, Mom will stay here with you.”
Josiah Garrison also said, “No need to be afraid, Isolde; I’ll be here watching over you.”
Isolde’s expression turned strange and uncomfortable.
Seeing this, Scarlett couldn’t help but laugh,
“It’s clear she doesn’t want you to hear about the bad things she did, to discover what an ugly heart lies beneath her exterior… does she really have to spell this out?”
Her tone sounded sincere, but her voice was full of mockery.
Isolde’s face turned pale, “Scarlett Jennings! Don’t go too far!”
Scarlett looked at her, the smile on her lips fading, her eyes full of indifference,
“I’ve already told you the thod. It’s up to you whether to do it or not, but I’ll give you just one minute. After that, I won’t bother with your troubles anymore.”
Her words were blunt, and Isolde didn’t doubt for a second that she’d follow through, but… admitting to her family what she did to Delilah Woods…
She, she couldn’t do it.
Just as Isolde was about to break into tears from anxiety, Timothy Garrison finally spoke up,
“You all co out with .”
With that, he turned and walked out.
Seeing this, Emma White and Josiah Garrison, though curious, followed Timothy out of the hospital room.
Finally, only Isolde Garrison and Scarlett Jennings were left in the room.
Isolde finally sighed in relief, turning to the small paper lantern still floating in mid-air. After a mont, her face showed a painful expression, and she whimpered softly,
“Delilah Woods, I—I’m sorry, I… I know I’m wrong…”
